Everything happened too fast for everyone to react. The first one to grab the key was Baldy, and the mont he made a stupid declaration, his head was cut. No one expected that a God Rank would be cut like that whether it was a surprise attack or not. The notorious bandit should be able to fend off the attack. The worst would be a major wound from the attack.
The fact that the forr bandit leader was helpless was alarming for everyone inside and outside the cell. That was not sothing new for Lady Akhor and her attendants, but witnessing it firsthand was still shocking.
Zelie Linden Akhor put herself in the bandit's position, could she stop her head getting severed? She did not have the confidence because she could not see Tang Shaoyang's movent, at all. How was she supposed to block the sword when she could not see it coming?
Tang Shaoyang shook the blood on his sword and sheathed it back as he walked back to the exit. He stood there and looked at the remaining criminals, only half of them were free from the cuff because they were shaken to see what happened to their cell friend.
"What's the aning of this?" One of the criminals questioned Lady Akhor, not Tang Shaoyang. He seed to purposely avoid a confrontation with Tang Shaoyang. He did not know who the man was, but they cut a deal with the noblewoman.
"Let start with an introduction. I was chosen to be the commander for criminals like you guys. What happened is a warning for you all. That's what will happen to you if you do sothing stupid," Tang Shaoyang responded to the man, "That's what will happen to you if you don't follow the agreent, whatever the agreent is."
Zalan, who looked down all the ti, raised his head and looked toward Tang Shaoyang. His eyes were lifeless, had lost the will to live, soone who wanted to be dead.
"You purposely threw the key closer to that bald head because you know he will do sothing stupid by breaking the agreent, giving you a reason to act," Zalan read Tang Shaoyang's intention, "You don't have to cut his head, cutting his legs and hands should be enough as a warning. You are just putting us at a disadvantage. We just lost a God Rank for the upcoming battle."
Tang Shaoyang smiled, "While you look like soone who had given your life, you are quite sharp, but you are only half-right," he shook his head, recalling his past. Back then, breaking a leg or a hand worked well for a warning, but the sa thod would not work in the current situation. They would not be deterred knowing what would co for them unless it was death. Limbs could be regenerated, but they could not be resurrected, at least, these people would not have the thod.
"And it doesn't matter if you join or not, we would never be at a disadvantage. I am just following the assignnt for my own gain. You just need to be obedient and stay behind because I will take care of the rest. Follow quietly if you want your freedom back, understand?"
Zalan furrowed his brows, clearly disliked his commander. However, he could not refute his commander after such a showing. It was natural for soone like his new commander to be arrogant. He said nothing after letting out a sigh.
The six God Ranks aside for Marton and Zalan exchanged glances. They seed to reach a tacit agreent and answered Tang Shaoyang's call. With that, the eight criminals were following Tang Shaoyang's command.
Zelie Linden Akhor did not like the player's thod, but it was effective. She had a headache when she thought of controlling the criminals, a problem for their side because the last thing they wanted was a fight between the criminals and the soldiers. But that was resolved in less than a minute.
She was relieved that they had soone that could put these criminals on leash. However, she had so concerns about this player as well. What if the player suddenly turned against her and tried to take over the town? After such a showing from the player, she felt threatened even though she was also a God Rank.
Lady Akhor threw away the useless thoughts and focused back on the matter at hand. She looked down at the criminals led by the player. Per their agreent, the criminals would be the vanguard, stationed in front of the wall. If they survived in this battle from such a position, they would be pardoned for their cris. However, she forgot to tell the player about the arrangent. The player did not deserve such an arrangent as he was not one of the criminals.
She was concerned that the player might resent her after the battle for the arrangent. But her concern disappeared when she sensed vibration from her feet. She looked up ahead, her eyes failed to catch anything, but she knew the Giant and the Orc were coming for the town.
The Giant looked like a human, but they were just much bigger than them. The Giant was between ten to fifteen ters tall. They were known for their regenerative power and strength and also had an innate ability that would reduce magic damage. People hunted the Giant for their skins because of their innate ability as it would make great equipnt.
Not just the skin, the most valuable one was the heart. The Heart could be used to make a potion that increased their stats permanently, and of course, the Giant's male genital was also a precious ingredient to make Viagra, a superior version of Viagra. The item was sought by the nobles, and it was sold for a higher price even compared to the potion to increase the stats.
The vibration was getting stronger and stronger as the Giant was coming closer. The stronger vibration was an indication of how close the Giant was, and then she caught the towering figure far ahead. The soldiers on the wall panicked at the sight of the Giant, and it quickly spread as the soldiers grew frantic.
"What are you doing, criminals? They are here! Attack! Attack!"
Lady Akhor frowned because she recognized the voice. It was her commander's voice, her direct subordinate. It was agreed that Tang Shaoyang as a general for the criminals would not receive a command from anyone but her. Yet, giving the criminals a command was the sa as challenging her authority.
She noticed the player turned around, looking at her commander. Then he looked toward his direction, making a gesture. She imdiately understood the ssage.
"Tell him to shut up, or I will kill him." Or sothing similar.
Tang Shaoyang was already annoyed with his situation, not because he was put below the wall, but because of the delay. He stayed in this place for almost a day, doing nothing. Then soone who hid behind the wall started ordering him around, which annoyed him even more.
The soldiers started to follow their leader, screaming at him and the criminals to attack.
"Out of spite, I want to let the Giant pass to see what they can do…" He muttered in a low voice.
"Haha…" The God Rank criminal, Tornak let out a chuckle, "Did the nobles deceive you, boss? You don't know you will be put here with us, don't you?"
Tornak accepted Tang Shaoyang more quickly than the others. Knowing how strong Tang Shaoyang was, he planned to stay close to his new commander.
"Not really… They are here, let's go!" Tang Shaoyang shrugged and started to advance, "Rember, stay behind and only kill the enemy that passes if you treasure your life."
That was why Tornak accepted Tang Shaoyang quickly. He knew his commander did not try to get them killed, but he tried to protect them and helped them to gain their freedom. Even though he believed his commander was quite naive to think the thod would help them in this battle. No matter how strong his commander was, it was just a matter of ti until he was overwheld by the enemy numbers.
Tang Shaoyang used his Bloodline Transformation right away. He did not try to have fun with the Giant or the Orcs. He just wanted this to be done quickly.
Tornak's eyes widened in shock because of his commander's aura, then his commander disappeared from his sight. It was so fast that he could not follow the movent, but he caught the trail. He followed the trail, and then he saw a giant golden sword in the sky, not just one or two, dozens of them.
It was akin to a judgnt, the sword ca down and obliterated the Giant and the Orcs. His hair stood up when he heard the Giant's cries.
Zalan and Marton were the first ones to react. They rushed toward the battlefield to follow their commander, and then Tornak snapped out, "What are you doing, you bunch of useless fools! Follow the commander!"
Tornak raised his sword and motioned forward for his subordinates to follow the commander. Tornak did not really expect that he would admire soone and had the urge to follow that person.
