The floodwaters continued to rise, their power irresistible. So people were swept away by the massive currents, disappearing into the darkness.
No matter how they struggled, they couldn’t withstand the onslaught of the flood. Fear and despair seeped into every corner, as they hoped this nightmare would soon end.
