When the note was handed out, the outside window suddenly beca quiet.
A few won held the note, looking at each other, "We want to exchange for food and water."
The Little Box said gently, "Today this isn’t a regular exchange window, we can’t directly convert your items into supplies. This note has my signature on it; you can take it to car 27 and find the crew for a regular exchange of supplies."
"Can a little girl like you keep your word?"
An upturned-eyed woman smiled, her eyes full of skepticism.
Imdiately, another woman chid in, "No way, who knows if what you’re saying is true? These are new clothes we risked our lives to get from the city, many people died, and you’re taking them away with just a note?"
"Exactly, once your vehicle starts up and leaves, what are we supposed to do?"
"Yeah, last ti they ca, we could exchange, why can’t we this ti?! Also, my clothes aren’t torn or damaged, why won’t you accept them, are you deliberately making things difficult for us?"
"Clearly, there’s ill-intent!"
The won’s voices beca increasingly sharp, and the Little Box began to regret.
She shouldn’t have ddled.
"Don’t understand the rules, huh?"
Two flas suddenly appeared by the car window, Lin Jin’s icy face appeared behind the Little Box.
Feeling the warmth on her waist, the Little Box’s panicked emotions suddenly cald down.
Soldiers on guard from afar kept watching the situation here, upon hearing the commotion, they imdiately dispatched a squad, striding over with guns held.
A patrol vehicle also approached.
The officer controlling the machine gun on the car roof saluted Lin Jin with a shoulder hamr, "Captain Lin!"
Then turned his sullen gaze toward the group of won outside the car, "Are these scavengers causing trouble?"
The originally chattering won suddenly beca as docile as quails under the gun barrel.
They didn’t even have the courage to argue.
Instead, they looked pleadingly at Lin Jin inside the carriage.
Finding him unmoved, they then looked at the Little Box.
The Little Box silently hid her head in Lin Jin’s embrace, avoiding looking at them.
After a series of events, Lin Jin was no longer the bewildered young man who had just been rescued from the zombie horde by the train conductor. He coldly stated, "I’ll give you two choices: either take the note to car 27 to exchange, or leave imdiately. If you linger in place after thirty seconds, you’ll be cleared as intruders."
Upon hearing these words, two officers sneered and shouted, "Prepare to shoot!"
The sound of soldiers pulling gun bolts made the won’s legs weak, they couldn’t care about anything else as they stumbled and fled outside.
Only then did Lin Jin relax his expression and nodded to the soldiers, pulling up the car window.
His little girlfriend had finally finished checking the clothes, he wouldn’t retreat.
A noble Ard Corps Captain, did you think he was made of clay?
With his rank, if he wanted to lead his own team, he could deploy four officer squads and his squad, making a total of twenty-five well-trained, fully-ard Evolver soldiers. Not only them, but even the convoy behind them could be directly wiped out.
In a small place like Xinma County, he was the top-notch military warlord in control!
Wen Biao could et the conductor because the conductor had sothing to ask him.
It doesn’t an Wen Biao is only slightly worse than the conductor.
Wen Biao, the convoy leader, actually holds power and resources barely on par with a Corps Second Lieutenant.
On the train, you can call Captain Lin, outside, calling dad won’t even matter to you.
"It’s okay, it’s okay..."
Seeing the people leave, Lin Jin hurriedly comforted his little girlfriend.
The Little Box raised her head, feeling aggrieved, her eyes moist, her pitiful appearance shattered Lin Jin’s heart.
He wished he could drag those people back and execute them.
Even losing the path of evolution wasn’t this aggrieving, yet after stopping in Xinma County for a few days, this bunch of bastards made her cry twice.
If Little Box hadn’t been infuriated, the tailor shop here would be one of the open exchange windows as well.
