The atmosphere in the conference room was on the verge of exploding.

The company’s board mbers were already skeptical about Huo Zun’s concessions and opposed them.

However, they couldn’t express their anger due to the man’s power.

Now, Huo Zun’s decision to introduce a traditional Chinese dicine team seed too far-fetched to them.

So naturally, they were eager to oppose it to consolidate their power.

Hua Nuan squinted her almond eyes as she watched the white-haired old board mbers huddle together, discussing their counterasures.

Ha...

As you get older, you have to accept new things.

...

"Mr. Huo, you must think thrice before acting."

"Yes... You can’t just act on your whim."

Hua Nuan: "..."

Ha...

With a faint trace of sarcasm on her lips, Hua Nuan knocked on the door after hearing the board mbers’ words.

Knock knock, the knocking sound echoed, and Huo Zun glanced at the conference room door, slightly pursing his lips.

"Co in."

"Sorry to disturb you."

With a gentle curve on her lips, Hua Nuan pushed the door open and entered confidently.

The crowd was puzzled by Hua Nuan’s petite figure and delicate features.

"A new employee? Doesn’t she know we’re in a eting?"

Since everyone knew Huo Zun had no secretary, they assud Hua Nuan was a new employee upon seeing her.

"Yes, such audacity."

Listening to the n’s fluent English, Hua Nuan spoke calmly before Huo Zun could, "Well, I had no intention of interrupting, but as Mr. Huo Zun’s wife, I feel a duty and responsibility towards my husband’s company."

"Nice to et you all for the first ti, dear board mbers. I’m Hua Nuan."

Hua Nuan’s poised and elegant deanor left the board mbers exchanging glances, evidently surprised by her sudden appearance.

Watching them whispering quietly, Hua Nuan pursed her lips, took Huo Zun’s arm with her small hand, and faced the crowd together.

"Why are you here?"

"Oh, after visiting the lab, I wanted to find out where you were..."

So, I ca here guided by love.

Seeing the smile in Hua Nuan’s beautiful eyes, Huo Zun’s thin lips curled upward as warmth filled his heart.

"Hmm."

The board mbers were taken aback by Hua Nuan’s appearance, their expressions changing slightly.

They had always known Huo Zun had a young and charming wife.

Seeing her today, she indeed was quite striking.

"So, it’s Mrs. Huo."

"Indeed..."

The crowd plastered flattering smiles on their faces, while Hua Nuan faintly curled her lips.

"I’m here to support my husband. I believe that in the lab, we shouldn’t just stop at Western dicine research. It’s ti to explore traditional Chinese dicine as well, and integrating Chinese dicine would be beneficial."

Hua Nuan’s words were firm and unquestionable.

The woman stood with the man, their presence commanding and natural.

Huo Zun looked at the crowd indifferently and said, "There’s no need to discuss this with them. My decisions are just a notification to them."

The implication was clear—there was no need for useless chatter.

Hua Nuan: "..."

Isn’t that being a bit too domineering?

Inwardly, Hua Nuan was sowhat disdainful of Huo Zun, then she softly said, "Sotis it’s good to be a bit more democratic, just for appearances’ sake; there’s no need to be so autocratic."

"Hmm."

Huo Zun pressed his thin lips together, looked at the crowd, and questioned,

"Do any of you have objections?"

"Well..."

The crowd exchanged glances, hesitating.

Under Huo Zun’s intimidation, they didn’t dare voice any opposition.

Watching the crowd’s reaction, Hua Nuan smiled briefly.

"Both Huo Zun and I are Chinese and deeply love our local culture, so we wanted to recomnd traditional Chinese dicine to you all."

Speaking softly, Hua Nuan continued, "Regarding Western dicine, patients may have a series of antibody reactions and many side effects after taking it. Although it must be acknowledged that Western dicine is fast-acting, directly treating through the bloodstream, Chinese culture of five thousand years and traditional Chinese dicine have been treating our people for years. Although traditional Chinese dicine may not be as fast-acting, rest assured there are no side effects because the effects are mild."

Seeing their hesitation, Hua Nuan pressed her lips together thoughtfully.

"Huo Zun’s advocacy for adding traditional Chinese dicine research isn’t to negate Western dicine research. Actually, I think integrating both would be better, as complenting each other is important."

"Mrs. Huo, saying this without any evidence, how can we trust you?"

"Yes, investing in traditional Chinese dicine research could harm our interests."

"Exactly, if things go wrong, it could be quite problematic."

The crowd busily discussed among themselves while Hua Nuan pulled her lips into a faint smile.

Ha...

Sotis, having too many stubborn old-tirs isn’t a good thing.

Sotis, being as assertive and forceful as Huo Zun is necessary.

"Well, since you have doubts, may I invite you to participate in an experint?"

"Sure..."

Jerry hesitated for a mont upon hearing Hua Nuan’s words, but he still bravely stepped on stage.

"Well done, thank you."

...

After Jerry got on stage, Hua Nuan picked up a glass of water nearby, then took a few tissues, pursed her lips, and said,

"May I ask your na, sir?"

"Jerry."

"Well, you don’t look very well, and your muscles are tight. Does your neck usually feel uncomfortable?"

"Yes, it’s an occupational hazard."

Hua Nuan smiled slightly. So people always keep their heads down, and over ti, their spines get strained, and their muscles get injured.

Therefore, appropriate exercise or anti-inflammatory dication can alleviate muscle discomfort.

"Well, let recomnd a Chinese redy that can be very effective. Mr. Jerry, are you interested in learning about it?"

The other board mbers whispered to one another upon hearing Hua Nuan’s words, unsure of her background.

Huo Zun narrowed his blue eyes, equally curious and intrigued by Hua Nuan’s actions.

This girl always has a lot of tricks, catching people off guard.

"Yes, I am."

Jerry agreed gladly. Hua Nuan then held out her small hand, playing with the tissues in her palm, and said playfully, "It’s really beautiful tissue paper, very nice to the touch, very soft. Here, Mr. Jerry, feel it."

"Okay."

Jerry raised his hand to touch it and hesitated, looking at Hua Nuan, unsure of what she was trying to do.

"Well, now touch this glass. The water is gone; simply put, it’s a glass cup."

"Okay."

Jerry touched it next, even more puzzled about what it was for.

Hua Nuan smiled and looked at Huo Zun beside her, speaking gently: "Huo Zun, honey, do you have a lighter? Can I borrow it?"

"Sorry, I don’t have one."

Because he was with Hua Nuan, who used to smoke, Huo Zun rarely smoked to avoid her inhaling secondhand smoke.

Naturally, he didn’t carry a lighter.

Huo Zun raised his brows at his assistant beside him, indicating for the man to hand over the lighter.

Hua Nuan took the lighter from Huo Zun’s hand and then lit the white paper in her hand.

As Hua Nuan lit the paper in her hand, it was the first ti soone set fire so openly in the eting room.

Everyone was even more curious about what Hua Nuan was going to do, their curiosity piqued just like that.

Hua Nuan chuckled, looking at Jerry’s slightly trembling appearance, and asked, "Mr. Jerry, would you like to see this fire on you?"

Jerry hesitated upon hearing this, trembling, "Mrs. Huo, that’s not a good idea..."

"Give it a try; you’ll find it’s nothing major."

Then Hua Nuan, with surprising speed, lit the tissue paper in her hand and threw it into the glass, though it landed on Jerry’s neck.

Because it was inverted, the oxygen in the glass quickly burned out.

With the change in air pressure in the glass, when Hua Nuan took the gradually cooling glass off, a red mark appeared on Jerry’s neck.

Everyone was even more curious, not understanding.

"Don’t be anxious, everyone; the ga is still going."

Hua Nuan soothed the crowd’s emotions while continuing with her actions, her lips curving in the sa way as she perford the sa on Jerry.

Half an hour later, Hua Nuan took a look at the several circular marks left on Jerry’s neck.

"Alright, Mr. Jerry, stand up for a mont."

"Okay."

"Try raising your head, tilting your head back, and see if you feel better. Your whole body should feel less sore, and your muscles less tense."

Jerry, still a bit unaccustod, tilted his head awkwardly upon hearing Hua Nuan’s words. Then he spoke joyfully.

"Yes, really, it feels much better."

Everyone was even more confused and muddled.

Hua Nuan chuckled and then said with a smile, "Actually, what I just did, in Chinese, is known as cupping therapy, where the principle is largely the pressure difference, which helps discharge stagnant blood and other substances within the body."

Having said that, Hua Nuan softly explained, "In China, many people like cupping therapy. It is beneficial for everyone of all ages, especially for neck and other issues."

Continuing from there, Hua Nuan added, "Not only that, this is just the most basic physical therapy. In China, chemical therapy, aning dications, etc., is more prevalent. I hope everyone will give so ti. I’ll gradually prove it to you all."

"I hope everyone can support Huo Zun’s decision. If you try to understand Chinese herbal dicine culture, trust , you will be amazed because the fusion of Chinese and Western dicine works far beyond your imagination."

"Thank you all."

Upon finishing, Hua Nuan bowed to express her gratitude and courtesy.

The crowd exchanged hesitant glances upon hearing Hua Nuan’s words, thinking silently about what to do as they glanced at Huo Zun’s cold blue eyes.

First, courtesy before force.

Huo Zun did not intend to waste many words with the crowd.

With his cold blue eyes scanning everyone, Huo Zun said curtly, "It’s getting late. Regardless of whether you have any objections, you may all dismiss. As the highest decision-maker, I am here primarily to inform you, not to seek your opinions."

Hua Nuan: "..."

Do you have to be so aloof, hubby?

Feeling a bit of disdain in her heart, Hua Nuan pursed her lips and said, "Actually, making money together is beneficial. Trust in Huo Zun’s market intuition; it’s important."
