Avourel didn’t want to believe Khaya. He refused to believe her until she showed the ssage logs. It started from the eting between the Ten Stars Accord’s leaders and the Executive Administrator.
She scrolled down the ssage for him, and he saw what happened. The eting about Tang Shaoyang’s attack on the Shadow Star. By the ti the eting was held, the Shadow Star’s main world, Allavaine, was already attacked. Not just attacked, they already lost their main force, including Geralt and the Elders.
He also saw how Tang Shaoyang’s team was spreading the news live. They spread the news with malicious intent for their sche, so the Ten Stars Accord’s enemies might take advantage of the gap left behind by the Shadow Star.
The unbelievable thing was that Tang Shaoyang didn’t know who he had killed at first. It was his subordinates who found out who killed the Leader of the Serpent Star later on.
The ssage logs showed that they didn’t know who Tang Shaoyang killed. However, his subordinates quickly found out that only the Serpent Star’s representatives were missing from the eting. That was how the news of Isidrus and Delmir’s death spread out. They deliberately spread the news so the Ten Stars Accord would be attacked by their enemies.
That was why Khaya told him that the Serpent Star would not co to help him. Choosing a new leader was not easy. There were many elents that might get involved. It might take more than a week, and the best scenario was when the Serpent Star could avoid infighting in selecting the new leader.
"Things would be different if you hadn’t tried your stupid plan. But now we have to witness our clansn getting slaughtered, and you are the one who is responsible for all of this, Avourel."
Khaya beca less and less formal as she continued speaking, voicing her frustration. With this fight alone, Tang Shaoyang showed the potential of what he would beco in the future.
That was the reason why she was being insistent with her proposal. If the Daenelis Clan could join the Tang Empire earlier, before they opened their wings and flew. The Daenelis Clan would benefit a lot once the Tang Empire establishes its influence in the God Realm. Their status in the Tang Empire would be high, and their clan would prosper.
Of course, she was also aware it was a gamble, but it was a worthy gamble. Especially after she got a peek at how strong Tang Shaoyang was.
"Stop lanting your fate, Khaya. It’s ti for you to make a decision now!" Tang Shaoyang appeared behind them.
Khaya would stand and greet him, but she was too exhausted for that. She stayed on the ground, letting out a sigh.
"My decision? I don’t know what you are talking about, sir. I don’t think I have the right to make any decision after what almost happened to your family."
The thought of her action almost killing innocent children horrified her. She would not be able to get rid of her guilt for what happened.
"If you feel guilty for what happened, then redeem it with your strength, do what you can instead of giving up. But again, that’s your choice. I am not going to force you to do anything," Tang Shaoyang walked toward the frozen Avourel.
He had the gist of the conversation between Khaya and Avourel. In fact, it was Avyn who told him to invite Khaya to join the Tang Empire. He hesitated to make that decision because he had killed her clansn. Khaya might develop a grudge against him that could bring danger to him and his family.
However, Avyn convinced him to bring Khaya with him. He trusted Khaya as of now, but he trusted Avyn more. He trusted Avyn’s judgent and went along with it.
"Now what am I going to do with you?"
He gave Khaya so ti to decide as he stopped in front of Avourel. The man had lost his vigor; he turned pale white. It was unclear whether it was because of his body’s low temperature or because of what he witnessed.
The fight was quite brutal, but it was entertaining for him. That was right, the fight was entertaining, but it was not enough to make him excited as well.
"Kill ..." Avourel had truly given up on his life and hope, not even trying to beg for his life.
"Don’t worry about it. Today will be your funeral, if you have soone to hold a funeral for you. But I feel like I need to do sothing before killing you," Tang Shaoyang rubbed his chin, thinking.
"Stop it! Don’t make it your habit again. Just kill him and be done with him," Avyn could tell what was in Tang Shaoyang’s head. He would likely torture Avourel ntally or physically, or maybe even both, before killing Avourel.
"Imagine how Xiulan, Yue, and Jiaying would feel if they found out about this? The rumor about you love to torture people before killing them has died down lately," Avyn clicked her tongue, "Your daughters might distance themselves if they find out, or their friends find out, and start to isolate your daughters. Whatever the outco, it will not end well for you."
The mont Avyn finished her swords, a dark-red sword construct pierced Avourel’s head from behind, killing him in one strike.
Tang Shaoyang made sure that he heard the notification before pulling the sword. As the sword disappeared, so did the body. He put them into his inventory for later use.
Then he turned toward Khaya, "We don’t have that much ti. You need to make the decision right now, Khaya."
"Is the offer just for ? What about my family?" Khaya replied with a question.
"You can bring your family to join us. Nandra, Salia, and the Junior Administrators from your clan can move out with you, too, if they want to. Of course, I have to warn you and your friends that there’s no third chance. The mont I find out that any of you do anything that brings danger to and my empire. I will get rid of you and your entire family."
Nandra was the Senior Administrator who was originally from Khaya’s team, along with Salia, who was a Junior Administrator back then. Now Salia has reached Senior Administrator. Along with the Admin Helpers who had beco Junior Administrators, there were four more people from the Daenelis Clan.
Tang Shaoyang didn’t see their involvent in this fight. Nandra and Salia were not among the people who tried to kill Khaya. He didn’t see the four Junior Administrators as well. If they were not in this plan, then he didn’t mind accepting them.
