"This looks like a really bad infestation." Wan Guo An peered out of the SUV and looked at the zombies with a frown on his face. "It is going to take quite a lot of ti to clear it up."
"You stay in the car, and I will clean it up." Lei Qian unbuckled his seatbelt and spoke to Bai iyue in a low voice, "Don’t co out of the car; I don’t want anything happening to you or our child."
He opened the door and slowly got out of the car, making sure not to make any sound as he stepped down from the car. He took out a cigar from his pocket and lit it up with the end of his tip. Once the end of the cigar lit up, he summoned his fiery sword and sheathed it with the special sheath that Researcher Cong had made.
"Are we going to kill them in one sweep move, or are we taking our ti?" Mo He asked as he looked at the zombies in front of them.
"One sweep." Lei Qian stepped forward and took his sword out of the sheath when he was sure that he was in the required range. He then raised the sword in the air and squinted at the zombies in front of him before saying to the rest, "Go back inside, for things are going to get really heated."
And though he said that, he hurled the sword down, bringing it down in one sweeping move.
"Damn you—" Mo He burst inside the car and rolled up the windows, patting his cloak that had caught fire. "I hate it when he does that." Lei Qian was really sothing.
He had always been a bit on the show-off side, and damn him for acting up all the ti.
"Well, he has the ability to act all smug." Tong Huan stared at the pile of ashes on the road. The bunch of zombies cleared up in a matter of seconds. If they had been the ones doing the cleanup, then certainly they would have taken at least ten minutes. But with Lei Qian making the move, it didn’t take longer than a few seconds to clean up the zombies in front of them.
Mo He pursed his lips. Well, it was indeed the case, but that didn’t an Lei Qian could do just about anything that he wanted. What if he really got scalded just now? He was quite lucky that the flas were not hot, or else!
Bai iyue stared at Lei Qian and his expert way of handling the raging flas. She had to admit that this man really had so innate talent; after all, compared to her, he didn’t take any shortcuts and worked much more diligently. What was more, the energy that he carried was more than hers. Clearly, he had no shortcuts; he didn’t even know how to cultivate or find the core, and yet sohow, he was growing stronger than her.
Though his proficiency and control of the spiritual energy were not as good as hers, and he still needed to practise, he was still much better than many ability users. Even better than her when she first awakened.
Anyway, she was going to help this man with his journey. She didn’t know how Lei Qian reached the position of the Doomsday Emperor, but this ti around, she would be the one standing by his side and aiding him in every way possible.
Bai iyue looked at the zombies that tottered toward Lei Qian from the other street and sighed. Just like this. This man was way too confident in his own actions. Look at this, just because he dealt with the zombies in front of him, he didn’t even bother to look behind him. Sighing, she pushed open the door and stepped out. Once outside, she raised her arms over her head and rolled her head lightly.
"Yueyue, co back!"
When Bai Zhan and Bai Jixuan saw Bai iyue stepping outside, they felt their hearts leap to their throats. What was Bai iyue thinking? Why did she step out of the car for no reason?
They looked at their sister, who was standing outside. Because Bai iyue had been eating really well these past few days, she had started looking a bit healthier than other pregnant won. The two brothers were worried about Bai iyue, who was wearing the long hoodie that covered her from head to toe. What if she tripped because of her heavy weight? Then what would they do? There was no hospital in these tis where they could rush her to!
What if Bai iyue couldn’t bear the weight of her body and fell headlong?
Bai iyue turned to look at her two brothers and smiled at them. She raised her hand and waved at them before turning to look at the zombies. She tilted her head, and with a swoosh, she moved her hand. With just a flick of her hand, four gigantic leopards appeared out of thin air.
Like hellhounds released from the abyss of hell itself, these four leopards attacked the crowd of zombies in front of them with the sa excited expression.
Seeing this, Lei Qian turned to look at Bai iyue. Though he didn’t say anything, his silent look alone was enough to make Bai iyue realise that he was reminding her of the promise that she made when she was asking him to bring her along.
Bai iyue: Uh oh.
When she asked him to bring her along, she promised him that she would follow him obediently and wouldn’t make a move. There would be no running around, killing zombies, and there would be no such thing as her jumping around. She would be very careful and take care of their child.
She raised her hands in the air and confessed, "I didn’t run around."
In response, the man simply narrowed his eyes and glared at her. "Go back inside the car."
"I am fine."
"Yueyue—"
Boom.
