On top of that, Fu Wan felt like Bai Wenxuan was not paying enough attention to her; thus, she was really depressed. So instead of taking care of her pregnancy, she went to chase after Bai Wenxuan. It was through sheer willpower that they were able to stop her from running amok. And if that wasn’t enough, now that she had given birth, she refused to even check up on the baby, saying that he was way too loud. Even when Xiao Chenye told her that the baby needed to be taken care of by her, Fu Wan simply refused to budge. She even said that if she was going to get annoyed to death by him.
So after giving birth, she dumped the responsibility of the child onto Xiao Chenye and the others without bothering to co and take a look at the baby. What was more, the woman hadn’t prepared anything. She didn’t have a maternity bag, nor did she have any pads that she could use to deal with the leaking blood. Thus, at the mont, she was trapped in the bathing room with half of her body subrged in the hot water tub.
She didn’t want to lower her head and beg Bai iyue; thus, the current situation was stuck in status quo.
Because Fu Wan had no ti to care about the child, Xiao Chenye had no other choice but to co looking for the baby. However, the second they arrived at the incubator room, they realised that their young master was crying his eyes out. They thought that as long as they comforted him a little, the baby would stop crying, but he didn’t stop crying; if anything, he started to cry even harder after they picked him up.
"Don’t pick up the baby if you don’t know what is wrong with him," said Bai iyue with a frown. "The baby is not used to you or the rest of your team mbers. Of course, he is going to be startled if so stranger just picks him up, and as for why he is crying? It’s your eldest lady’s fault. A newborn child will crave the affection and attention of those who take care of him. Since your eldest lady is not taking care of him, we can only leave him in the care of soone else. Unfortunately, she also has a baby to take care of and cannot take care of your baby all the ti."
Nurse Lin nodded. "Don’t underestimate babies just because you think that they don’t know or understand anything. They are smarter than you give them credit for. Your young master knows who takes care of him every day; naturally, he will be upset when his caretaker is missing." She looked down at the baby in her arms and sighed, "Forget it; I will ask the caretaker to bring her child to the incubator room and take care of your young master, as he cannot be taken out."
She no longer had any hopes for Fu Wan. In fact, it would be better for her to hand this baby over to Bai iyue’s dog. That sentient dog would take better care of this baby than his own mother!
She then turned to look at Xiao Chenye and said to him, "You can go back ho."
"But our young master–"
"You don’t have to worry about him," said Bai iyue. She glanced at the baby, who didn’t even have a shred of clothing. "We are not going to hurt the baby. At most, we will only give him a few warm pieces of clothes." It was one thing that Fu Wan didn’t prepare baby bottles for the young one, but it was simply a shocker for even Bai iyue when she saw that the child didn’t even have a single piece of clothing. What was Fu Wan even trying to do? It was one thing that she didn’t care about the baby’s al, but she could have at least cared for his clothes!
She glanced at the baby, who was obviously born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but was now left in a condition where he was no different from a beggar, and that too because of his mother!
She said to Nurse Lin, "Prepare the bills for the dicines and the resources that Miss Fu has used when she was admitted to the hospital." She then turned to look at Xiao Chenye. "I am not going to be harsh on your young master. Just make sure to get the bill from Xiao Wu. I will arrange for his clothes and baby bottles."
Bai iyue didn’t care about these small expenses; after all, she had way too many clothes and baby bottles in her space. Even when she took in pregnant won under her care, she didn’t care about their expenses. But didn’t Fu Wan feel arrogant because she had so money? That her baby daddy was really rich and powerful. Then why wouldn’t Bai iyue take advantage of it?
She glanced at the man and said to him, "Arrange for them. You have lived here for so long, and I have never asked anything from you or your eldest lady in exchange, but now it’s getting way too much."
Xiao Chenye’s face turned ugly when he heard Bai iyue say that she wanted to settle their bills, and he thought about how Fu Wan would make a fuss if he were to tell her to take the crystal nuclei out such that he could pay Bai iyue. I am not going to raise idlers. The last thing I need is for others to start questioning why you can live without paying and why they have to work so hard every day. If you cannot work, then you can get lost."
