The Ancient Devil’s words tensed everyone within the main village. Everyone could tell that the Ancient Devil they summoned wasn’t kind at all. It was filled with a malicious aura as if they were about to be devoured.
Soon, the rift widened further, and a massive clawed hand erged from it.
Then, everyone witnessed the towering appearance of Astarith. His appearance was like seeing a nightmare. He had a humanoid figure of imnse size, about five ters tall with black skin.
He had red eyes and horns curved from his head.
’So this is an Ancient... That Demon Lord should learn from this creature.’ Vale thought as he watched the creature.
The presence of Astarith sent waves of fear through the villagers outside the hall, but Vale decided to just watch for now.
Then, he saw the Crimson Robed Arcanists struggle to maintain their composure under the weight of his aura.
"Oh?" Vale was quite surprised as he witnessed the several Half-Immortals of this Faction escape the village!
Indeed, the Half-Immortals fled, including the two who were protecting Lady Cyrilla!
’Did they leave these people to die?’ Vale imdiately realized that the people here were most likely ant to be fed to the Ancient Devil, Astarith.
The latter seed to have noticed this as well but this Devil didn’t mind them at all.
’He didn’t notice yet...’ Vale thought as he realized that this Devil’s detection wasn’t that great. Or perhaps, it was simply too weak right now after passing through the rift.
Vale knew that traveling through realms uses a lot of energy. This was the reason why even the Abyss Realm had to wait for a very long ti before they even attempted a widescale invasion.
Anyway, as Astarith stepped into the summoning array, his chains clinked...
Astarith seed to be bound by sothing from where he had co from. This made Vale curious about the Devil’s situation on the other side of the rift.
Vale watched as the Devil raised a hand, and the air around him warped, as if reality itself was bending to his will. Bending space itself wasn’t just any power that Half-Immortals could possess, it was sothing only those Immortals should be capable of.
It ans that even if the Devil was weak right now, it could still use various abilities befitting its status.
"You wish for my power? Prove your worth!"
Lady Cyrilla nodded, signaling the Arcanists to act. They unleashed their psychic abilities, creating complex Mind attacks to demonstrate their strength.
It didn’t end there, waves of telekinetic force, psychic constructs, and ntal projections assailed Astarith, but he rely laughed, brushing their efforts aside with a flick of his wrist.
’He’s making fun of them...’ Vale thought as he knew that Astarith was only doing this for fun. For sure, they didn’t really need to show their strength to the Devil. He should be the one completing sothing for them to help him remove the chains binding him to the other side of the rift.
Anyway, from his vantage point, Vale observed the scene silently as he considered to only act if the Ancient Devil would leave this area and planned to wreak havoc in the realm.
There was no way he would allow that.
Although he decided not to act against mortals since he was following an unwritten law, he wouldn’t mind claiming the life of this unwelco devil.
’What will you do now?’ Vale mused.
Astarith’s power was undeniable as he easily brushed off all the attacks coming at him. It even seed like he was slowly regenerating his strength.
As the ritual continued, Vale could tell that the Ancient Devil’s power had already reached the level of a Half-Immortal... After so ti, it would soon reach the level of Immortal.
He couldn’t help but consider whether to intervene.
He was confident he could defeat Astarith if necessary, but after so thought, he chose to remain a spectator. After all, understanding the limits of his enemies—and their ambitions—was just as valuable as confronting them outright.
He might know more about the other side of the rift if he continued to observe.
Anyway, the Crimson Robed Arcanists poured everything into their display of strength.
Astarith watched them with a smirk, filled with amusent.
On the other hand, the villagers outside were already worried that the one they summoned to fulfill their wishes was actually here to eliminate them instead.
Nonetheless, these strange actions finally stopped after a few minutes of struggle.
Astarith stood at his full height, towering over the practitioners.
"Impressive... you have proven your worth. As a reward for your... entertainnt, I shall grant you a gift."
The rift behind him began to close, sealing off the pathway to the other realms. At the sa ti, the chains binding him had already disappeared.
Vale also stood up as he was no longer relaxed. He was curious about what was about to happen.
Astarith raised his hands, and his body began to pulse with chaotic energy.
’Chaos Arts?’ Vale was curious as he saw a sinister grin spread across the devil’s face.
"This world... shall be my domain, and you shall be my vessels!"
Without warning, Astarith’s form exploded into hundreds of smaller versions of himself. These miniature devils, no larger than a child, had the sa aura as the devil.
They hovered in the air for a mont, then shot toward the Crimson Robed Arcanists and the villagers outside like dark cots!
Each smaller devil slamd into a person, rging with them after a burst of black energy...
Those who were integrated scread as their bodies convulsed!
Then, their veins started darkening and their eyes turned white!
Not too far from them, Vale squinted his eyes as he saw everything. He had been waiting for so ti already, but this was beyond what he anticipated.
"This isn’t a gift..." He muttered under his breath.
"It’s a calculated invasion. He’s using these fragnts to establish a foothold in this realm while recovering his full strength. This should end now..."
As soon as Vale said this, the whole region was soon shrouded with Darkness.
This action alard not only the Ancient Devil but also the Half-Immortals who had been observing this place from afar.
