An incalculable number of slashes filled the air and blazed toward Raziel.
"This again!"
Raziel frowned. He waved his arm and the air around him grew heavy. But as the slashes reached him, his eyes constricted. None of them were affected by the weight!
"Immovable Wall!"
He raised both arms and a darkened barrier ford around him just as the slashes struck. They detonated in a wave of searing energy that consud the skies.
'What just happened?'
Raziel waved his arms and blasted the haze apart. The temperature spiked. He spun, and saw Atticus appearing behind him in a blaze of dark crimson, katana flashing down.
"Absolute Weight."
Raziel roared, and his Will descended. But a mont later, his eyes narrowed to slits.
Atticus was unaffected.
'How?'
Raziel moved, evading the series of slashes that tore through the skies. His power affected anything that bore even the slightest weight. The slashes, though made from energy and Will, should have weight. Or else how could they physically affect him? That they remained untouched by his Will was impossible.
As more barrage ca, Raziel studied them and frowned.
'It's his Will.'
Atticus' Will was sohow influencing him and his attacks.
'They have no weight.'
But how was that possible? The only way sothing like this would happen was if it was Atticus' Will imposition on the world. But it wasn't. Raziel was sure his Will was ant to burn, not turn weightless.
'A Will Art?'
Raziel's eyes widened in shock.
What were the odds of learning an art perfect for this battle? Raziel didn't believe it likely. Will Arts were learned based on necessity. A strong attack, great defense. No one would waste ti learning an art that made them weightless or else it served them. Which brought him back to his shock.
'He just learned it now.'
Atticus had figured out how his ability worked, and had suddenly created an art that better combated it.
That soone would be capable of doing such was insane. Will Arts took ti. Ti to define the process, to learn and get used to it. Creating and using a new will art during battle was as crazy as it was impossible. Yet, Raziel was sure it just occurred. 'He's crazy.'
As he scarcely evaded another barrage of attacks, Raziel found himself grinning.
'My heart's pounding…'
When last had he felt this during battle? When last had soone pushed him to such extres!
"Hahaha!"
He burst into a crazed laughter and locked eyes with Atticus.
'He's still in Logoth.'
Even now, Atticus' eyes appeared emotionless. He hadn't even glanced at the champion going after Magnus.
'He's trying to kill .'
Logoth cut out all the noise and focused on the goal. Rather than stupidly trying to go after the champion, he would kill its god and get rid of the threat. Raziel's eyes blazed.
"Try it if you can!"
His dark Will flared fiercely and his eyes flashed purple. His Will condensed into a long staff that made the air tremble.
He thrust it out just as Atticus' katana descended, and their collision birthed a shockwave so intense debris blasted past the city and into the forest.
Atticus shot back in a blur of crimson.
'Heavy.'
His eyes narrowed as Raziel appeared above him, staff already slamming down.
Atticus brought his blade up to et it, and the impact unleashed a blast of wind that hurled him downward.
A burst of energy exploded from his back, stopping his fall, but Raziel appeared like a phantom before he could react, unleashing multiple thrusts that split the air.
Atticus evaded and evaded, each strike sending out a force that shook the earth.
Atticus narrowed his eyes.
'He's gotten faster.'
He had figured out how his Will worked. It affected anything that had weight, and so he'd made himself and his attacks weightless to circumvent the power. But this was far from being the only issue.
Raziel had condensed his Will to his current staff. Each strike felt like he'd just collided with a planet. Still, there were more pressing matters. 'He's still absorbing my Will.'
Raziel's movents had begun to flicker and blaze like fire. Though they were nowhere close to Atticus' unpredictability and speed, it was gradually climbing.
'A drawn out battle would be a mistake.'
He was steadily losing Will. Soon enough, Raziel would begin to overpower him.
'I have to kill him now.'
No more holding back. No more analyzing. No more thinking. His next course of action was clear: go all out and kill.
"What's wrong! Is that all you have!?"
Atticus spun and evaded the sweeping staff that whizzed past him with such force that it earth and whipped his hair. His eyes flashed crimson, then gold, then purple.
"Fusion."
Raziel's staff burst through Atticus as his body shifted into the four basic elents and dispersed into the air.
His eyes narrowed to slits.
'Where is he?'
Atticus appeared by his side, dark crimson energy trailing in his wake. Raziel's staff flashed up as Atticus' katana dropped, and their clash detonated in an explosion of force. But Raziel's eyes widened a heartbeat later as a dark crimson wave spread out from Atticus and surged toward him.
'A new elent?'
Another shock stabbed through him. The elents were fundantal; combining even two was sothing only the gifted could achieve. But this…
'He combined four.'
His instincts scread.
'It's dangerous.'
Raziel shot back, creating distance, but his eyes sharpened a mont later.
'My speed.'
He had suddenly grown slower.
'What's that cold?'
He could feel a formless energy in the air, acting directly on him. Slowing his movents, even his perception.
13:06
'Another new elent?'
This one was different from the earlier fusion. A new combination of elents! Raziel's eyes shook.
'What is this?'
"Fusion."
Another force crushed into him, and Raziel felt a wave of disconnect between himself and his Will.
Without realizing it, he slipped out of Logoth. Emotion returned to his eyes.
'Another one!'
Three fusions. Three new elents. What the hell was going on?
But he had no ti to think. Atticus' words froze the world.
"Vorpal Nova."
A crescent slash that split the heavens appeared, screaming toward him.
