Soul out of body.

This was not an exaggeration, but a straightforward narration; just as the words implied, his soul had left his body, separating into two distinct parts!

Kahn stared blankly at his sowhat transparent soul, then at his motionless body in front of him.

Who am I?

Where am I?

What am I doing?

What does this an?

Did ditating too much make transcend?

This is just ridiculous.

Kahn couldn't spare a mont to appreciate the wonder of moving freely as a soul; he frantically searched his mind for any useful mories, his heart filled with anxiety.

He knew that in all the stories he had heard across both his lives, a soul being involuntarily separated from its body was rarely a good thing.

What's more, he had read in books that this world seed to have spirits.

What if he happened to run into so spirit guardians and they took his life?

He certainly didn't have the power to cause a ruckus in the Spirit World!

However, the result of his contemplation was not optimistic; he found no solution for this situation.

But fortunately, he found so related mories:

He had left his body due to ditation, and he rembered that Iroh had recently said sothing puzzling about ditation.

Perhaps Iroh would know sothing.

When in doubt, find Iroh.

This was an absolute truth he had realized after living in this world for several years.

Iroh, always the best!

At this ti, Iroh had not gone out and was currently taking a nap in his room.

So Kahn headed straight for Iroh's room.

As he was about to push the door open, his hands went straight through it, causing him to stumble and almost fall.

Normally, he might have been curious enough to explore, but he had no such inclination now.

Although he didn't know if his voice could still be heard by others in his soul state, he still tried to shout loudly, attempting to wake Iroh.

"Uncle Iroh! Uncle Iroh!"

"Can you hear ?!"

"Hello?!"

Under Kahn's frantic shouting, Iroh couldn't help but frown, groggily propping himself up from the bed.

Before even opening his eyes, he first admonished Kahn:

"Disturbing an old man's sleep is not a good habit, you know."

"Why is your soul out of your body?"

Seeing Kahn's appearance, Iroh smiled.

Ignoring Iroh's laughter, his reaction alone was enough to reassure Kahn.

"You can see directly?"

"Of course."

At this point, Iroh was fully awake.

After a brief thought, he deduced the whole story and said with a calm smile:

"Did you overdo it with ditation?"

Iroh's calm expression and words finally put him at ease.

Since Iroh knew what was happening, it shouldn't be a big problem.

But Iroh's statent...

"ditating too much causes your soul to leave your body?"

Kahn's eyelid twitched.

This was too bizarre.

"Hahaha, just ditating certainly wouldn't, but if it's Spiritbending, then it's different."

Iroh laughed.

As early as when he speculated that Kahn's spiritual power might be unusual, he had a premonition that such a situation might arise in the future, and it had indeed co true today.

Moreover, his previous speculation was indeed correct; although Kahn's soul was also translucent, it was considerably more solid than his own.

Kahn followed Iroh back to the courtyard.

Iroh instructed Kahn to sit cross-legged and overlap with his body, then guided him:

"Calm your mind, return to a ditative state, imagine yourself floating in the air, then slowly descending to the ground, feeling the earth again…"

Kahn followed the guidance.

Soon after, he opened his eyes again and successfully returned to his body.

Iroh is always the best!

Kahn felt relieved, but he didn't forget everything he had seen and heard just now.

He imdiately grew curious and asked Iroh:

"What exactly happened just now?"

"And what is this Spiritbending you ntioned?"

Iroh stroked his long beard and said:

"Well, it's a long story…"

"Give the short version!"

Kahn understood perfectly, quickly prepared fruits, snacks, tea, and sat down obediently.

He loved listening to Iroh tell old legends, especially when those legends were likely true history.

"Legend has it that long, long ago, before there was an Avatar, and before there were the Four Arts of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire and their benders, Spiritbending was the only bending art humans mastered…"

"…Spiritbending, aning the art of bending spirits, and 'spirit' refers to the mind, the soul, and even higher beings."

"All things possess a spirit."

When ntioning Spiritbending, one cannot help but ntion spirits, and among them, the strongest—

Higher spirits.

All things have spirits, not just living beings like humans and animals, but even every blade of grass, every tree, every mountain, and every river possesses a spirit.

Higher spirits, however, are different from others; they are innate spirits without any material vessel.

They do not age, and they are the oldest and most powerful beings in this world.

Legend has it that in ancient tis, before there was an Avatar and before the Four Arts existed, the world was dominated by spirits.

Humans could only barely survive under the protection of so benevolent spirits.

And Spiritbending was the only ans for humans to communicate with them at that ti.

Later, the knowledge of the Four Arts spread among humans, and spirits gradually withdrew from the mortal world.

Humans, led by the Avatar, beca the masters of the world through the Four Arts, while Spiritbending gradually declined due to its extrely low awakening rate and the hidden nature of spirits.

"Spiritbending, the oldest bending art, the original bending art."

As the story ended, Kahn's thoughts also drifted away from that ancient era where spirits were everywhere and humanity was weak.

Because of this, he now had a different sentint toward Spiritbending.

At the sa ti, he asked with so anticipation:

"So, my situation just now ans I awakened Spiritbending?"

"Haha, not only did you awaken Spiritbending, but you also successfully perford the soul-out-of-body technique upon awakening!"

Iroh's teasing made Kahn's smile freeze.

That was not a pleasant experience.

However, from the series of events just now, Iroh had clearly also awakened Spiritbending.

Because ordinary people or benders cannot see souls; this is an exclusive ability of a Spiritbender.

Although the recent out-of-body experience wasn't so pleasant, upon careful reflection, there were quite a few remarkable aspects worth ntioning.

Moreover, since the ability had already awakened, not using it would be a waste, so—

"Uncle Iroh, that Spiritbending seems very interesting…"

Looking at Kahn, Iroh chuckled as he rubbed his head, saying with a laugh:

"If you want to learn, I can certainly teach you."

"That's great!"

At this, Kahn hugged his "thick thigh" and once again uttered that classic line:

Iroh, always the best!
