Bai iyue pursed her lips and clenched her fingers around the crystal nuclei. She turned to look at the building where Fox was waving his hands at her and curved her lips into a smile. It seed like she had underestimated the importance of the man. He actually ca to her aid at the right ti and at the right mont.
She decided to go back and build another ice bridge for Fox and his team to help them. At least they would be able to rescue them in ti lest they ended up getting starved to death. Anyway, they had saved her and Lei Qian’s lives when they needed it the most, so she would try to do her best to rescue them in return.
Back in the building, Bai iyue walked over to the tenth floor while maintaining the bridge with her powers. She was worried that the bridge would collapse under the heat that was getting hotter and hotter. The people underneath were all looking at the ice bridge that was lting and hurried to grab buckets from their hiding places. This was all because they wanted to grab so water from the lting ice. At least that way they would be able to collect so drinkable water for a few days!
While they were collecting water from the dripping and lting ice bridge, Xiang i was walking around the floor and handing out oranges to where Bai iyue was staying. When Bai iyue saw the oranges, she pursed her lips and exchanged a few buckets of water for the oranges. She then turned her attention to Lei Qian, who was lying on the couch. She pursed her lips and dealt with the wounds. She first applied the powder to stop the bleeding and then started wiping the extra blood and sewing the wound.
Once she was done, she hurriedly arranged for so special liquids that she poured into Lei Qian’s mouth. Once the man swallowed that liquid, she squeezed out so orange juice and poured it into his mouth. However, as she poured the juice into his mouth, Bai iyue found that the drop of liquid ended up frothing and bubbling before disappearing into thin air. Seeing this, Bai iyue pursed her lips and frowned. She reached out and placed her hand on top of Lei Qian’s forehead.
However, as soon as she placed her hand on his forehead, she realised that his temperature was flaming hot. It was like touching molten glass. She frowned harder and hurriedly untied his shirt before placing her hand on his chest and starting to control his temperature. With her hand placed on Lei Qian’s chest, Bai iyue started to feel her son going round and round inside of her belly as if he was about to throw a tantrum. Realising that the little one was getting antsy, she hurriedly placed Lei Qian’s hand on her own belly. She lowered her head and softly comforted the little one,
"Don’t worry, little one. Dad is just evolving, and he is fine. You need to calm down; only when you are calm can we be of help to your dad. Look at this; he is perfectly fine. He is telling you to be brave. Didn’t your dad ask you to be brave? You need to take care of your mommy. Didn’t he tell you that you need to protect your mommy? Be good and listen to your mommy, okay?"
Then slowly, under her coaxing and Lei Qian’s warmth, Xiao Cai cald down and stopped making a fuss. Seeing this, Bai iyue felt her mouth twitch. This brat – he really knew how to cause trouble for her. He wondered how much this brat liked his father?
Bai iyue sighed, feeling her eyes sting a little. She lay down beside Lei Qian, with his hand still stuck to his belly. After being trapped in this place without him for so long, she finally had a good night’s sleep.
She looked at Lei Qian, who was lying on the bed with his eyes closed, and poked him on the cheek. She muttered, "You silly idiot. Why did you have to put yourself in danger like this? Just what were you thinking? Do you really think it is okay for you to take all the risks on your head and not care about your own health?"
When the man didn’t reply, Bai iyue’s eyes turned hot, and she wished she could cry her eyes out. However, she knew that there was no way she would be able to cry like her world was ending because she was not living just for Lei Qian but also for her son. She could only suck in her emotions and calm down for the sake of her son. She couldn’t do anything about the current situation, so what was the point of even crying?
She closed her eyes and then placed her hand over her eyes, ignoring the subtle ache in her heart.
While Bai iyue was resting, ng Suisui was still working to get more crystal nuclei. Seeing that the little girl was working so hard to get her hands on the crystal nuclei, Shen Zhen also cheered up and started working hard to collect supplies. Anyway, with Bai iyue by their side, they didn’t have to worry about running out of food supplies, but there were other supplies that they needed.
Bai Jixuan and Bai Zhan also started to look for crystal nuclei; after hearing that Lei Qian was going through another evolution, the two of them felt a bit threatened. They were not even on the fifth level yet, while that jerk was going through a second evolution! They could not fall back too much or else they would lose the footing to stand against that jerk!
They needed to stay strong!

Or else how would their sister stand upright in front of that brat? They needed to work harder or else! Their sister would be the one suffering instead.
