Tang Shaoyang finished his business in the Sacred Realm after establishing the Thousand Vows Pavilion. He accomplished the mission given by the Administrator, and he fulfilled his promise with the grandmaster of the Thousand Vows Pavilion.
Of course, the Thousand Vows Pavilion was considered a vassal with him being an Overseer. If the grandmasters could not reach a consensus decision among themselves, then he would step up. It was a new role that he set up for himself under the grandmasters’ agreent.
He completed two objectives even though everything deviated from what he initially planned.
The original plan was to observe the war between the Heaven Founder and the Murim Alliance, profiting from the conflict by harvesting the bodies for sacrificial materials. Things changed when Alderman Fiodor suddenly sided with the Heaven Founder.
Alderman was not the only reason, but the treasures in the Sacred Realm changed his mind. The elental essence that could help to awaken an elental affinity, the dicinal herbs, and more were also the factors that led Tang Shaoyang to decide to set up the Thousand Vows Pavilion in the Sacred Realm.
That was right, he set up a direct portal from his territory in the God Realm to the Sacred Realm. That would make things easier than using Ouyang Biya’s portal.
With everything done, he planned to summon a few spirits with the bodies he had gathered in the Sacred Realm. However, the Administrator was in his way as they summoned him. It was related to the Alderman’s case, where he was in charge.
He had reported to them that he had killed Alderman, but they still asked him to co. There was this thing called procedure. Apparently, his credit for killing that traitor was put on hold unless he answered the summons, which was why he ca to the Administrator.
It was the sa room where he t the Executive Administrator for the first ti. They were sitting on the pillar-like platform, all of them except for him.
It was all similar, where he had to look them up. The difference was that they were equal now, and the remaining Executive Administrators no longer covered their faces.
Two seats were empty. The seat belonged to Palmas and Alderman. One was killed, but he didn’t know how Palmas was killed, and he killed Alderman with his own hand.
"Don’t you prepare one for ? The seat?" He pointed at the pillar.
Arion let out a chuckle and pointed at the two empty seats, "You can take one of the seats if you want." He was the only one humored by his question.
Tang Shaoyang shrugged, "The owners of those two seats are dead. The seats might be cursed. I don’t want to be cursed and die in a year or two. I will wait until mine is ready."
Then his body floated in the air and only stopped when he was on the sa level of height as the pillar.
"What are you doing!? You can’t use energy in this sacred room!" One of the Executive Administrators, a man who looked in his mid-forties, reprimanded Tang Shaoyang with a harsh tone.
Tang Shaoyang glanced at the man. He had a list of the Executive Administrator’s nas, but he didn’t know each of their faces. The only faces he recognized were three people: Arion, Clentine, and Baba. He didn’t even know the one nad Andre, the one who was supposed to be the strongest, together with Clentine.
"So? What are you going to do? Kick out?"
That just ca out of his mouth, an instant response that caught everyone in the room off guard. A few seconds of silence followed, which was later broken by Arion’s sonorous laughter.
"You!" The man pointed his finger in anger.
Tang Shaoyang didn’t know why he had such a reaction. Maybe because he was annoyed with this procedure thingy. Or maybe he was annoyed that he didn’t have a seat and had to look up even though they had an equal status. Or maybe he was just annoyed that his Spirit Summoning was delayed. Or maybe everything combined and added, this man acted so cocky despite having an equal status.
Tch!
He clicked his tongue in annoyance, "Stop with this nonsense and get to the point. I am very busy with a lot of stuff, not like you guys who have so much spare ti. Why are you calling here?"
He looked at Clentine. She and Andre might be the only two voices that were respected in this room. He didn’t know which one was Andre, so he turned toward Clentine.
"You are not allowed to use your energy in this room, newbie!" Another one responded, but the comnt had nothing to do with what he asked. He had the sa intention as the previous one, but with a much softer yet firm tone.
Tang Shaoyang squinted his eyes at the man. A dark-skinned man who looked to be in his mid-thirties with a bald head. Again, he didn’t know who this person was.
He could think about what they were trying to do. Especially the way this dark-skinned man addressed him as a newbie. They tried to establish a rank between him and them. That made sense why they decided to et him in this room.
The more he thought about it, the more annoyed he beca. They summoned him just to do this kind stuff. Under normal circumstances, he would not fall for this kind of stupid play. However, they delayed his business just for this.
He was about to say sothing, but Arion interrupted him. Arion spoke first.
"Alright, that’s enough. No one cares about that stupid unwritten rule."
Arion could tell that sothing interesting was about to happen. He wanted to watch how things unfolded, just like watching a drama. However, Clentine sent him a ssage to intervene before things escalated. She seed to know a little bit more about Tang Shaoyang, to know sothing bad was about to happen.
He raised his hand when Harmond and Douma tried to say sothing. When they t his gaze, they backed down.
"First, we need proof that you truly have killed Alderman. Second, we need the complete report about..." His words stopped midway.
Tang Shaoyang took out the Alderman’s head. He didn’t think they would ask him for proof. It was fortunate that he didn’t use the Spirit Summoning before coming here. Or else he might not get the credit for completing the mission.
The room fell silent. There was no wound or blood on Alderman’s face. It was a clean, pale face that belonged to Alderman. They were surprised how the head was still intact and didn’t have a wound. It didn’t look like Alderman was killed in a fight.
Arion furrowed his brow and shot up from his pillar. He stood in front of the head and examined it. It was an observation, trying to find if there was a magic alteration on the head. He could not find the magic that altered the face.
Then he started to touch the head, checking the ears and cheeks. He even opened his mouth as he put his finger inside. Then he found out the head was real. It was Alderman’s head.
He looked up at Tang Shaoyang with a surprised expression. The fact that Tang Shaoyang was standing strong and healthy in front of him surprised him. He expected Tang Shaoyang to suffer from backlash or wounds after fighting Alderman.
Not just Tang Shaoyang didn’t get injured, he killed Alderman cleanly. The wounds inflicted by the God Rank, especially soone of Alderman’s caliber, were not sothing that could be healed with natural regeneration or a healing potion. Yet here the man was standing perfectly fine.
Arion turned toward Clentine before giving Andre a glance and nodded, "It’s real. It’s Alderman’s head."
He then returned to his seat, no longer having his playful expression. A realization sank into his head. He realized that he had underestimated Tang Shaoyang more than he thought. It was because he t the guy when Tang Shaoyang was still at Myth Rank back then.
He delegated the mission, hoping Tang Shaoyang would learn the power level of the Executive Administrator and the God Ranks in the God Realm. The lesson was so Tang Shaoyang would not offend anyone recklessly.
Of course, he also believed Tang Shaoyang had the upper hand. Or else he would not delegate the mission to him. But he expected it to be a struggle, a fierce battle that would beco a good lesson for Tang Shaoyang. However, based on the head’s condition, Tang Shaoyang managed to land a clean cut to the head.
"I am surprised that you can easily kill Alderman."
Tang Shaoyang didn’t know how Arion could reach that conclusion. Arion just examined the head, nothing else.
"It’s not easy, quite tricky in fact," He shrugged, "But what do you an by complete report? Are you telling how I killed Alderman, everything?"
Arion nodded in confirmation.
’F*ck off!’ He almost said that, but he managed to hold back.
"Alderman almost killed with a powerful skill that consud his strength and energy, but I killed him instead when he was exhausted. That’s my complete report."
