Wang Yun wasn’t surprised that the bomb he had planted was discovered. The intelligence and capabilities of the program inspection team were not to be underestimated. However, they had only cleared the first hurdle; more challenges awaited them deeper in.

Currently, Wang Yun and his group were navigating through the mountains. Glasses and Fist had found a spot suitable for temporary shelter, albeit with significantly poorer conditions.

Wang Yun had also left one of his n behind to keep a close watch near the villa.

By now, the program inspection team had successfully reached the villa’s entrance. They lingered at the door, conducting various checks before confidently entering. But upon finding the villa deserted, disappointnt was written all over their faces.

“Wang Yun has gotten wind of our moves and ran away. He’s no longer in the villa,” Wang Yue said.

“They couldn’t have gone far. They must still be nearby,” Wu Yaoming analyzed, echoing Wang Yue’s thoughts.

They had barely stepped beyond the gate before preparing to pursue further.

As they stepped out the front gate, suddenly, a drone whizzed above them. Wang Yue reacted instantly, shocked yet decisive.

“Shoot it down!” she commanded sharply.

In a flash, the inspectors drew their weapons, firing relentlessly at the drone. Within seconds, amidst a barrage of gunfire, the drone plumted to the ground.

“Be careful, it might be rigged!” Wang Yue cautioned as her team moved to inspect the wreckage.

Taking no chances, the program inspectors donned gloves and picked up a shield to protect themselves as they approached the fallen drone. This cautious approach certainly paid respect to the dangers Wang Yun could have prepared.

“Captain, there’s nothing here, just an ordinary cara,” one inspector reported back to Wang Yue.

Wang Yue’s brow furrowed in suspicion. “Wang Yun’s people must be nearby. Let’s move quickly to search– Hold your breath!”

Before she could finish, as the inspector holding the drone approached the group, the drone suddenly sprayed a cloud of powder.

This left everyone completely unprepared. Wang Yue was positioned at the back, far from the dispersing powder. The pink powder sprayed out too rapidly, directly hitting the faces of the three people in front.

“You’re eliminated.”

“You’re eliminated.”

“You’re eliminated.”

These announcents echoed in the ears of the three program inspectors.

“What!” Wang Yue exclaid, too shocked to move forward.

The three individuals doused in powder were visibly stunned.

“This powder, crafted by Wang Yun, is highly toxic. Inhalation leads to the failure of bodily organs,” the production team explained with unsettling calmness. “Even minimal contact can cause total paralysis. The extent of exposure for you three is more than enough to be fatal.”

It turned out that before Wang Yun had left, he had prepared the drone in the basent. He had loaded it with the toxic powder, which had been previously confird by the production team, into the drone’s motor.

When the drone was destroyed, the electronics would also detonate. The slightest touch to the powder inside would trigger Wang Yun’s modified spring device, forcefully ejecting the lethal dust.

“Damn it!” Wang Yue cursed, her frustration boiling over as she slamd her fist into the wall behind her. “Wang Yun set a trap here,”

Throughout their journey, they had been extrely cautious. Even inside the villa, they avoided touching anything, fearful of triggering traps. But who could have predicted that a seemingly innocuous drone was loaded with deadly poison, set to disperse only upon its destruction?

“Now is not the ti to get angry, Captain Wang Yue,” Wu Mingyu interjected sharply, his voice thick with restraint. “We need to capture Wang Yun imdiately. He must be nearby. The drone’s control range is within three kiloters.”

Suppressing the frustration swelling in her chest, Wang Yue took a deep breath, her gaze heavy with guilt as she looked at her three fallen comrades.

She waved to her team, her voice fierce with resolve, “Capture Wang Yun and avenge our brothers!”

Fuelled by their collective rage, the team dashed toward the surrounding mountains.

***

Wang Yun had retreated to a secluded cave, where everyone hastily laid out a few blankets for rest. They avoided bringing conspicuous items like tents, opting instead for simple supplies like canned food and biscuits.

Sitting to one side, Wang Yun held a walkie-talkie, his expression grave.

“Have you spotted them?” he asked.

“Brother Yun, I’ve seen them. They’ll find soon,” the assassin responded chanically.

At that mont, Wang Yun’s gaze was filled with bloodlust. With his villa compromised and his n captured, he was determined to make the program inspection team pay. A price paid in blood.

The man speaking to Wang Yun was the sa one who had operated the drone, assigned to keep watch over Wang Yue. Wang Yun had hypnotized him earlier to carry out this cruel mission.

***

The assassin buried the walkie-talkie in the soil. He was a ‘human bomb’. He was Wang Yun’s ace up his sleeve against his pursuers.

“Look towards the south again, and you guys check the north.”

“Have you picked up anything?”

“I just found footprints in the south, they should be close by.”

At that mont, the voices of the program inspectors clearly resonated around.

The assassin hiding behind a tree had bloodshot eyes and radiated a fierce aura, looking as if he was prepared to die heroically. However, his movents were slightly stiff.

This left the livestream viewers astounded. The sense of imrsion was incredibly strong. Although it was all an act, he wasn’t actually going to sacrifice himself, the viewers were captivated by his performance.

He managed to draw everyone into the scene instantly.

“I can’t take it anymore, this actor is too good, I have to beco a fan!”

“It would be a cri for this guy not to be famous. Look at his eyes, his body, even his fingers are trembling!”

“It’s all about the details. If I weren’t watching this in the livestream, I’d actually believe this was happening right in front of !”

“This move by Big Brother is literally a life-for-life exchange!”

“Ruthless Bandit! That’s what you call a true Ruthless Bandit!”

“Big bro is aweso! So vicious and brutal, it gets my blood boiling!”

“The hypnosis is so deep, he’s completely imrsed himself in the character!”

“Amazing! Big Brother’s hypnosis skills are absolutely masterful!”

“Even though he’s hypnotized, so of his subconscious reactions are just wow!”
