The female Immortal then glanced sideways. "Did you co from the Central Region?"
Vale decided not to answer and simply smiled at her...
However, it seed that she thought that he was acknowledging it.
"Well, no wonder you’re interested in these creatures. They’re rare in the Central Region... Seeing that you’re a Shadow Immortal as well, the corruption’s likely more apparent to you..." She muttered.
She was a lot more talkative than Vale thought.
"Is it rare for an Immortal from another region to co here?" Vale asked.
The Female Immortal chuckled and shook her head...
"I’m just curious why an Immortal unaffiliated to any known organization based in Hymn City decided to visit us." She said.
Apparently, she had already known Vale’s presence when he had arrived here with Corvin.
Furthermore, she had asked all the organizations within the city and confird that Vale wasn’t a mber of their organization at all.
Vale remained silent for a mont, still observing the Demon Saints in the distance.
Then, without looking at her, he asked... "You work for Luminis Hold?"
He decided not to satisfy her curiosity.
"I do..." she said with so pride.
"I’m one of the Sovereign Luminaries—a regional commander, you could say. My team manages city defense and divine tech deploynt across seven border zones."
That caught Vale’s attention. Sovereign Luminary was a title he had never heard of. He only heard about the "Keeper" title from Corvin...
Then, her next words stunned Vale for a mont.
"Would you consider joining us?" She asked while stepping closer to the tower’s edge.
"The Luminis Hold is always on the lookout for strong Immortals. And soone with shadow-aligned divinity? That’s always welco. You’d have access to our Formation Libraries, Divine Spell Repositories, and... you’d be contributing directly to the defense of this realm."
Vale blinked once, surprised by the sudden recruitnt offer. They really just t. Not even five minutes had passed.
"That’s rather forward." He replied.
She shrugged... "You’d be surprised how many miss their chance by hesitating."
She said this with confidence... but it was her na that shattered Vale’s calm facade.
"Sabrina Hoffman..." She said while extending a gloved hand toward him.
"Pleasure to et you."
Vale was stunned. He already felt sothing was off after seeing how she resembled Lesley Hoffman. He didn’t expect that it might actually be true.
’Seriously? Hoffman...’
Lesley Hoffman was the twisted genius of the Hoffman Clan. She had created her own Spell Models at a young age. Learned to do Three Spell Fusions during her days in the Academy.
She had practiced both Alchemy and Dark Rituals, then beca a Squad Captain of the Order of the Evanescent Vessels.
’I don’t think this is a coincidence...’ He thought.

Within monts, Half-Immortal Guards leaped into position...
They were all carrying various weapons but most of them were carrying bows, swords, and even staves while standing in tight formation along the city walls...
’Interesting...’ Vale mused since it felt as if they were expecting that the Demonic Creatures would be able to climb through the wall and they would have a close combat.
Still, Vale wasn’t sure how the battle would go, so he stayed quiet for now.
Then, Vale noticed that more and more Immortal Warriors started appearing...
In just a few monts, seventeen Immortal figures appeared...
At this ti, Vale didn’t dare to use Divine Sense on them since it would be extrely rude...
Perhaps, if there was only one of them, he’d be brave enough to it...
Still, as soon as they released so of their energy to announce their presence to the enemies, Vale didn’t even have to use his Divine Sense.
He imdiately noticed that most of them were Elental Immortals...
"That must be their leader." Vale muttered.
One Immortal, wearing robes of golden silk, was just too noticeable...
Soon, Vale noticed that this Immortal raised his palm and summoned a huge lance...
It didn’t last for long as it soon flew away and cleaved through a demonic warbeast in one clean strike!
Boom!
The attack was incredibly powerful and annihilated a few more Demonic Creatures.
However, despite being capable of blocking that attack, the Demon Saints didn’t move and just watched it all.
’Mhmm... This battle is weird.’ Vale mused before he felt a source of Divinity elsewhere...
Suddenly, several enormous silhouettes erged.
They were towering humanoid constructs filled with Divinity... Their chests had solar cores, and their hands carried weapons fit for titans.
’So they’re the Golems of the Luminis Hold.’ Vale thought.
Each one stood nearly thirty ters tall, powered by purified Divinity Cores. He wasn’t sure but it must also be controlled by skilled pilots from the Luminis Hold...
’Seriously... Why are they overreacting? If the Demon Saints weren’t going to move, I think even the Half-Immortals on the wall could guard this city easily.’
He was confused.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t even aware of the Demon’s purpose of attacking this fortified city with a ager force.
In the end, he could simply watch as the Hymn City displayed its power by eliminating the invading Demonic Creatures with overwhelming force.
