Bai iyue paused when she heard the notification going off in her head. She raised her head and looked at the floating screen that was hovering right above her head and frowned when she saw the barter request. A part of her wanted to refuse but for so reason, a nudging sensation within her body kept telling her that she needed to accept this barter request. Bai iyue knew that her gut feelings were always spot on, with her gut yelling at her that she needed to accept this barter request. Bai iyue didn’t hesitate and accepted the barter request.
As soon as she accepted the barter request, the room changed and Bai iyue arrived at the familiar sky blue room. She looked at the woman who was dressed in a classy, white sundress. Her hair was curled daintily, and there was a matching gemstone ribbon sitting on top of her head, making her look rather cute. When the woman saw her, she raised her head and smiled at Bai iyue.
"Are you Miss Bai?" the woman asked in a sweet voice.
Bai iyue’s delicate brows furrowed when she heard the question of the woman. "I am but how do you know my na?"
The woman seed to have expected Bai iyue to show suspicion upon being addressed. She simply smiled and didn’t look at all offended. She bowed in front of her elegantly and her blonde hair bobbed along as she curtsied. "There is no need to be filled with suspicion, Miss Bai. I am Elina, the princess of the Country F from the dinsion Marigold. I am here because I heard that your dical skills are on par with that of a miracle doctor."
Upon hearing the remark of the woman, Bai iyue frowned. She tilted her head to one side and replied in a low voice, "I don’t know who told you this but there is no such thing. I am not at a level where one could call a miracle doctor."
She did know so dical skills but it would be too much to say that she was a miracle doctor. She was still learning from the dicinal book that she had received as a reward. And what made her even more confused was how she was already famous as a miracle doctor in the circle when she hadn’t even stepped in as one.
"You might not be aware of it, but the antidote that you put on the barter the last ti has beco quite famous after being bartered off," said the woman with her hands placed on her lap elegantly. She continued to look at Bai iyue with her baby blue eyes, which made Bai iyue a bit nervous. There was just sothing about the gaze of the woman that she couldn’t help but shift in her seat uncomfortably.
She cleared her throat and said, "Very well, what about it? Even if I did make an antidote for the poison, it was just a little hunch that I had. What does that have to do with you? And what do you an by calling the miracle doctor?"
"The antidote that you made saved the life of one of the hosts of the barter system..." explained the woman in a low voice. "Because of this, every host of the barter system now calls you miracle doctor."
Bai iyue nodded slowly. Alright, that explained why this woman was calling her miracle doctor but what was she trying to do by requesting a special barter request.
"And you want to—"
"I want you to make a pill that can heal my womb," said the woman. She placed her hands over her lower abdon and sighed. "I got injured while trying to save the life of my nephew and ended up injuring my womb. Ever since then I cannot have children anymore. I have seen many doctors but they are all helpless when it cos to treating the poison that covered the blade of the sword that stabbed . I wanted to ask you if you could try treating my poison, Miss Bai?"
Bai iyue was shocked when she heard the woman say that she wanted her to treat her poison.
"I cannot–"
"Please," Nanny An said with a desperate plea in her voice. "I know that I am asking for too much but I hope that you will try to help . You are a woman too; you should know how much it ans for a woman to carry her own child, right? I just want to have a child of my own. My husband has done so much for ; even when I lost my ability to beco a mother, he never blad for saving the life of my nephew and losing my ability to beco a mother."
Nanny An lowered her head as low as possible and begged Bai iyue. "Please... please help ."
Bai iyue heaved a sigh. She wanted to refuse Nanny An’s request because even if she sohow managed to save soone’s life, there was no guarantee that she would be able to make this woman’s wish co true.
"I understand how you feel," Bai iyue said in a low voice. "But there are so things that even a miracle doctor cannot do. Not that I am one. You just said that it has been a long ti since you were poisoned. Tell , how am I supposed to treat a poison that has embedded itself deep in your veins and bones?"
Bai iyue didn’t want to be the party pooper, but what else was she supposed to say? It was better for Nanny An to give up when she still had the ti.
Nanny An’s face turned pale. She bit her lower lip with a helpless expression as she said to Bai iyue, "Can you at least try? I am not saying that you need to treat , but can you at least check my condition. I promise that if you say that there is no chance for to beco a mother, I will give up."
