"I don't know if we are doing the right thing…" Commander Hitane of the Seven Clovers Alliance muttered in a low voice as he looked down at the army of void creatures below him.
The archers and the mages shot down the nimble void creatures. They did not die from a single hit, at least three to five hits were needed to kill one of them. The archers and the mages from the Hurakan Legion had perfect cooperation, but the army of million void creatures was still too much for them.
The first void creature reached the top of the wall, but the soldiers from the Hurakan Legion struck them down. The battle just started as more and more void creatures managed to reach the wall. Of course, the soldiers were ready and struck them back down.
anwhile, the giant void creature banged the gate, trying to breach the wall but it was futile as the gate did not even budge. It did not stop them from assaulting the gate, they kept hamring the gate as the smaller void creatures ran over their friends to reach the top of the wall.
The banging sound resounded to the whole frontier and the gripping atmosphere slowly spread out between the soldiers and the rcenary behind the gate. The Hurakan Legion was still maintaining their advantage and their defense was intact, and yet the people inside the frontier were getting nervous.
Even soone as strong as Commander Hitane was getting nervous as the hideous creatures climbed out the wall. He started regretting agreeing with the stupid plan as he felt like staying on the wall was much safer.
"Your na will be rembered, and you will beco an unforgettable legend who slays one of the strongest n in the universe, also an emperor of the Void Cult." Commander Aravin of The Hyperion Stars made fun of Commander Hitane who looked visibly nervous.
"Or I will be rembered as a stupid commander from the Seven Clovers." Hitane rolled his eyes at his friend, but he maintained a solemn look. He could not look weak in front of his people as it would lower the morale of his people. No one would listen to a scared commander.
The battle continued and the void creature's bodies piled up below the wall. The pile of dead bodies helped the void creature to climb the wall. Half an hour into the battle, the pile had reached forty ters, halfway of the wall. However, the number of the void creatures looked the sa.
"I think it's the ti!" Commander Aravin received the signal from Chief Administrator Atilla and Commander Rudra of the Ancient Kingdom. He used his Bloodline Transformation, red scales grew up, rging the armor he wore with his body. Three horns grew on his head as a pair of dragon wings opened out on his back.
Commander Hitane also used his transformation skill, transforming into a half-wolf creature. He stood with his feet, covered with gray fur. His eyes turned blue, and he grew up five tails. His claws released cold air constantly, and he had a crescent moon symbol on his forehead.
"I will clear the path for you guys!" Commander Aravin yelled, directing those words to Atilla and the others who would join their brilliant plan.
His wings went ablaze, and he dropped from the wall, diving down with his head first. The temperature around the wall instantly rose, and it was followed by a boom as a fire followed the wall line, burning everything close to the wall. There was no scream as the void creature turned into dust, including the void creatures that climbed on the wall.
Hitane followed his friend after he repeatedly commanded his soldiers to stay on the wall and not to follow him. Atilla and Commander Rudra also ca down after using their Bloodline transformation followed by Commander Damaris and Commander Alcantara of The Whispers Alliance.
The army of the void creatures had created piles of dead bodies that would help them to climb the wall, and yet those bodies evaporated by Aravin's fire. That was enough to catch Thomas Lysvand's attention, but the latter rely watched them as he did not make any move.
"It's ti to follow the plan, guys. We will spread out and cull their numbers as much as possible, but try not to get too far from each other so we could help when the emperor cos down." Commander Rudra reminded his fellow commanders.
He turned into a Fishman with fins and flippers, but his bloodline was from a whale-like monster. His back was deep blue, and his chest was white. He maintained his facial features, but he turned blue. The biggest change was his height as Rudra reached ten ters.
The mont they confird that the emperor did not move, they spread out and fought the wave of void creatures. These void creatures were nothing in the face of the Five Commanders and one Chief Administrator. They slaughtered the void creatures that got close to them.
Thomas Lysvand had his eyes on Commander Edson as he quickly recognized the commander of The Hurakan Legion. He recognized the commander imdiately even though it was no longer from Lysvand's blood that led the Hurakan Legion. He tried to gauge how strong the current commander was, but the thunder was not enough to asure how strong the commander was.
The emperor hoped the commander of the Hurakan Legion would do sothing before getting overwheld, but there were a few people who disturbed his observation. Six individuals, six of less than a hundred strongest individuals in the frontier made a ss. The first one cleared the piling of dead bodies and then followed by the other five.
He recognized them as the commander of their force, and they did not bring down their force with them to hold the advance of his army. He furrowed his brow, getting irritated that these people ruined his little plan.
Thomas Lysvand was confident in his power, but he just wanted more assurance that he was stronger than the Commander of the Hurakan Legion. But these six clowns made a ss for him, but he felt there was sothing weird with these six people. Only the people from the right wall ca down from the wall to fight his army on the ground.
It felt like these people were setting a trap for him, trying to lure him down to the ground to fight them. He carefully scanned the wall, especially around those six people. There was no trap or sothing hidden. Then he checked the people on the right, trying to look for sothing that might be a trap. There might be soone stronger than him waiting.
Luminar, The King of the Hurakan Kingdom would do everything to kill, including disguising himself as an ordinary soldier to ambush him. He could not find sothing unusual as those people shot their arrows and spells at the furthest void creatures.
Thomas Lysvand let the six commanders obliterate his army, trying to find any details that he missed. But he found out that there was nothing out of the ordinary. It was his feeling that there was sothing wrong, but he did not know what he missed.
"Am I being overcautious because I have not fought strong force for a while?" He let out a cackle.
1829 Hit And Run
"You don't look like soone who almost died." Commander Hitane checked on his friend and was relieved to find out that the spear only tore his hand.
"Fools! Keep your head high! More is coming!" Commander Rudra of the Ancient Kingdom scread at Hitane and Aravin. The two looked relaxed after the first strike which was stupid as five more spears were coming for them.
A brilliant light flashed and Atilla stood before the two commanders. She swung her swords and deflected all five spears.
Aravin and Hitane looked up at their savior, an angel with three pairs of white wings floated before him. Atilla had an angelic bloodline with her, and her Divine Energy worked well against the Void Energy. She appeared like an angel of war, having four hands and each holding similar swords that glowed in divine light.
Damaris had a Nine-Tailed Fox bloodline, but she only managed to awaken up to six tails with her bloodline transformation. She had not fully awakened her bloodline and did not have a True Transformation yet. Alcantara was next to her, and his bloodline was an ancient magma elental creature. His whole body turned into magma, and he looked like a magma Golem. The molten magma dropped from his body, letting out a sizzling noise as it landed on the ground.
"Let's skip the unnecessary talk guys, he's coming!" Atilla warned them.
The five commanders were confused at first because they still saw the emperor in the sky. But then the figure blurred, and the emperor appeared again in front of Atilla.
The angel of the wall managed to form a divine shield, blocking the spear. Thomas Lysvand's eyes widened slightly, surprised that the angel managed to block his first strike. His first strike was never missed, and this was the first ti after the Genesis Emperor and Luminar blocked his first strike.
"It seems like the angel is stronger than the dragon." He realized that he underestimated the angel.
"Do you think so?" Aravin was right behind the emperor with a sword ready in his hand. He struck the hand, but his sword went through the emperor's head, and he did not feel like he hit the emperor. Sure enough, the body dissolved into a black shadow.
"He is here!" Commander Rudra's voice ca from above. Everyone turned up and saw the whale-man caught the emperor's right ankle. He pulled the emperor with his force and threw the forr Hurakan Legion Commander to the ground.
Boom!
The dust rose but it was swept away with a fierce wind as the emperor revealed himself once more. The emperor used his Bloodline Transformation as well, a bloodline that was known from the Hurakan Legion, Nean. Another Primal Creature that existed in the era of the First Dragon.
Thomas Lysvand's hair grew longer, growing a mane around his neck which was blue in color. He had the golden lion eyes, bat-like wings grew on his back, and a long crimson blade ford out from the elbows. Then his mane and tails flared up in the dark fla, and his mythical look turned into a terrifying look. His eyes turned darker, and he locked his gaze on Commander Rudra who slamd him down to the ground.
He was about to jump at Rudra who forced him to use the skill, but he realized that his feet sank in and then was followed with a burning sensation. The ground turned into magma and pulled him down. Commander Alcantara managed to trap the emperor with his magma.
Things started to get annoying for Thomas, and the angel appeared before his face with her sword, and the one with the dragon bloodline behind him. His figure dissolved into shadow and materialized in the distance, realizing that it was not good if he got surrounded by the six commanders.
He had sent a command to the void creatures not to get closer to where he was as it would be just a waste of their manpower to send against the six commanders. Thomas Lysvand hoped to lure the six commanders to chase after him, that was why he did not go that far. However, the six commanders remained in their spots and watched him from a distance as well.
Atilla and Rudra reminded the four not to chase after Thomas Lysvand. They might fall into his trap or if the emperor got too close to the kings, their plan would fail. Their goal was to lure the emperor away so Tang Shaoyang could kill the kings.
"I thought this would be a hard fight, but the second emperor is not as strong as I thought." Commander Alcantara remarked. He knew Thomas was annoyed with him for the slam, and he tried to provoke the emperor.
"The reason we can't kill them is because they are good at running, not fighting." Commander Rudra joined Alcantara, jeering at the emperor.
The aura around Thomas changes, the terrifying aura spread out on the battlefield as his wing released the black smoke. Then his figure blurred, and at the sa ti, a hundred black spears ford in the sky.
The hundred of the black spears shot down at the six figures, forcing the six commanders to spread out. They focused on the spears, so they lost sight of Thomas.
Thomas appeared next to Commander Rudra, his first shot toward Rudra's head, but a blue barrier ford between the two. It was Rudra's passive skill, a natural barrier ford when he was in danger. The fist t with the barrier and sent Rudra flying to the wall.
Boom!
Thomas glanced at Alcantara, but then Atilla was already on his tail. He turned around and ford a sword in his right hand with Void Energy. He deflected Atilla's sword, then it was followed by a short clash between the two. In the five seconds, their swords clashed more than a hundred tis. The sparks flew around, and Atilla's Divine Energy failed to dominate the Void Energy.
Aravin, Damaris, and Hitane imdiately assisted Atilla, surrounding the emperor. Thomas let out a roar as he released a shock wave made of void energy, pushing the four people around him backward. Then he felt sothing hot grab his thigh, he looked down as Alcantara erged from the ground that had turned into magma. Commander Alcantara tried to bring him down to the ground.
He swung the sword and cut Alcantara's hand, but Alcantara did not give up as he grabbed his ankle. The hand he cut also regenerated quickly and grabbed both of his ankles, pulling him down. Then he felt sothing coming from above, a teor fell toward him.
With how fast the teor ca down, Thomas Lysvand could not get away from it. Alcantara held him down.
Boom!
The teor hit Thomas Lysvand. It exploded and engulfed the area with magma. The six commanders regrouped as Alcantara erged from the ground. He had recovered his hand and looked at the explosion hopefully. Six of them were aware that it was far from enough to kill Thomas Lysvand, but they were still hopeful that the teor did sothing.
The explosion cald down, but a figure was still standing, unscathed. Thomas Lysvand was perfectly fine as the teor failed to achieve the desired result.
The teor attracted everyone's attention. The soldiers on the wall cheered when the teor hit the emperor, but the cheers died down the mont they saw the emperor unscathed. Amidst the cheers, the chaos, and the explosion, The Reds disappeared from the wall. After making sure the six commanders could hold the emperor, Tang Shaoyang started his mission.
