Now reading: Chapter 86 86: Dimensionsal Energy! from As Ex-Machina In No Game No Life: Zero, a Action novel by Kazumatrash.

Dinsional Energy.

It was the core of my existence, the lifeblood of the system fused to my chanical soul. It was the only fuel capable of powering the Dinsional Engine, the device that allowed to traverse the boundaries between worlds.

Upon my integration with the system, a complete database regarding this energy had been uploaded to my mory banks. I knew it better than I knew myself.

In essence, it was "World Energy," extracted and refined by the system's unique technology. It was a potent, concentrated force, superior in quality to the native mana or electricity of any single world.

Because of this high purity, it acted as a universal donor; I could convert it 1:1 into any other form of energy, provided I had analyzed that energy's signature first.

It was, in many ways, the perfect power source.

However, there was a critical caveat.

"Authorization limited to System Host."

This wasn't just a security protocol. It was a physical necessity. Only a body reconstructed and reinforced by the system could withstand the raw, volatile nature of Dinsional Energy.

To anything else, any biological organism not protected by the system, it was an absolute poison.

Plants seed immune to its effects, absorbing the radiation without issue. But for animals? For humans? It was a death sentence.

The mont raw Dinsional Energy ca into contact with unprotected organic matter, it didn't just burn; it overwrote the target's existence.

The body's molecular bonds would simply... give up.

In less than a second, a human being would unravel, dispersing into a cloud of atoms. They would be washed away like sand in a tide, leaving not even a corpse behind.

In the world of No Ga No Life, the Ex-Machina's All-Directional Cross functioned by stripping the spirit circuits from the unit's body and firing them as a beam of destructive light. But I possessed no spirit circuits.

So, I had improvised. I had fired a beam of pure, raw Dinsional Energy.

The result was the devastation before us.

The valley was bathed in a golden, shimring twilight. The particles hung in the air, coated the rocks, and dusted the petals of the wildflowers. It looked holy. It looked divine.

It was a beautiful, radioactive wasteland.

I had anticipated this outco. Before the blast had even cleared the barrel of my arm-cannon, I had commanded one of my clones to place a high-level barrier around Takson. He was currently wrapped in an invisible, airtight shield that filtered out the lethal particles.

He was safe.

But safety breeds complacency. Even though the shield protected him, I chose to stop him.

"Warning: If you make direct contact with that 'golden energy,' your biological structure will destabilize imdiately."

My voice was calm, contrasting sharply with the horrific reality I was describing.

"In approximately 0.8 seconds, the entity known as 'Takson' will dissolve into a molecular cloud and cease to exist."

Takson froze. His hand, reaching for the glittering flower, trembled.

"What...?"

Upon hearing this, Takson snatched his hand back as if he had touched a hot stove. He scrambled over to , grabbing my shoulders with trembling hands. His face was pale with a very rational fear.

"Teacher! You said this was your attack, right?"

"Affirmative."

"Then... you can fix it, right? You can turn it back?"

He didn't doubt my power. In his mind, if I had the power to break the world, I surely had the power to put it back together. The terrifying beauty of the scene was now just terrifying.

It was Stell-neechan who did this... he thought, his mind racing. If she doesn't fix it, this whole forest is dead.

"..."

I didn't answer imdiately.

"Teacher?" His voice wavered. My silence was eroding his confidence. "You can handle this... right?"

"Rebuttal: No action is required," I stated calmly. "The phenonon will cease shortly."

"Eh? Huh?!" Takson blinked. "We don't need to do anything?"

Teacher must have a reason. He clung to that thought.

And, as always, I did.

"Explanation: This energy is highly unstable outside of my chassis. Within 34.7 seconds of exposure to the atmosphere, it degrades into harmless background radiation."

True to my word, the change began almost imdiately. The glittering gold that coated the trees and rocks began to fade. It was like watching a painting lose its color. The brilliance vanished, revealing the natural browns and greens beneath.

In monts, the landscape looked exactly as it had before.

"See?" Takson breathed a sigh of relief. "It was just an illusion..."

But then, he noticed it.

The silence.

The forest was dead quiet. No birds sang. No insects buzzed. The wind rustled the leaves, but that was the only sound.

The plants were fine. But every animal, every insect, every living creature within a multi-kiloter radius had been erased. Deleted from existence.

This was the reality of my power.

I looked at the silent forest. I also looked at the smoking hole in the mountain. My scan of the boss room confird that the Spiegel was dead. But so was the treasure. The gold, the jewels, the potential grimoires, all vaporized by the blast.

A waste, I thought. Efficiency demands that I rectify this.

Takson watched in confusion as I crouched down. Two black cables, my "tails", slithered out from under my dress and burrowed into the earth.

"Endo Armant: Activate"

"True Endo: Restoration Barrier"

A colossal magic circle, kiloters wide, expanded from my position, covering the entire affected area. My eyes glowed with intense light as I poured power into the spell.

"Target Specification: Exclude Hostile Entities. Exclude Labyrinth Structure."

"Execute: Temporal Regression."

It wasn't simple healing. It was ti reversal. Using the principles of Zafkiel, I forced the tiline of the designated area to rewind to a state before the blast occurred.

The effect was instantaneous.

Chirp. Buzz.

Sound returned to the world. Birds appeared on branches as if they had never left. Insects resud their crawling. The forest ca alive again.

And deep within the mountain, the piles of gold and treasure reconstituted themselves from nothingness.

However, I had been specific in my paraters. The Spiegel remained dead. And the massive hole I had punched through the mountain remained open.

The blast tunnel was no longer a scar; it was now a convenient shortcut.

"Reminder: Takson, remain here," I said, standing up and retracting my cables. "I will proceed to recover the assets. Once the collection is complete, we will return to Serie."

"Y-yes, ma'am!"

He was stunned. He had just watched wipe out all life in a forest and then bring it back with a wave of my hand. Even after years of traveling with , my abilities still defied his comprehension.

"Right... it's Stell-neechan," he muttered to himself as he watched disappear into the dark tunnel. "I shouldn't be surprised anymore. I really need to work on my ntal fortitude."

He sat down on the grass, crossing his legs to wait, trying to calm his racing heart.
