Amidst the towering mountains.
Sanshan Village.
After the typhoon’s devastation, debris was everywhere.
Even the village hidden deep within the forest suffered greatly.
Thud!
Ghost Head wielded a spear, slaying the last Zombie before him.
His eyes were filled with anger and hatred, along with endless sorrow.
"Ghost Head." A hoarse voice sounded behind him.
Ghost Head turned around to see the elderly man with a frail body, leaning on a cane. His eyes showed concern, and he rushed forward to assist him.
"Chief, why have you co out? The area hasn’t been fully cleared, and we don’t know if there are any Zombies left." Ghost Head supported the elder and spoke.
The chief’s eyes showed sadness, and he sighed, saying, "Let it be. Don’t have any conflict with Zhang Rufen, Amu is gone, alas..."
"But if it weren’t for him, Amu wouldn’t have been bitten by a Zombie. As her husband, he failed to protect her. He deserves to die!" Ghost Head said, his eyes flaring with anger.
A violent typhoon broke the previously peaceful village.
The typhoon ravaged, taking away many houses and even blowing in so Zombies.
The village’s walls weren’t high to begin with, and although this wasn’t the typhoon’s entry point, it was not far away.
This typhoon drastically reduced their population from a thousand-strong village to fewer than three hundred people.
At this mont, a voice sounded.
"Chief, it seems like most of the Zombies in our village have been cleared out. Next, we should focus on repairing the houses." Liu Cunyi walked over from afar, glanced at Ghost Head, nodded in acknowledgnt, and then spoke to the Chief.

Reflecting on the past.
Liu Cunyi and the Zhou Family were driven out by the Western Alliance. They sought refuge with Zhang Rufen, arriving at Sanshan Village, initially encountering so minor conflicts with the local residents.
They even conspired with the Zhou Family to poison the Chief and help him beco the village leader.
For reasons unknown, Zhang Rufen did not go through with this.
Instead, he convinced the Chief and then took Ghost Head, bringing along Liu Cunyi and others, to seek revenge on the Western Alliance.
Back then, Gan Xiong of the Western Alliance slaughtered Zhang Rufen’s entire family, leaving only Zhang Rufen to escape successfully and co here as a married-in relative.
However, when Zhang Rufen and the others returned to the Western Alliance, they were surprised to find a huge gap blown open in the gates, filled with bones.
They also saw a team inside scavenging the resources and loading them onto trucks.
For Zhang Rufen, this sight was like a great surprise falling from the sky.
Along the way, he was still thinking about revenge, recalling the Western Alliance’s formidable strength. Liu Cunyi had continuously advised him not to act recklessly, as he himself was sowhat worried. But revenge had to be sought.
Who would have thought that, rcifully, soone else had settled the score with the Western Alliance.
If Ghost Head and Liu Cunyi hadn’t stopped him, he would have gone over to thank those people.
According to Liu Cunyi, those people weren’t to be trifled with. Whether they had a conflict with the Western Alliance or were just passing by to rob its resources remained unknown.
But what they did know was that the people in the distance were very strong, incredibly strong.
A hundred or so people, all ard with live ammunition, including armored vehicles, heavy machine guns, and other heavy weaponry. Observing their behavior, it was clear that their combat strength was significant.
Being able to wipe out the Western Alliance’s forces, they were not to be provoked.
In today’s doomsday, being weak is the original sin.
If Zhang Rufen were to foolishly go up and thank them for avenging him, what if those people just shot him dead?
Liu Cunyi, at the ti, was terrified when he saw the scene, pulling Zhang Rufen to hide in a Residential Building to avoid making a sound.
If they were discovered, it would be the end for all of them.
Drones hovered overhead, and they were almost found out. If not for staying far enough away and ergency sheltering inside, they might have been discovered by those people.
After those people left, a long ti had passed before they dared to erge.
Three whole hours later, they stepped out, and Zhang Rufen entered the Western Alliance.
He saw scattered bones left by Zombies. Zhang Rufen didn’t find Gan Xiong’s corpse, but judging by the scene, he probably didn’t survive.
At the ti, Li Yu had dealt with the Western Alliance and brought back so resources. However, given that they were limited in number, they couldn’t bring back all the remaining resources, so Uncle and Dapao took so people over.
What Zhang Rufen and the others saw then was Uncle and others coming to collect resources.
Given the size of the Western Alliance, even after Uncle and co. had emptied it, a few resources remained.
These resources seed useless to Uncle and others at the Big Camphor Tree Base, but they were very valuable to Sanshan Village.
According to Liu Cunyi, the trip wasn’t in vain, as scavenging through others’ discarded garbage was also worthwhile.
The apocalypse had brought significant changes to Liu Cunyi, transforming soone who used to excel in comrce before doomsday into soone who found happiness in picking up discarded trash.
