The Navy, the most powerful force on the sea, serves as the World Governnt’s violent agency on the sea, and its overall strength is unmatched by any single force.
Besides the Navy Headquarters, there are several Navy Branches on the Grand Line, which are crucial battlegrounds for the Navy on the sea.
The G-1 Branch, located on either side of Mary Geoise with the Navy Headquarters, is the most crucial Navy Branch, also serving as the Navy’s stronghold in the New World. The situation in the New World is becoming more intense by the day.
Under the World Governnt’s command and Sengoku’s leadership, the Navy is currently reallocating its forces from the New World, focusing on the First Half of the Grand Line, leading to the withdrawal of forces from the New World’s Navy Branches, and temporarily abandoning so overly deep branches.
But G-1 is different. As the Navy’s stronghold in the New World, it also serves as the frontline outpost for Mary Geoise, making it one of the branches retained by the Navy in the New World, led by Headquarter Vice Admiral Dalmatian, with nurous Navy Soldiers stationed in this branch.
The building is etched with the large "G1" letters, and you can see the dark muzzles of cannons from both the surrounding watchtowers and wall openings—it’s ard to the teeth.
The New World’s Navy Branches are not safe havens; battles often occur here, and those stationed here are considered elite.
But today, they encountered the greatest crisis since the branch’s establishnt; a sound of air tearing through the sky ca, and an unidentified object was plumting rapidly.

A large pit suddenly appeared on the platform where the Navy usually trained—a humanoid pit appearing out of nowhere.
"What is that?!"
The surrounding soldiers raised their guns and approached the pit slowly.
Thump... Boom!
Muffled sounds ca from the pit, and then, with a loud boom, amid spraying dirt and rocks, a large hand pressed against the ground, and Kaidou’s towering figure appeared before the Navy.
"Long ti no see, Navy."
This unusual entrance is naturally unique to Kaidou. Although he ca riding a dragon this ti, he hadn’t figured out a new entrance pose. Not wanting to disrupt the riding entry’s style, he chose to temporarily set aside that thought.
There are plenty of opportunities; he could wait till he thought it out and try again elsewhere. Now, he opted for a more familiar approach.
Thus, when the eight-headed dragon descended halfway, he jumped off, accelerating his descent with the montum.
Seeing the gun-wielding Navy around him, Kaidou gave them a smile, but this smile made the Navy shudder, their hands trembling slightly on their guns.
They are elite troops stationed in the New World and have a deeper understanding of the pirate world; this level of pirate is simply beyond their ability to contend with.
"In-invasion!! It’s Kaidou, Hundred Beasts Kaidou!!"
They are human too; they feel fear. During the War of the Best, those navy soldiers were elite from around the world, with the lowest rank being an officer, and behind them stood the Three Great Admirals and other top Navy forces, which allowed them to muster courage.
Now, with no one behind them, mustering the courage to pull the trigger is their greatest effort.
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Ooh~! Ooh~!
Gunfire sounded continuously, and the alarm at the G-1 Branch went off simultaneously. In the piercing alarm, Kaidou irritably scratched his ear.
"So noisy, can’t you hear greeting you!"
The bullets had no effect on him, only making him feel annoyed, as his appearance had been quite "polite."
Drawing his Wolf Fang Club from his waist, Kaidou held the club single-handedly and casually swung it in the direction of the gate. Although a blunt weapon, it sliced through like a sharp blade, sending a massive shockwave toward the gate.
Boom!
The G-1 Branch’s gate shattered; bricks and stones on the ground were lifted, and the surrounding Navy were sent flying, their fates unknown.
Kaidou didn’t do anything further, because an unexpected figure appeared behind him.
A tall, broad-chested, muscular old man was standing behind Kaidou. He had a scar over his left eye, short gray-white hair, and the Navy’s Cloak of Justice fluttered in the wind behind him.
The Navy Hero, Monkey D. Garp.
"Hohoho, what luck today, didn’t expect to et an old acquaintance here."
Seeing Garp made Kaidou feel like he had hit the jackpot, choosing the G-1 Branch wasn’t without reason. A too-weak place was uninteresting, and a too-strong place was fine, as he could leave even if injured, but the eight-headed dragon couldn’t.
Therefore, the G-1 Branch beca his chosen testing ground; Garp’s appearance was a boon for him.
This isn’t where Garp is stationed; he was here taking it easy. In the Navy Headquarters, he was often nagged, unexpectedly running into such a big problem here.
"Kaidou, this is a Navy Base."
Garp’s voice was very calm, but his clenched fist indicated he was ready for battle.
"You don’t need to remind of that, old man. I ca for exactly this, though today’s star isn’t ."
Roar!
From the sky, the roar of the eight-headed dragon followed. Even it was bewildered by its master’s prior maneuver, delaying its charge slightly, wondering if its master’s brain had issues.
Pokemon have their own moral views, but these are usually secondary to their master’s will. In most cases, they follow their acknowledged master regardless.
So not only do official personnel like Jenny and Joy have their Pokemon, even organizations like Team Rocket and Pokemon poaching gangs have their trustworthy partners.
The inherently combative nature combined with Kaidou’s chosen target ant the eight-headed dragon’s attack was already prid.
Seeing the dragon in the sky, Garp felt a bad premonition, but before he could act, Kaidou was already before him.
"Let’s spar, old-tir! Let see if your fist is just like back then!"

Within the base, Dalmatian’s heart lifted again. He was just about to seek support when he saw Garp’s figure from the observation room, the title of Navy Hero serving as a spiritual pillar for many Navy mbers, which reassured him greatly.
But the roar from the sky brought a second piece of bad news. No Navy Base pays much attention to anti-air capabilities; their artillery range is limited, and against this kind of monster that cos down from overhead, ordinary Navy lack effective counterasures...
