Now reading: Chapter 973: Inkwell from Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy, a Fantasy novel by xlntz.

After bidding farewell to Corvin and Silvia, Vale was dropped off at the marketplace where Corvin had also settled for a while...

Because of that, he found quite a few interesting things being sold as well.

As a matter of fact, using his Divine Extraction System, he was able to extract so Shadow Divinity if he wanted to...

However, extracting energy from the items being sold was simply unethical and it might cause a problem...

Still, because there were barely any Immortal Items in the human realm, Vale still purchased a few more wares—small, curious items that held lingering traces of Immortal energy.

Thankfully, with his knowledge of the Ievada language, he had no issues reading the descriptions of so of the items he bought.

One of the items he bought was a Spirit-Reinforcing Dew. As the na implies, it increases his Spiritual Strength and permanently at that. However, if he consud it several tis, it would lose its effect.

The other one was a blackened coin etched with a Shadow Rune... This ti, it increases the strength of his Shadow-Related Spells, which was certainly a great item for a Shadow Immortal like him.

Apparently, there were Runemasters in this place as well, and they were incredibly good.

Then, there was also a sealed pouch of powdered Nightstone. It was used in certain Darkness rituals, and Vale purchased a lot of them since it doesn’t exist in the human realm.

After a quick look around, Vale left the market area and explored more areas in the Luminis Hold.

As he started looking more around the place, the walled city was actually a blend of ancient ambiance and eerie elegance.

Unlike the vibrant human kingdoms he had seen before, Luminis Hold had a distinct energy—both literally and atmospherically.

Every stone in the street seed to contain energy as well... It was as if the whole city was built with Arcane Energy.

Then, Vale also noticed a few dark banners bearing so emblems of several organizations within the city.

Aside from that, he also confird that most of the street vendors sold not only bread and at, but also vials of Condensed Shadow Essence and fragnts of corrupted mana crystals.

Vale then paused beside one particularly old building... The entrance bore a plaque that read: "Museum of Shadow Artifacts — Founded Year 1073 A.I."

He had no idea about the History of this land, so he couldn’t help but feel curious.

Just like that, he entered.

Inside, Vale imdiately noticed the incense that slled like burnt cedar.

It certainly set up the mood.

The museum required him to pay an entrance fee. They didn’t ask for gold or the currency used by the humans; instead, they just asked for a Fragnt of Arcane Crystals.

It wasn’t a Divine Crystal that was filled with Divinity, but Arcane Crystals that were filled with Arcane Energy.

Thankfully, because he had purchased a few things from Corvin, he was able to receive a few Fragnts of Arcane Crystals as well.

After being allowed to enter, he was t by a bizarre yet wondrous sight. He saw rows upon rows of relics, each displayed inside glass-like containers with infused barrier spells.

So floated mid-air, spinning slowly while others were nailed down with enchanted bindings. So of those things might be dangerous.

Vale saw a black dagger that was emitting so sort of white smoke, a tattered scroll that had incomplete mantras, a mirror that reflected your shadow—but not yourself, and many more interesting objects that he’d never seen elsewhere.

Each one pulsed with Shadow Energy, enough that Vale could feel his Immortal Core tremble faintly in response.

"The artifacts here... They’re saturated with Shadow Divinity... It’s like the environnt itself nurtures Shadow and Dark affinity," Vale thought as he watched an orb of violet fire trapped in a glass container...

He lingered for a while, absorbing the feel of it all.

He confird that the museum wasn’t just for tourists—it seed to be a demonstration of power and philosophy as well... He rembered the nas of the Artifacts and the history behind them. He wanted to learn more about this continent after all.

’Interesting... This Shadow Realm is a lot more interesting than I thought... Should I build my own faction here?’ Vale mused.

Well, he had predicted the appearance of Chaos Practitioners and Immortals in the human realm. According to his research, there would be thousands and thousands of them returning to the continent, and the Will of the Realm wouldn’t be stopping that.

On his side, he had fewer than 10 Immortals. If the Chaos Practitioners who had been trapped in various Realms returned and there were more than 10 Immortals on their side, it wouldn’t be good for him.

After all, no matter how strong he was, fighting nurous Immortals would still not be good for him.

"What a pity..." Vale muttered as he recalled the Scroll with a mantra about an Immortal Spell.

Unfortunately, none of the items here are for sale due to their history... At the very least, it would probably require a huge amount of money in order to sway them to sell so of the items.

After leaving, Vale found himself growing increasingly intrigued by one specific topic... Spell Fusion.

Corvin had ntioned rging four Perfect Realm Immortal spells... but the process, the deeper principles behind it—he needed to know more.

Although he had a System to help him with that matter, he knew that he still had to learn about it if he really wanted to advance and if he wanted to have disciples.

After all, his disciples wouldn’t have a system to assist them.

So, after asking a few questions, he walked further into the district known as Twilight Row—an area where Practitioners, Arcanists, and Immortal scholars gathered.

He passed training grounds where Half-Immortals tested Shadow Arts on illusionary beasts and tea houses where Elder Immortals argued about so sort of Spell while sipping on Dark Lotus tea, which was sothing he learned from Corvin.

Finally, he found what he was looking for. It was a worn but towering shop made of old wood...

It had no flashy signage, just a single word carved on its door... "Inkwell."
