Julie Stewart said, “You go wait for in the courtyard first, I’ll change clothes.”
“Alright.”
Lionel Yeager nodded and left the room, arriving at the small courtyard.
After a short wait, Julie Stewart, now dressed in a cheongsam, walked out with a bag in hand.
“Mullen, let’s go.”
Then, Lionel Yeager and Julie Stewart left the courtyard and arrived at the coffee house entrance.
A blue Bentley Mulsanne was parked at the entrance.
A female driver dressed in a suit was waiting at the entrance.
After getting into the car, the driver started it and drove away from the coffee house.

Lionel Yeager asked curiously, “Sister Betty, where are we going for the auction?”
Julie Stewart replied, “Cloud Above Club.”
“Oh.”
Lionel Yeager nodded and asked again, “What will be auctioned off at the auction?”
“There will usually be jade and jewelry, antiques and calligraphy, and precious dicinal materials auctioned.
I have the auction catalog here, take a look and see if there’s anything you like.”
Julie Stewart spoke and then took out an auction catalog from her bag and handed it to Lionel Yeager.
Lionel Yeager took the catalog and flipped through it.
As expected, just as Julie Stewart said, the items up for auction were mostly jade and jewelry, antiques and calligraphy, and so valuable dicinal materials.
The other items didn’t interest Lionel Yeager much.
But, two types of dicinal materials caught Lionel’s attention.
One was 200-year-old ginseng, and the other was a purplish-colored material shaped like ginseng.
This purplish material was labeled “Purple Ginseng.”
However, Lionel felt that this Purple Ginseng looked familiar, as if it was the last dicinal material needed for refining the Gathering Spirit Pill, the “Purple Dragon Root.”
Of course, since he hadn’t seen the real thing, Lionel wasn’t sure and decided to take a look at the auction first.
If it was indeed the Purple Dragon Root, he would definitely bid for it.
“Mullen, did you find anything you like?”
Julie Stewart asked.
“Yes.”
Lionel Yeager nodded.
“That’s great!”
Julie Stewart gave a soft smile and said, “When you find sothing you want later, just let know and I’ll help you bid for it!”
Lionel Yeager said, “Sister Betty, let’s agree on this beforehand, you’ll help bid for one item only.
I can bid for the other items myself.”
Julie Stewart said, “How could that be?
Whatever you like, I’ll help you bid for all of it.”
Lionel Yeager said helplessly, “Sister Betty, if you do that, I won’t dare to attend this auction.”
Julie Stewart playfully rolled her eyes, “Fine, fine, I’ll only help you bid for one item.”
Over half an hour later, the car arrived at Cloud Above Club.
At the entrance, there were already quite a few luxury cars parked, so those attending the auction must be wealthy and distinguished.
After getting out of the car, Lionel followed Julie Stewart into the clubhouse.
As the auction had not yet begun, everyone was resting in the clubhouse’s rest area.
Lionel Yeager and Julie Stewart also found a place to sit down.
Julie Stewart asked, “Mullen, how’s it going with Betty recently?”
Lionel Yeager replied, “Pretty good.”
Julie Stewart sounded helpless, “I don’t know what father was thinking, insisting on you and Betty getting engaged.
Although Betty is grateful to you for saving her grandfather, it may still take so ti for her to accept you.
After all, Betty has never been in a relationship before and doesn’t understand feelings.”
“Love cannot be forced.
If you two can truly make it to the end, that would be the best outco.”
“I know.”
Lionel nodded and said, “So I will give her ti to genuinely accept .
Of course, if she still refuses to accept in the future, I will break off the engagent.”
Julie stared intently at Lionel, asking, “Mullen, I’m really curious, why did you agree to the engagent with Betty?
Is it just because she’s beautiful and a young mistress of the Stewart family?”

The one in front was a tall, handso young man dressed in a black casual suit.
“Who are you?”
Julie asked doubtfully.
The young man smiled and said, “Beauty, allow to introduce myself.
My na is Malcom Jordan, and my father is Loyal Martial Arts Gym’s hall master, Ralph Jordan.”
Upon hearing this, Lionel narrowed his eyes slightly.
Just now, he had sensed that this guy was a Late-Stage Martial Artist; it turns out he’s the hall master’s son.
“So, it’s the young master of the Jordan family.”
Julie nodded in understanding, then asked, “What can I do for you, Young Master Jordan?”
Malcom smiled gently and said, “Beauty, from the mont I first laid eyes on you, I fell in love with you.

So, I want you to be my girlfriend.”
Upon hearing this, Julie couldn’t help but smile amusedly.
Noticing Julie’s smile, Malcom was srized, as if his heart skipped a beat.

“A boyfriend?”
Malcom’s expression darkened, he pointed at Lionel and asked, “Are you referring to this kid?”
“Yes.”
Julie nodded, then gave Lionel a discreet gesture.
Lionel was montarily stunned, but quickly regained his senses.
It seed that this woman wanted him to act as a shield.
Everyone present was shocked.
What was going on?
Julie had a boyfriend?
How had they never heard of it before?
After all these years, Julie had remained single, rejecting countless confessions.
But they never expected that River City’s famous beauty now had a boyfriend!
Everyone’s eyes were filled with curiosity and focused on Lionel.
But when they saw Lionel’s plain attire, they shook their heads.
This guy is Julie’s boyfriend?
That’s way too ordinary, right?
“Young Master Jordan, I apologize, but she’s my girlfriend.
If you want to find a girlfriend, you should look elsewhere.” Lionel revealed an innocent, harmless smile to Malcom.
Malcom sized up Lionel, noticing his cheap black cotton clothes, disdain flickering in his eyes.
