Fu Wan was naturally very upset when she saw Liu Che stopping her. She narrowed her eyes at him and angrily said, "You—do you not understand sothing simple? I told you that I want to talk with Bai iyue. Why do you keep bothering ?"
"Do you have the appointnt or the right to speak to Miss Bai?" Liu Che asked with a raise of his brow. "How can you just barge in here and demand that we let you see, Miss Bai? Who do you think you are?"
"You are asking who I am?" Fu Wan raised her voice, looking even more upset.
"Yes." Liu Che didn’t even bat an eye as he replied. He had endured Fu Wan for a very long ti, and he had finally reached his patience. Even when he told her to step outside, the woman had ignored his command and did whatever she liked. Now he had truly reached his patience. "I am asking you who you are. And even if you are soone with power and calibre, you need to respect the head of the safe base."
Liu Che didn’t care about the big boss who was behind Fu Wan. As far as he was concerned, his loyalty lay with Bai iyue, and that was all that mattered to him.
"You!" Fu Wan was so angry that she trembled. Spinning around on her feet, she turned to look at Xiao Chenye and said to him, "What are you all doing standing there and watching like mutes? Why don’t you do sothing!?"
She was getting bullied in the face of these n, and they were standing quietly on the side without doing anything. Could they not see that these people were treating her in such a manner?
Xiao Chenye was speechless. He didn’t know what to do at the mont. Clearly, he told Fu Wan that she needed to calm down and let him handle this matter. But the woman was simply unreasonable. When he was not paying attention to her, she turned around and ca looking for Bai iyue on her own. Had she forgotten that Bai iyue was this close to throwing her out of the safe base?
"What is it?" Bai iyue climbed down the stairs and looked at the woman who was making a fuss in her ho. Crossing her arms over her bosom, she arched a brow. "What is it? What are you doing here and what’s with the fuss?"
"You are asking ? Who should I ask, then?" Fu Wan threw her hands in the air and turned to look at Bai iyue with a fury written all over her face. "Did you ask the nurses to stop from seeing my son? You do know that it is illegal?"
Bai iyue turned to look at the nurse who ca with Fu Wan and questioned, "What is she trying to say?"
The woman sighed. Turning to look at Fu Wan, who was creating a fuss without knowing the reasons properly, she said to Bai iyue, "She is misunderstanding everything, Miss Bai. We told her that she has developed rashes and cannot touch the baby for the ti being. We also offered her so powder and dications for the rashes, but she claid that we were trying to act like profiteers and make money out of her. She refused to listen to anything that we were telling her, and she ca to look for you."
After she finished speaking, she stepped back and left the matter in the hands of Bai iyue.
Bai iyue, on the other hand, turned to look at the woman. For two seconds, she didn’t say anything and then went, "Are you dumb?"
"What?" Fu Wan questioned. She had a feeling that she had misheard because there was no way Bai iyue could have called her dumb.
"I asked you if you are dumb?" Bai iyue repeated without giving a damn about the shocked expression of the woman in front of her. "You heard the nurse tell you that you have developed rashes, and your first reaction is that I am trying to make a profit out of you? Do you think I need to do that?"
Fu Wan opened her mouth and closed it. She then shook her head as if she was trying to snap out of whatever spell that Bai iyue might have placed on her. She said, "Or else? He is my son. I can touch him whenever I want. Who are you to tell that I cannot enter his ward?"
"Because you can pass your rashes to him. Babies’ skin is sensitive, and they are more vulnerable and can catch diseases more easily." Bai iyue rolled her eyes. "If you have so much free ti, then you can read so books on babies and parenthood. You sound really naive, considering that you are a mother already."
Bai iyue knew that the woman had a bad impression of her and thus, she didn’t even bother to act polite with her. She spun on her feet and then headed out of the mansion. She didn’t even look at the woman who was fuming so badly that smoke was coming out of her skin.
Fu Wan wanted to chase after Bai iyue, but she was interrupted by Liu Che. The young man glared at the woman and said to her in a cold voice, "Don’t even think about it. Miss Bai is being nice by not kicking you out, but rember, you are long overdue. How long have you been staying here for free? Miss Bai might be nice, but I am not. Try that stunt again, and I will drag you out in the most degrading way."
He then turned on his feet and headed out of the mansion right after Bai iyue, with ng Qibao following the two of them.
Fu Wan watched the three people leave and stomped on the spot. She glared at her bodyguards and shouted after Bai iyue, "Brother Wenxuan will not let you all off!" How dare they all look down at her? Did they think that she was soone who could be ignored like this?
