Atticus moved to his elents next. His gaze paused on the fusion energy of the four base elents.

'I wonder what'll happen if I give it a na.'

The question marks had always bothered him. No matter how many tis he saw them, they looked wrong, like what they represented didn't have purpose yet.

Still, he was curious. What would change if he nad it? He had never tried to converse with the system before and didn't even know if it was sentient.

But he decided to shelve the thought for later and focused back on assessing his status.

He noted the change in proficiency. Given how often he'd used them during the recent battles, it was expected.

His eyes drifted lower, landing on the still-stagnant numbers of his other elental affinities, all capped at 80%.

Now that there was finally a mont to breathe, Atticus knew it was ti to begin working on them. Ti to connect with each elent, find the emotions that resonated, and push past the cap.

He ntally made a note to train them later and kept scrolling through, until his eyes froze on one section.

There, in the level one elents category.

Last ti he checked, it had been blank. But now… Atticus' eyes glead as he saw a new entry.

'Blood elent.'

Excitent surged through him. He had been anticipating this one for the longest ti.

He'd gained it ever since that fight with Jezenet. And now, finally, it was unlocked.

'It's probably because of that…'

Just like with his other elents, unlocking them had always required imrsion, living and breathing the elent. But blood had been trickier.

To connect with blood, he needed an absurd amount of it. But how? Was he supposed to cause a massacre and bathe in the blood of his enemies?

No matter how ridiculous it sounded… that's exactly what he had done.

'The Zorvan world.'

He had unleashed carnage upon that world. Slaughtered their people without restraint. It was clear, that was the trigger.

Atticus resisted the urge to test out the blood elent now and forced himself to move on. But not even a second passed before he stopped again.

Another entry. Another new elent.

'Nature elent?'

It didn't take him long to figure out where it ca from.

'Definitely during the fights.'

The battle had been too intense to notice his mana core ranking up when it happened, but the source of this was clear.

He'd been exposed to the Gardener's power, the Twins of Bloom and Blight, and even Whisker's. They may have had different concepts of power, but all of it fell under the sa will: nature's will.

'Just like what happened last ti…'

Previously, it had been spiritual will. Now, nature's will. The pattern was repeating itself.

But Atticus wasn't complaining. If it ant more strength, it was welco.

'I wonder if it'll have the sa effect.'

His spiritual will had granted him a whole new reservoir of power, boosting him to levels beyond what his mana alone could reach. If nature will did sothing similar…

Another surge in power might just be on the horizon.

He scrolled further, moving into the arts section and taking note of the changes there. His eyes paused briefly on Ethereal Cloak, still sitting at Grandmaster in mastery.

'That's as far as it can go.'

Its cap was simply tied to the rank of the technique itself. It was an Empowered-level art, so it couldn't advance past Grandmaster.

But in truth, Atticus rarely used it anymore, especially now with his darkness elent and the techniques tied to his evolving race abilities.

He skimd through the changes in his racial techniques, noting a few subtle improvents. Then finally, his attention landed on the evergrowing list of abilities he'd obtained from the race cores.

They were starting to pile up.

He hadn't even begun properly training most of them yet. He didn't know where to start, but even so, they were a sight to behold. Just looking at them, Atticus couldn't help but feel a deep anticipation rise within him.

There were still more cores to absorb. More abilities to unlock.

And when that ti ca… he'd be ready.

After going through all his changes, Atticus was thoroughly satisfied.

Now, he turned to the next thing on his agenda, sothing he'd been feeling for a while now. A pull. A call. One that he couldn't help but greatly anticipate.

His katana.

'It's calling .'

Atticus couldn't help the smile that appeared on his lips.

It couldn't be helped. His katana calling out to him could only an one thing.

'The Fifth Art.'

It was ti to learn the fifth art of the katana.

'You fool. You forget that you almost died during the last one,' Ozeroth said, clearly confused as to why Atticus was excited.

'Big risk for bigger rewards.'

'Not if those risks don't need to be taken in the first place!'

Atticus raised a brow. 'What's this about?'

He couldn't quite wrap his head around it. Ozeroth, of all people, warning him about taking risks?

'…'

The silence spoke volus. Atticus thought for a mont, then his eyes narrowed slightly.

'Don't tell … is it because we won't be taking the trial together?'

'…'

Still no response. But Atticus knew that was the case.

He smiled. 'You're worried about .'

'What!? Why the hell would I be worried about you! You could jump off a cliff for all I care. It's your life.'

Atticus laughed at Ozeroth's exaggerated outburst.

"Kuu…"

A sleepy noise ca from above as Noctis stirred awake, still perched on Atticus' head. The little guy let out a soft yawn and stretched his limbs, rubbing one eye with his paw.

"Ozzy?" he mumbled, half asleep.

'Tch.' Ozeroth clicked his tongue, clearly not in the mood.

"Don't worry about him, Noctis. It's just that ti of the month for him," Atticus said, lifting Noctis from his head and gently rubbing his arms against the little one's chubby cheeks.

Noctis' tail wagged quickly, full of delight.

Atticus could instantly feel a wave of seething rage from Ozeroth, but the spirit stayed silent.

He sighed.

Typical Ozeroth.
