As soon as Vale said this, his Extraction imdiately started to work.

’Mhmm? Why so poor?’ Vale was a bit disappointed as he saw the notifications from the Extraction System. There wasn’t even a Spell Model or mory Fragnts he could use.
However, these ssages imdiately stopped as he realized that the soul fragnt he extracted was indeed just a small part of the Ancient Devil.
"So I have to extract all those fragnts?" Vale mused as it certainly made sense. Although the one he extracted was the largest soul fragnt, it wasn’t all.
On the other hand, Astarith was furious.
He just felt a part of his soul disappear! It was definitely not a sensation he would enjoy. He wasn’t sure how Vale did that but he knew that it was only possible because he had his soul fragnted to nurous people!
He wasn’t in his best condition right now. After all, he didn’t expect to be attacked on the day he was summoned. He thought that since he didn’t sense any threat, he could easily take over the region with his controlled Arcanists.
"You will regret this!" Astarith said as he finally decided to just fight with all his might!
Soon, he controlled all the Arcanists of the Psychic Arts Faction to fight against Vale even at the cost of their lives!
’He’s desperate...’ Vale thought as he accepted all of the attacks coming at him and neutralized all of them as soon as they got closer. To be exact, he used his Spell Dispersion since, in the end, the Psychic Arts Practitioners were still using Spell Models in order to attack him.
As the battle continued, Vale noticed that the integrated hosts started becoming stronger...
They started burning their life force in order to attack him! Furthermore, he noticed that Astarith was slowly gathering parts of his soul in one hidden area...
’Good... It will be faster if he rges himself again.’ Vale thought as he ignored the trick that he was doing.
Nonetheless, Vale felt that the aura of the controlled Arcanists had grown darker, and they radiated a twisted version of Astarith’s energy.
It seed that their integration was getting closer.
As expected of an Ancient Devil, he wasn’t an easy opponent at all.
Vale hesitated for a mont whether to just kill these manipulated people. After all, he believed that the Will of the Realm wouldn’t bla him since these people were already corrupted.
Also, he knew he couldn’t simply destroy the soul fragnts without harming the hosts, so after so thought, he devised a different strategy.
Channeling his power, Vale created a web of shadow tendrils that spread across the hall... The tendrils were like vines of shadows that latched onto the hosts, then, without any hesitation, Vale activated his Extraction as if sucking out the devil’s fragnts out of their bodies.
The process seed delicate but it was really simple and only required Vale to focus since there were just too many targets at the sa ti.
The first few extractions were successful, though the hosts collapsed from exhaustion...
’They’re still alive... Good.’ Vale thought as he wasn’t really sure whether the hosts would be killed once he extracted the Devil’s soul fragnt.
He was prepared to accept any result.
Nonetheless, after knowing that they were still alive, he felt more confident with his work and started hastening the process.
The fragnts, once extracted, would ultimately weaken the Devil...
Vale smirked as he secretly watched Astarith desperately trying to retrieve his soul fragnts.
He didn’t mind the Devil doing this as he would also be extracted soon...
Sure enough, after it gathered enough soul and power returned to its body, Astarith roared in rage as it could no longer tolerate Vale’s extraction.
The Ancient Devil gathered its remaining Corrupted Divinity and he certainly appeared like a true devil...
"You dare defy , Shadow Immortal?" it roared. "I am eternal! I cannot be destroyed!"
Vale scoffed. "Eternal? Dream on..."
The amount of Divinity in his body would completely drown the limited Corrupted Divinity of the Devil. There was no way he would lose this battle.
Finally, Vale unleashed a finishing blow. It was his very first Celestial Arts, Call of the Divine Lightning!
After all, he knew that this would be very effective against his opponent with only ethereal form.
Boom!
Just like that, lightning descended from the sky and pierced through the Devil’s core. Astarith couldn’t believe the overwhelming power he was facing!
He was too unlucky to have accepted the summoning request of those Arcanists! He didn’t expect that such a monstrous guardian of this realm was closely watching!
Astarith scread as it tried to open a portal to escape but Vale noticed this action. Using his Presence Shift, he arrived near the Devil and extracted what was left of its figure before it dissolved into nothingness. Finally, the last remnants of Astarith’s presence were wiped from the hall.
’Hmm? This Devil ca from the Shadow Realm?’ Vale was shocked as he absorbed the mory fragnts of the Ancient Devil. He didn’t expect this at all.
He thought it had co from the Abyss Realm, Death Realm, or even so sort of demonic realm.
Then, from the mories he had obtained, Astarith had actually been summoned to this place before! However, it wasn’t done by Psychic Arts Practitioners but by those Void Arts Practitioners, the very Practitioners that would most likely return and take over this realm!
Vale absorbed the mories he had just obtained for a few more minutes before he sighed...
Looking at his surroundings, he noticed that only about 20 people had perished because of the battle just now. The others were weakened but since the Half-Immortals of this place were still observing this place, Vale knew that if he left, these people would be saved.
’Well, I should et them for a mont.’ Vale muttered as he locked on the position of the Half-Immortals who had fled this place to interrogate them for a bit.
