Mathias laughed at the pointless threat. Whether they were part of the Hurakan Kingdom or not, the threat was a joke in his eyes.

First, it was pointless because the Hurakan Kingdom could easily deny and prove to them that the claim was not true. Second, the Hurakan Kingdom was not afraid of an alliance like the Ten Stars Accord. The thought of the Hurakan Kingdom going to war excited him.

"Let’s not trouble them when we are not with them anymore," Nicolas, who had always been strict in everything, voiced his thoughts. The thought of inconveniencing his old faction didn’t sit right with him.

"Who cares about them?" Mathias was the only one who easily got rid of his attachnt to the Hurakan Kingdom. "They are strong enough to take care of what cos after them. If they couldn’t take care of such a small issue, they would have gone a long ti ago."

Mathias turned toward Remin, who was flabbergasted by how nonchalant they were. He just waved his hand at Remin, "And you don’t need to worry about us or the Hurakan Kingdom. You should be concerned about yourself!"

He then disregarded Remin and walked ahead along with the others. Jovrick didn’t have any interest in the conversation in the first place. The only ones who seed to be concerned were Ruben and Nicolas. Both still had so attachnt to their old kingdom, but they followed Gianni’s lead.

It got into Remin with how these people disregarded him. This was the first ti that he was getting disregarded in a battle. He had forgotten the last ti he was getting treated like this.

"Don’t you—" His anger flared and was about to give chase until a shadow lood over him.

Remin leaped backward as a figure landed where he was just standing. An axe split the dust, aiming at his head. He easily dodged with a light backward step.

The axe hit the ground and went with a bang. A cloud of dust rose once more, but then it was split by a red-skinned figure. The red-skinned orc appeared from the other side, swinging both of his axes from both sides.

Remin assud this red-skinned orc was also a God Rank even though he could not feel its aura. For a renowned battle-thirsty monster, orc was known for their extre strength. It was stupid to clash head-on, especially when they were in the sa rank. However, Remin wanted to try to fight it head-on, testing the difference between them.

He raised his short swords, blocking both axes. His eyes widened when his sword blocked the axe. Both arms went numb, and he was sliding backward after, getting pushed back for twenty ters.

The worst thing was the realization that ca after. The red-skinned orc had a crazed grin while raising its axe to the shoulder. It was the fact that the attack was purely brute force, with no skills or any other abilities. No bloodline transformation or elental form.

anwhile, he had a bloodline transformation and an elental body active, yet he was getting overwheld. That showed the strength gap between them, but the gap was too big for him to get overwheld despite his active skills.

"You are decent!" The red-skinned orc yelled at him, or more like a roar.

The red-skinned orc threw two axes made of energy. Those two axes were spinning crazily as it shot toward him.

Remin quickly dematerialized his body into a pure shadow. The spinning axes went through his body and went with a boom behind. By the ti he materialized back, he heard a massive laughter that sounded like a bear’s roar.

He looked up and saw an image of a black bear behind the red-skinned orc. The bear roared in fury, and the red-skinned orc’s body released steam of dark-red energy. In that instant, the orc’s figure blurred and appeared again in front of him. It was so fast that it forced him to dematerialize again.

The fist that was covered in that ominous energy went past his dematerialized body. He was glad that the orc could not hit him, but that was also a disadvantage for him. He was invulnerable during this form, but at the sa ti, he would not be able to hurt the orc.

Remin thought of disappearing into a shadow and tried to look for an opening with his years of assassination experience. However, that would ruin his plan to delay the chaser. He let many pass him, but it would be worse if this one were also chasing after his subordinates.

He kept dodging the fist in his dematerialized form, but he knew this could not continue. His sacrifice would be pointless if he could only stop one monster.

"What’s wrong? Why don’t you fight ? I thought you would be a decent opponent! This is disappointing for soone from a big faction!"

The red-skinned orc was frustrated, and it made sure to let him know about its disappointnt.

"Why? Why are you all so weak? You talk a lot about being a big powerhouse or sothing, but this is a total disappointnt! Fight , WEAKLING!"

Remin could say that this orc was provoking him, goading him to confront it face to face. Despite this, he decided to fight the orc head-on. Again, he was not delaying the chaser if he was held by this red-skinned monster.

He materialized from the shadow at a distance, twenty ters away from the red-skinned orc. He made sure to keep tracking the orc, but then he lost sight of it for a mont; but he knew where it was. A shadow lood over him from behind.

Remin took a light step to the left, his shadow spread to his swords as he swung them back. He turned around and was ready to et with the fist. With his high-level Shadow Elental Power and God Ranked Swords, he should be able to cut that fist. He thought he might catch the cocky monster off guard with his high-quality weapon.

The orc was certainly furious, and he kept running away from it. He could see the anger on its face. The black-bear image was still hovering behind the orc. Its blood-red eyes were locked on him, but he faced the fist with confidence.

His swords t with the first, and he quickly found out that he had made a big mistake in thinking his God Rank Sword would be able to hurt the red-skinned orc.

This was multiple tis stronger than the first clash. His arms absorbed the damage and burst out in blood. His skin burst, his muscles were torn, and the remaining force hit his whole body. It felt like getting through a mountain, and he was imdiately sent flying.

Remin chugged two vials of healing potion that quickened the healing of his limping hands while lying down on the ground. All his body felt the throbbing pains even after the healing potion. The potion helped with the wound, but not with the traumatic experience his body went through.

A similar shadow lood over him. His vision was covered by the dust, but he could tell that the one in front of him was the sa orc.

This ti, axe split through the dust, but he quickly kicked the ground, launching himself away from the red-skinned orc. He quickly got on his feet, creating more than fifty ters of distance in a single launch, but that fifty ters was nothing to the red-skinned monster.

He was t with the flying axes next. The sa axe constructs as before, and those two were just a few centiters away from his eyes when he realized it. He quickly dematerialized his body into shadow, and next, the red-skinned orc was already in front of him.

Remin dodged the fist to the side. He learned his lesson not to et head-on first. His nimble movent helped him get to the orc’s right side. Instead of attacking the orc directly, he went for the orc’s shadow.

That was one of his famous skills, killing people through their shadows. His swords slamd toward the shadow, but then his eyes widened in shock. His swords bounced back instead of cutting the orc’s shadow. As if the shadow shared the sa toughness as the real body. That should not happen; he should be able to cut through the shadow.

Shadow was supposed to be fragile, especially to him. Yet the shadow bounced his swords. This didn’t make sense; a lot of questions popped into his head. His sense tingled, sensing the incoming danger from behind him.

His form burst into shadow once more, creating even further distance. At this point, he realized it would take more for him to kill the monster, if he could. He had no choice but to bring the red-skinned orc into his domain if he wanted to quicken this up.

As he created distance from the red-skinned ogre, he manipulated the monster’s shadow. The shadow crawled up to the monster’s legs, coiling around them. That should be enough to stop the ogre from moving around. He didn’t waste his ti activating his domain, trying to pull the monster into his Shadow Domain.

That was when he noticed the world had changed. Remin was not exaggerating to say the world changed as the world lost its color. The fla turned black and white. The ground blackened, the sky grayed, and the white bald trees started to grow up sparsely.

That was strange because he could not sense any energy that affected the change. If it were just his vision that changed, he would be fine. However, the first thing he noticed was that his Shadow Domain was getting canceled. That alard him. As if it was not bad enough, he lost his focus and let the red-skinned orc freed from his shadow bind.

Remin snapped toward the red-skinned ogre, but then he saw that the red-skinned ogre was not chasing after him like before. In fact, the red-skinned monster looked disappointed and looked away.

That was when he heard a heartbeat, not from his own chest, but close to his chest. He looked down and saw a golden hand holding a beating heart. The hand pierced his chest from behind, then his vision turned upside down.

Remin saw his headless body was still standing, and a figure was standing behind his body. He didn’t need to see that figure’s face to find this figure’s identity. This man was the Executive Administrator Tang Shaoyang.

He was inford that Tang Shaoyang had a dragon bloodline, but he noticed a difference in the wing. He noticed the black-feather wings mixed with those dragon wings. His mind was still trying hard to figure out what kind of person they fought. That was his last mont before his vision totally blacked out.
