The group dispersed, heading to their assigned ambush locations according to Li Yu’s arrangents.
In less than 15 minutes, everyone had reached their designated spots.
"The forward blocking position is in place."

"The sniper position at the right-hand petrol station is in place."
"The nursing ho has been cleared; no zombies found. Vehicles are parked and moving towards the forest on the right."
Hearing the successive reports of ready positions, Li Yu took out his walkie-talkie and addressed the others, "The left-hand ambush point is ready, nobody fire your guns later, follow commands.
Tianlong, be careful on your end, don’t show up too early. Make sure all the enemies have entered the trap before you drive the truck over to block them."
Upon hearing Li Yu’s reminder, Yang Tianlong replied, "Understood. Don’t worry, I can judge."
Everything was ready; all that was left was for the enemy to arrive.

The temperature rose day by day, and what had once required heavy clothing now only needed a T-shirt.
To ensure their safety, Li Yu and his team wore bullet-proof vests over their clothes and anti-explosion suits on top of those.
They were all wrapped up tightly, and now it was 1:30 in the afternoon.
The weather was over thirty degrees, hot and airless.
The team hid in the grass, sweat dripping continuously.
The tarred road, baked by the sun’s glare, shimred with a steaming heat haze.
Breathing in, the scent of vegetation mixed with the heat, drying the throat.
Because Li Yu and his team were concealed on a higher position of the hill, with woods behind them, it was sowhat inconvenient. If the enemies appeared, it would take so ti for them to move.
Therefore, they stayed on the hillside, amidst the steep grass.
The sun directly overhead beat down on them.
Amongst the grass, there were inevitably insects and ants, so crawling onto the body, making it exceedingly uncomfortable.
An ant bit Li Yu on the leg; he frowned and lightly wiped the sweat off his forehead. Seeing no enemies on the road, he took out his walkie-talkie and said to his team, "Brothers, the weather is very hot; let’s all endure a little longer, stay still."
Then to Yang Tianlong, who was the closest to the outside, he said, "Tianlong, do you see anyone approaching from your side?"
"No," Yang Tianlong replied hoarsely.
Silence.
Another five minutes passed.
Li Tie, lying next to Li Yu, asked, "Big brother, what if they don’t co?"
