After Warfarin used every ounce of her strength until her tiny jaw finally dislocated, Steven's arm remained perfectly intact.
Besides a strawberry-like red mark left by her vigorous sucking, his skin hadn't even broken.
"Now do you believe ?" Steven shrugged as he watched her clutching her jaw, shooting him a pitiful glare.
"I… dwon't beweive it! Jusht you wait! I'll definitewy find a way to dwain your blood! This ti doesn't count!"
Warfarin stubbornly refused to accept defeat, though her speech was now unclear due to her injured jaw.
Are you kidding? Such a big piece of fat at is placed in front of her but she can't eat it. How can she accept it?
"Fine, fine, you're welco anyti, okay? But please, just no more late-night ambushes. If soone sees you walking out like this, holding your mouth, how am I supposed to explain it?"
Steven helplessly looked at her.
If she wanted to continue trying, that was fine, but misunderstandings would be troubleso.
"What's there to explain? I'll just say you were rough with ," Warfarin replied honestly, rubbing her aching jaw.
"Oh, then I should really thank you properly, shouldn't I? I ssed with you all night until your mouth got sore—is that what you'd tell others?" Steven gave her a sarcastic glance.
Although her statent was technically correct, was it really appropriate to say so casually?
"Exactly! Who told your thing to be so hard and big anyway?"
"You... Do you even realize what you're saying?"
Steven covered his face in embarrassnt.
He was absolutely certain Warfarin knew exactly what she was saying.
Her mischievous grin confird that this was all intentional.
"Hehe. If you don't want others to find out, you'd better behave yourself. I'll co back next ti and deal with you properly!"
After leaving behind a threat that couldn't really be considered threatening at all, Warfarin finally slipped out of Steven's room, sneaking away like a thief.
Steven just shook his head helplessly and laid back down on his bed, which is still infused with that strawberry-like sweetness mixed with a faint tallic hint of blood that Warfarin had left behind, and quickly falling into a deep sleep.
Whatever, sleep first and worry later!
For once, Steven woke up on ti at precisely six in the morning without any further interruptions.
After washing up briefly, he headed straight to Kal'tsit's office.
Rhodes Island was currently still in Ursus territory, quite far from his next destination, Kazimierz.
He figured now was an ideal opportunity to visit Iberia.
Therefore, notifying Kal'tsit was essential.
If he suddenly disappeared without a word, she might jump to all sorts of weird conclusions.
Fortunately, Kal'tsit's movents around Rhodes Island were predictable—most of the ti, she preferred staying in her office.
As expected, Steven found her right there.
The door wasn't closed, allowing Steven to easily spot Kal'tsit, who was currently resting her head on the desk.
It seed she'd worked late into the night and had eventually fallen asleep right at her workspace.
"You are a pretty dedicated grandma, aren't you?"
Seeing Kal'tsit asleep at her desk, Steven suddenly felt the urge to play a little prank on her.
He was genuinely curious: Would teasing soone who typically wore such a stern expression be even more satisfying?
With a mischievous smirk, Steven quietly crouched down. Instantly, his presence seed to vanish from the room, as if he'd activated so kind of stealth technique.
Moving silently toward Kal'tsit's sleeping figure, Steven quickly arrived at her side.
But before he could do anything to the peacefully breathing green-haired feline, Mon3tr suddenly erged behind her, cautiously scanning the surroundings with vigilant eyes.
Ah, so Kal'tsit wasn't entirely defenseless after all.
Steven thoughtfully stroked his chin, observing Mon3tr's impressive crystalline body.
Honestly, it was a sha that such a loyal and cool summon had chosen to stick with soone as old-fashioned as Kal'tsit.
Shaking his head in mild regret, Steven stood up, offering Mon3tr a friendly smile and placing a finger against his lips, signaling for quiet.
Actually, he needn't have bothered; upon seeing Steven, Mon3tr imdiately tensed up, quickly shrinking into a cautious ball and retreating into the corner of the office.
"Co on, you don't have to be that afraid. It's not like I'm going to eat you," Steven muttered softly to himself.
He didn't pursue Mon3tr further—there would always be another chance to tease it. But opportunities to prank Kal'tsit were truly rare.
Continuing on tiptoe, Steven approached Kal'tsit again, closely observing her delicate, sleeping face.
Honestly speaking, when she wasn't wearing a cold expression or speaking in riddles, Kal'tsit was undoubtedly an attractive and adorable young woman.
With her looks, she'd easily qualify as a celebrity in his forr world. Unfortunately, whenever she was awake, she radiated none of that youthful charm. Instead, she resembled an old hag who had undergone countless plastic surgery to make her looks like a young woman.
If she could stay like this—quiet, relaxed, neither speaking riddles nor giving people judgntal stares, that would be great.
Steven leaned closer, gently poking Kal'tsit's cheek.
To his mild surprise, her skin was incredibly soft and smooth, without the artificial powdery texture of makeup—just authentic, youthful skin.
Perhaps due to her absolute trust in Mon3tr's protection, Kal'tsit didn't wake from Steven's touch.
She rely scrunched her face slightly like a kitten, adjusting herself into a more comfortable sleeping position.
Having never seen her behave this way, Steven was thoroughly entertained.
If only he had a smartphone handy, he'd definitely record this mont.
After briefly considering his options, Steven reached into his pocket (Inventory), quietly retrieving an ordinary salmon, and waved it gently beneath Kal'tsit's delicate nose.
In an instant, Kal'tsit's previously drooping ears shot upright, her eyes snapped open, revealing vertical cat-like pupils.
However, rather than clarity, her gaze appeared entirely animalistic, devoid of normal human awareness.
Kal'tsit's entire body arched instinctively, eyes wide and pupils contracted vertically like a green-eyed feline. Her gaze lacked human awareness entirely, consud instead by an animalistic desire.
"Heh, so even soone as calculating as you has a hidden side like this," Steven chuckled, amused by the sight before him.
He'd seen sothing exactly like this once before, when Yelena had lost herself over a carrot.
Who could've guessed Kal'tsit—soone usually so composed and shrewd—had a similar weakness?
Kal'tsit had no idea what Steven was talking about. Right now, her mind was absent; only the alluring scent of the fish in Steven's hand occupied her thoughts.
Entirely driven by instinct, she cautiously moved closer, her gaze locked onto the fish. Steven, thoroughly entertained, continued dangling the fish just out of her reach, thoroughly enjoying the rare sight of Kal'tsit behaving this way.
Maybe this was exactly why people said teasing cats was such pure joy.
Seeing Kal'tsit, soone who is always composed and seemingly in control, desperately acting like a real cat, brought Steven imnse satisfaction. He felt he could do this for hours without growing bored.
Unfortunately for him, Kal'tsit didn't grant him that luxury.
The rapid, involuntary movents gradually stirred her sleeping consciousness back to reality. Her human awareness returned slowly, but the instinctive movent of her body did not stop, making her feel at a loss for a while.
What's going on?
Why is my body moving on its own?
Where's Mon3tr?
Shouldn't it be protecting right now?
And this grinning bastard in front of is clearly Steven, right?—and what's with the fish in his hand?
Kal'tsit mind was full of doubts, but this did not prevent her from quickly judging the current situation.
Without a doubt, this had to be Steven's doing, using yet another bizarre item to manipulate her.
Steven couldn't help but admire her strength of will.
Yelena had lost herself entirely to carrots, yet Kal'tsit sohow managed enough awareness to direct her anger at him.
Her fierce expression only made Steven smile grow.
Satisfied with his successful prank, he playfully stored away the salmon before quickly stepping back, putting a safe distance between them. He shrugged innocently.
"Hey now, how is this my fault? I only ca here to let you know that I'm heading off to Iberia. I'll be back soon, so no need to prepare dinner for ."
With a victorious grin, Steven waved cheerfully at Kal'tsit, who remained frozen, still processing what had just happened.
Before she could respond, he swiftly exited and entered a command in the chat box.
