"We need to visit the willess world."
Atticus gave Whisker a long stare.
"The willess world?"
"Yep."
Atticus frowned.
"The sa world where we can’t use our will?"
"Yep."
Atticus gave Whisker a deadpan look. The man didn’t seem to have seen a problem with this ’plan,’ if he could even call it that. Atticus decided to spell it out.
"That sounds like a bad idea."
Whisker tilted his head, finally realizing. "Ah yes yes, it’s going to be dangerous, but very much needed. You asked for a way to speeden up the process, and I’m giving you one."
"To think you called yourself the best teacher in the world."
Whisker smiled and shalessly nodded. "Didn’t you know? The best teachers have their thods. Mine just so happen to be dangerous." He winked.
"You’re shaless."
Whisker cleared his throat. "I call it being unapologetically brilliant."
Atticus shook his head and sighed, running a hand through his silk white hair. He was taken aback by the gesture. When last had he done this? It felt human. Weird.
’It’s been all about training and getting stronger.’
It wasn’t wrong. But when that had been his entire focus for years now, it made small things like this seem... weird.
Atticus smiled at Whisker. He had to admit, the man had a way of frustrating the seriousness out of you.
"So..." he finally said. "The willess world. Isn’t that dangerous? There’s no will, right? Do the Verge rules even apply there?"
"Not exactly." Whisker held his chin. "There’re laws there, but enforced by a different body."
"Who?"
"The Willguard."
Atticus’ eyes sharpened. He’d read about them at the library. "The police force?"
Whisker squinted at Atticus. "I see you’ve found another information source, a boring one I’m sure. Looks like you don’t need old Pounce anymore. Hmph."
"I thought only ladies call you that?"
"That’s right." He suddenly smiled. "I think our relationship has evolved to that point."
"I think not."
Whisker was about to respond when Atticus waved, wanting to change the disturbing topic.
"I read about them at the library. Are they people we should be worried about?"
"Considering what we’re going to do, yes."
Atticus frowned. "You’re making it sound like we’re going to do sothing illegal."
"Making it sound...?" Whisker laughed. "It’s , what were you expecting? Besides, it’s not illegal if we don’t get caught, right?"
"Right..." Atticus sighed, deciding not to bother.
"How do we defend ourselves? Can we use mana?"
Whisker nodded. "There’s mana, but its density isn’t nearly as high as here. Also, it’s not like we can’t use our will, we just need... diums to use it."
Atticus’ curiosity was piqued in an instant. He listened carefully as Whisker began explaining everything.
Soon enough, they both appeared back on his training continent, having gone through most of the details.
’It’s going to get more troubleso soon.’ Atticus sighed, landing on the ground.
He would love nothing more than to spend all his ti on Eldoralth training and then participate in the Ascension Gas when it was ti. But it seed the universe was set on not making that a reality.
Atticus fixed his eyes on the Eldorians. They’d gone silent and were all staring at him.
"Are you ready?"
They each gave him a firm nod, so even unleashing their aura for added confidence. But Atticus wasn’t convinced.
’It shouldn’t matter for now,’ Atticus thought to himself. He’d already decided on the next course of action, now he just had to make sure the Eldorians awakened their wills soon.
"Alright."
Atticus reached inwardly. He felt the connection instantly. The enormous world.
Atticus didn’t waste ti and called for it. The next scene occurred differently to the people present.
The Eldorians felt the heavy weight of the plane will intensify to such unbearable levels that their vision went dark for a mont. They lost consciousness.
Whisker and Ozeroth felt the heavy weight, but were unfazed. To them it only seed like mild discomfort. The world outside was a blur.
The people on Eldoralth were like the Eldorians. The visions of many had turned black, and their consciousness gone.
However, Atticus’ experience was different. He saw everything occur in slow motion.
’We’re moving up.’ He realized. Instead of the world coming down to rge with Eldoralth, they were heading towards it instead.
Their current speed was hard to fathom, and Atticus couldn’t help but realize just how far the worlds were apart. It seed as though they were close, but were farther apart than anyone would realize.
Because of the sudden ascension, the effects of the plane will had spiked. Atticus glanced at the Eldorians and then the world.
They had all fallen unconscious because of the sudden spike. He could imagine why.
’It’s not every ti a newly ascending god kills a higher rank one.’
It was unusual for worlds to ascend with such speed. Confirming none of their lives were threatened, Atticus focused on the outside world.
As they moved, they passed by different worlds and he couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction at not being at the bottom any longer.
Atticus glanced up.
’There it is.’
He saw a large world. It radiated crimson light that almost resembled the sun. It looked like they might get seared just by going close to it. But Atticus only smiled.
That large inferno was his world now.
The two worlds rged. In all honesty, due to the major size difference, it was akin to a small bubble rging with an enormous one.
The larger one barely moved as Eldoralth rged with it. Regardless, the changes that occurred were felt by all.
Atticus felt his reach expand to insane levels. Levels one could only dream about. He had thought Eldoralth big, but now he realized that it truly wasn’t. Eldoralth was tiny compared to this.
’It’s insane.’
He’d confird it before, Nerrot’s world was about as big as seven and a half minor worlds. Which ant, right now, Atticus had nine minor ranked worlds under his belt.
