Of course, when Steven said "paynt in flesh," he didn't an having Nian warm his bed.
Steven was open about his interests, sure—but he wasn't so lust-driven that his brain and his crotch had swapped places. What he was genuinely curious about wasn't Nian as a woman, but her body in the more literal, biological sense.
More precisely, he wanted to understand the physical composition of soone who has the title 'Fragnt of God'.
Especially after acquiring that Pokéball mod, he had beco even more fascinated with strange and rare beings. He wanted to "catch" everything just to fill out his personal encyclopedia.
Pokéballs? He had as many as he wanted. A completed dex, though? You could never have too many entries.
"…The way you phrase things is extrely misleading, you know."
After confirming from Steven's eyes that he wasn't thinking anything indecent, Nian shot him a glare.
Given his tone, she more or less understood what his so-called 'flesh paynt' really ant.
But precisely because she understood, she suddenly thought of sothing that would make for a very appealing reward.
"If you're really that curious about gods, then I know exactly what to give you."
"Let's hear it."
Steven perked up imdiately.
Anything Nian was this confident about had to be good.
"For example… the true nature of this world's gods. The reason they've all hidden themselves away. And the story of and my eleven hopeless brothers and sisters."
She listed them one by one.
And with each new topic, Steven's eyes grew a little brighter.
He had to admit—none of those things would give him any practical advantage.
But entertainnt-wise? Absolutely top-tier.
Who didn't love juicy gossip? Especially when it ca with drama between divine siblings—and when he himself might get involved in the ss?
There was no reason to refuse.
"Alright. Just for those stories alone, I'll take your request. We have a deal—so don't go back on your word."
Steven smiled and held out his hand as if sealing a contract.
Nian grasped it lightly, smiling back without hesitation.
"Then it's settled. I don't know much about my siblings' current whereabouts. The only one I have a hint about is a useless little sister of mine. She's probably hiding sowhere near Mount Hui-ch'i, outside Kou-wu in Yan."
She paused, then added with confidence:
"But if it's you, I'm sure you'll be able to find sothing."
She knew very well that Yan's territory was enormous. Even if Steven was a bizarre and extraordinary figure, asking him to find her siblings with no clues at all would have been too unreasonable.
So giving him at least a rough search area was necessary.
"You already know where she probably is," Steven said, raising a brow. "So why not go find her yourself? You just said you're not asking to pick a fight. There's no need to send an outsider like as your ssenger, right?"
He morized the location—but the more he thought about it, the stranger it felt.
If Nian already had an approximate place, why ask him? Why go through all the trouble of making a request?
"Well… the relationship between and my siblings is… not as harmonious as you might imagine," Nian said with an awkward smile. "That sister of mine probably doesn't want to see at all. This dips into so of our… little secrets as Fragnts of God. I'll explain after you finish the task."
She covered half her face with her fan, hiding an expression she clearly didn't want him to see.
"But before that—take this. If you et any of my siblings, this should co in handy."
She traced a hand dramatically across her chest, and when Steven looked again, a strange circular tal dallion had appeared in her palm as if by magic. She handed it to him.
Steven's very first thought was not about the dallion… but about where she pulled it from.
Did she, like him, have so kind of legendary inventory space?
But since Nian wasn't offering an explanation, he didn't bother asking. Instead, he examined the dallion.
[Ancient Forge Token]: An oddly shaped tal artifact engraved with "Heaven births the furnace, Earth births the tals." It seems linked to the consciousness of a certain god. Can be used for teleportation.
Ding!
[You made contact with one of this world fragnts of power. Spend World Acknowledgent Points to decode? Decoding will unlock a new teleportation mod.]
The mont Steven touched the token, a familiar notification chid—for the first ti in a long while.
Unfortunately… the unlocked mod didn't sound very exciting.
Teleportation again?
He already had several teleport mods.
One more didn't feel particularly special.
But what was interesting was the text before that.
[This world fragnts of power]
So these beings—the so-called gods—really did hold pieces of this world's fundantal rules.
And his Minecraft system… could not only read them, but decode them into mods?
That was genuinely surprising.
Still… a new path to obtaining mods was very appealing.
Wasn't the whole point of this world to play with new things?
Steven toyed with the dal between his fingers, a slow smile curling at the corner of his lips.
If one token from Nian unlocked a whole new teleport mod, then what interesting things might her other siblings give him?
Now Steven truly had no reason not to go track down these so-called Fragnts of God.
