Suddenly, Atticus exhaled slowly, his mind moving.
Ever since entering the First Crown and defeating the reverent, sothing had been bothering him about how power functioned within the Crown.
It was almost identical to the Span, with one slight difference.
The asure of will force remained the sa. The more gods one absorbed, the stronger one's will beca. However, within the Crown, this seed to affect the vastness and bountifulness of one's will far more than its actual strength.
During the battle against the reverents, he had witnessed just how heavily the Plane Will restricted those without True Wills. Despite possessing as many worlds and as much force as the others, their powers had still fallen short.
With this, Atticus had determined sothing important.
What truly determined strength within the Crown… was the quality of will.
Soone at a higher level could unleash a vaster will than his. However, that did not an that once their wills clashed against a True Willer, they would win.
The quality of will…
This was the true determiner of power within the Crown, and clearly why Truebloods and Reverents held dominion. Suddenly, Atticus closed his eyes. He activated Omnicognition before syncing into Ozeroth's mories. Within them, an endless number of Will Arts unfolded across his mind.
He narrowed in on one.
Then, in the very next mont, under Unive's hesitant gaze, Atticus vanished.
Unive's eyes widened. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't find him.
What… what the hell is he?
…
Above the volcanic region, frowns spread across the faces of the Executioners.
"There's no one here. Is that brat screwing with us?" Blazing fire raged around the Redfla god as he growled.
"…I doubt it." The Abyss god shook his head. "He may be part of the Mosan family, but we've carved our nas into the First Crown itself. He knows better than to toy with us."
"Then where the hell is he?" the Redfla snapped back.
"…maybe he simply hasn't arrived yet." The Nature faction god said after a mont. "We only got here this quickly because of our powers. He should still be weaker than us, rember?"
"That's true." The Abyss god nodded.
"Or what do you think? You should know him best." The Nature god turned toward the Spirit god, who had remained silent the entire ti.
As all eyes settled on him, the Spirit god rely gave a faint nod.
"…I only follow the will of my king. Atticus Ravenstein will die by my blade."
"Tch… this king obsession again." The Redfla clicked his tongue. "Listen carefully. That stupid brat dies by my hand. He'll pay for everything he's done to Redfla."
"Do not speak carelessly about my king."
"Or what?"
The two locked eyes as tension rapidly rose between them. However, a stern voice suddenly cut through the atmosphere.
"That's enough." The Willguard spoke, his heavy aura engulfing the surrounding space. "We're all here for the sa purpose, the execution of the criminal Atticus Ravenstein. We're on the sa side. Don't forget that."
The Redfla clicked his tongue and looked away. Though the Spirit god's fierce gaze lingered for a mont longer, he eventually nodded and settled his power.
"Good." The Willguard gave a firm nod. "The most likely explanation is that he simply hasn't arrived yet. So we'll wait—"
The Willguard suddenly jerked his head backward.
Slash!
Yet despite the sudden movent, the blade still sliced through a large portion of his neck. Golden blood sprayed across the air, and within its backdrop lay the trembling gaze of the Willguard.
"W-what…?"
The air beside him suddenly rippled.
From it, a white-haired figure materialized, his detached ocean-blue gaze enough to freeze worlds.
"Atticus Ravenstein!"
The eyes of the remaining gods widened to their limits.
None of them had sensed him!
"You're dead." Steam burst from the Redfla's mouth as he growled. "Phoenix Fire."
His body erupted into a violent storm of blue flas. It surged into the sky before blasting outward in every direction, sending the surrounding temperature soaring to unbearable levels. The next mont, the flas fired back and condensed around his body in a cloak of bluish fire.
An inferno burned within his eyes as he shot forward. His speed was so terrifying it appeared as though he had teleported directly before Atticus. His fist, wrapped in bluish flas, drove toward Atticus like a descending teor.
In response, purple light flickered through Atticus's irises as he evoked.
"Absolute Domain."
A purple trench coat flared around Atticus' body, countless lights flickering through his gaze. His katana blurred upward, slashing directly toward the incoming punch.
"RAZE NO!" The Willguard's eyes tore wide as he tried to warn the Redfla, but it was already too late.
The attacks collided in a flash of light.
Yet the expected shockwave never ca.
Instead, Atticus' katana sliced cleanly through the attack in a single sweep.
For a mont, ti itself seed to freeze.
Then, a thin line slowly stretched from the Redfla's fist through the center of his body.
The Redfla blinked.
"…what?"
His body split cleanly into two equal halves the next mont, crimson blood splattering across the skies.
The gazes of the remaining gods trembled.
What… what had just happened…?
A suddenly shout shattered the silence. "Fist of Judgnt!"
A pillar of light tore upward from the Willguard and pierced the heavens. In the next instant, a blanket of golden radiance engulfed the entire sky.
But it was violently split apart the following mont as a massive fist ca plumting downward.
A blast rippled from Atticus as he calmly sheathed his blade and entered a stance.
"Vorpal Nova."
His blade left the sheath once more.
An incalculable number of slashes erupted around him before converging into a single crescent slash that tore toward the descending fist.
The attacks collided in a cataclysmic explosion of light and force. Golden and crimson radiance swallowed the entire sky as the atmosphere instantly descended into chaos.
Within the storm of destruction, Atticus suddenly spun and thrust forward with all his might.
A giant serpent of darkness surging toward him was pierced apart in an instant.
His detached gaze pierced through the haze and locked onto the Abyss god hovering in the distance. The latter's eyes narrowed into slits.
"Ancestral Beast."
A gigantic purple beast tore through the haze and surged toward Atticus.
Then, from below, an endless army of roots erupted upward from every direction, piercing toward him.
Atticus' gaze narrowed. More lights flickered through his eyes as his figure blurred, evading the massive beast.
His movents dissolved into countless afterimages as each of the roots tore harmlessly past him.
The next mont, he appeared in the distance, his cold gaze fixed ahead.
A violent blast rippled through the haze, clearing it apart.
Hovering amidst the chaotic skies, the now four major faction gods stared at Atticus with slowly widening eyes.
