“President Stewart, are you alright?”
Sunny Tolkien exclaid, startled.
Lionel Yeager quickly stepped forward to support Julia Stewart.
Julia Stewart steadied herself against the desk, took a deep breath and said, “Sunny, no need for individual reportings, just tell outright how many companies have ended their partnerships with us.”
Sunny gritted her teeth and answered truthfully, “President Stewart, to date, eighteen companies have terminated their partnership with us, and the number is still climbing.”
“How did this happen?”
Julia massaged her temples, speaking up, “Why did all these companies suddenly choose to sever their partnerships with us, when there were no signs of it yesterday?”
Sunny explained, “From what I have heard, Prosperity Pharmaceutical exerted intense pressure.
If any companies continue to work with East Beauty Pharmaceuticals, Prosperity Pharmaceutical would dissolve their partnership.”
“As it stands, Prosperity Pharmaceutical has completely taken over the market in River City.
Their product sales are booming each day.”
“They want to cash in along with Prosperity Pharmaceutical and think that there is no future in their partnership with us.
That’s why they ended their cooperation.”
“So Prosperity Pharmaceutical has started to suppress us from all dinsions.”
Julia breathed out heavily, asking, “Is there any room for redemption?”
Sunny sighed, “It seems highly unlikely to salvage the situation.
Those companies have set their mind on aligning with Prosperity Pharmaceutical.”
“Why should we try to salvage the situation?”
“Since they want to sever their cooperation with us, then so be it.”
Lionel, who had been quiet all this while, spoke up.
Sunny responded, “Assistant Yeager, you may not know this.
But, if all companies sever their partnerships with us, it will be highly unfavorable to our company.”
Julia added, “Sunny is right.
If no company is there to distribute our products, our company’s losses will even be larger.”
“If this persists, our company will either have to choose to be acquired by Prosperity Pharmaceutical, or decide to declare bankruptcy.”
Lionel said, “President Stewart, Assistant Tolkien, trust , these difficulties are temporary.”
“When the day of our new product launch arrives, those fellows will learn how foolish their choices were.”
“I am sure that our new product will sell like hotcakes.”
“By then, they will be begging us for cooperation.”
“Assistant Yeager, you have so much confidence in our new product?”
Sunny asked curiously.
“Of course.”
Lionel nodded affirmatively, “I have complete confidence in my secret formula.”
Julia frowned, “However, our new product launch is still at least half a month away.”
“I am unsure if our company can withstand for half a month.”
“Even if we survive until the product launch, we cannot guarantee that our new product will be able to compete against Prosperity Pharmaceutical’s product, and retake the market.”
Lionel laughed, “President Stewart, have faith in , and in yourself.”
“As long as we overco this half month, you will witness a whole new future for East Beauty Pharmaceuticals.”
“I hope so.”
Julia sighed.
Although Lionel and Irving Luther had repeatedly emphasized how powerful the “Rouge Jade Liquid” was, she still had her doubts.
At this mont, Lionel’s phone rang.
He checked it and saw it was a call from Julie Stewart, therefore he answered the call.
“Mullen, are you busy at the mont?”
Julie’s gentle voice ca through the phone.
“Not at all, what’s up?”
Lionel asked.
Julie said, “I just started feeling chest pains again.
If you’re not busy, could you co over and help treat .”
Lionel responded, “No problem.
Send your address and I’ll be on my way.”
After hanging up the phone, Julie sent her address to Lionel’s phone.
Lionel put his phone away and said, “President Stewart, I need to step out for a bit.”
“Is there sothing going on?”
Julia asked.
Lionel answered, “Your aunt ntioned that her chest pain has resurfaced, and she would like to co over and treat her.”
Julia hurriedly replies, “Then you should hurry over, please do your best to cure my aunt’s myocarditis.”
“Don’t worry, it’s just a small issue.”
Lionel responded with an easy smile and left the office.
Once Lionel had departed, Julia instructed Sunny, “Sunny, hurry and rally the public relations team to reach out to all the companies, and try to salvage our partnerships.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Sunny responded, then left the office.
Once Sunny had left and the office door had closed, Julia picked up her phone and placed a call.
The call was quickly answered.
“President Stewart, what can I do for you?”
A female voice ca across the line.
Julia said, “President Spence, do you have so free ti today?
I’d like to have a chat with you.”
“Let’s do this.
I’m free this afternoon, let’s et and talk.”
“Done!”
Julia agreed, then hung up the phone.
She turned her gaze towards the window and murmured, “Prosperity Pharmaceutical, East Beauty Pharmaceuticals won’t go down so easily…”

World Trading, President’s Office.
Sawyer Lee sat on the sofa, smoking, the ashtray in front of him full of cigarette butts.
Knock Knock Knock.
There was a knock at the door.
“Co in.”
Sawyer said.
The door swung open and a female assistant rushed in.
“Director Lee, President Jordan of Prosperity Pharmaceutical insists us to make our decision as soon as possible!”
“If we continue to choose to cooperate with East Beauty Pharmaceuticals, they will sever their partnership with us for good!”
“Moreover, they will target us!”
Sawyer was agitated, “I already know about this, I am considering it.”
“Director Lee, have you decided how we should respond to President Jordan?”
The female assistant hurriedly asked.
Sawyer took a deep breath from his cigarette, extinguished the cigarette butt in the ashtray and said, “Tell President Jordan, that World Trading will not terminate its cooperation with East Beauty Pharmaceuticals!”
“What?!”
The female assistant was shocked, “Director Lee, wouldn’t you reconsider this?”
“Prosperity Pharmaceutical’s product sales are booming day by day while East Beauty Pharmaceuticals’ product sales are dropping each day, barely any purchasing East Beauty Pharmaceuticals’ products.”
“If we continue to choose to cooperate with East Beauty Pharmaceuticals, I’m afraid we will have a dead end!”
“Moreover, a lot of companies have already shifted towards Prosperity Pharmaceutical, terminating their cooperation with East Beauty Pharmaceuticals!”

I naturally have to stand with East Beauty Pharmaceuticals and support Assistant Yeager at this crucial juncture!”

The female assistant wanted to persuade Sawyer further.
