Arknightcraft Modpack
When it ca to servant-type mods, most of them were honestly pretty similar. Either they let players command creatures that already existed in vanilla Minecraft, or they were various autonomous summoning-type mods with so interesting twists.
But if you were talking about the most famous mods in this category, there were unquestionably two standouts: Touhou Little Maid and ShinColle.
Among these, the maids were incredibly well-designed in almost every aspect. Not only could they equip a wide range of modded weapons and armor, but they could also grow stronger and level up simply by consuming cheap, readily available items.
As for the latter… that hardly needed explanation. A mod that magically compresses an entire modern warship into the body of a girl—its combat potential was self-evident. This wasn't just Terminator-tier anymore; every single shipgirl was a living strategic weapon.
Naturally, that power ca at a cost. Aside from combat, shipgirls had very few additional functions. Farming, gathering, patrolling, learning—those simply weren't things you could expect from that mod alone.
On the other hand, when it ca to upper limits, Touhou Little Maid were arguably even more terrifying. After all, they could wield things like enchanted katanas while simultaneously wearing outrageously broken equipnt such as Red Matter armor.
After weighing the pros and cons for quite so ti, Steven ultimately chose Touhou Little Maid, a mod with far greater long-term potential and a much cheaper, more convenient production cost.
And besides, having a bunch of adorable maids surrounding you and calling you "Master" wasn't bad at all, right?
As for the shipgirl mod, Steven hadn't completely given up on it either. He simply decided to leave it for later. Once his points were more plentiful, he could always enable it as a bonus—no need to build too many, just a few dozen to roughly match the numbers of the Emperor's Blade. That alone would give him, in a sense, the capital to stand up to Ursus.
Having made his decision, Steven decisively stood up from the hot spring. After casually drying himself off, he pulled out a pickaxe from his inventory and began the classic project of basent expansion.
No matter which path he took, the first priority was to carve out space for troop production facilities. Expanding underground was practically instinctual for any blocky lifeform.
If space wasn't enough, dig downward. That rule never failed.
Fortunately, unlike Minecraft, the underground beneath this land wasn't riddled with complex cave systems. At least in the snowy plains of Ursus, there was nothing but solid rock beneath the surface, which made Steven's excavation work far more convenient.
In just a few minutes, Steven had hollowed out a massive 100×100 square chamber beneath his hot spring. With a Efficiency 5 pickaxe, his movent underground was, in so ways, no slower than traveling aboveground.
After lighting up the football-field-sized space with jack-o'-lanterns, Steven quietly checked the Touhou Little Maid mod in the mod list. Then, right at the center of the chamber, he began constructing the most important structure of all—the altar.
As for the 500,000 World Acknowledgent Points it consud? To Steven, that was hardly worth ntioning. Those points were useless just sitting there anyway. Spending them early to create a little fun for himself—wasn't that much more satisfying?
Soon enough, with the full tutorial of the mod at hand, Steven finished constructing the altar required to summon maids. As the final piece of red wool was placed, the once rather crude red torii gate and eight stone pillars instantly transford into a massive torii filled with a striking sense of realism, along with a bizarre altar steeped in mystery.
It was hard to describe—like suddenly installing the most overpowered shader pack in Minecraft. What had been blocky, pixelated structures a mont ago abruptly shifted into a realistic style. This was the very first step of the mod.
Seeing this strange transformation, Steven finally confird that he hadn't built anything wrong. This was simply how the mod worked—and honestly, it was kind of interesting.
With the altar complete, Steven moved on to a nearby crafting table and casually made another essential item required by the mod: a gohei.
However, when he picked up the object—which was essentially just a wooden stick with white paper strears attached—Steven suddenly realized a rather critical issue.
—He didn't seem to have the P Points required to summon a maid in this mod…
Ding!
[Insufficient P Points detected. P Points can be exchanged using World Acknowledgent Points or EMC. Exchange rates: 10,000:1 and 100,000:1 respectively.]
Perhaps to prevent future mods from introducing too many ssy and overlapping resource systems—points, energy, mana, and the like—the system had unified everything under a compatible exchange frawork. All it required were Steven's World Acknowledgent Points or EMC.
For Steven, this was actually a blessing. At the very least, it ant he didn't have to rack his brain researching all kinds of troubleso systems like electricity or magic. Those kinds of things were genuinely a headache to dive into.
Now that there was a universal currency, it was a rare bit of good news in every sense.
"In that case… the cost of mass-producing troops would be about fifty thousand EMC per maid, plus a bit of diamond, lapis, and similar materials. All together, maybe sixty to seventy thousand EMC per unit?"
Steven did so quick ntal math. "That's totally acceptable."
With costs like that, assembling a personal guard loyal exclusively to him was well within reach. As for properly equipping these maids—that could be dealt with later.
With that thought, Steven decisively placed the required summoning materials onto the altar.
In the next instant, a bolt of lightning tore through the silent snowy plains, piercing straight through the earth and stone overhead and striking the altar before Steven with a deafening crash, kicking up a massive cloud of smoke.
As the smoke slowly dispersed, a small, chibi-styled girl—only about waist-high compared to Steven—stepped out from the altar, toddling forward on her short little legs. When she spotted Steven, she tilted her head adorably, a puzzled expression spreading across her cute, blocky face.
If she could speak, Steven was pretty sure he knew exactly what she'd say at that mont.
—Are you my master?
