Daniel explained his plan to them. It wasn’t anything too complicated or difficult.
His idea was to use the followers of the faith as soldiers to fight against the demon army. It was the only way they could win against the demons.
There were millions of believers in this city—even if only a small percentage of them joined, the numbers would still be huge and definitely helpful.
Of course, he had other intentions too, which he didn’t need to say out loud. He wanted to use the Mark of Death again, so that with every demon killed—whether by the believers or his Fallen—he could gain EXP.
But there were things to consider. Killing demons wasn’t easy. Not at all. And he doubted the followers would even be able to kill a single one.
"It’s a good idea, but is it even possible? How are they going to kill demons?" Evangelin was the first to break the silence and ask.
The three Paragons looked at her, then at Daniel. It was obvious they had the sa question.
"Actually, I do have a way. But we’ll need weapons. A lot of weapons."
"I can take care of the weapon issue... but this might cause the death of many believers. Is it really the only way?" Evern said, a bit hesitant.
Daniel was surprised by his words. He really hadn’t expected this guy to care about the lives of the followers.
"There’s no other way. If we don’t do this, the entire Holy City will be destroyed."
The Paragons exchanged another look. The atmosphere in the entire hall was suffocating.
In the end, there was no choice but to sigh. They had no other options. Just as their new leader had said—if they didn’t do this, the Holy City would fall.
And if the Holy City fell, the entire Eternity Faith would collapse.
"Then we’ll go and tell the people to gather for a speech," Evangelin said, and left with Abraham and Velmiran.
Daniel wanted to speak to the followers himself. He was sure if he left it to those idiots, everyone would run away.
Evern also left to gather the guards and collect the weapons Daniel had told him they’d need.
After everyone was gone, Daniel leaned back in his chair and sighed. He didn’t want to do this either. His plan would definitely cause the death of many followers.
But what else could he do? Besides, in the end, all of this was just a simulation. None of it was real.
"So this is the event that leads to the destruction of the Eternity Faith, huh? An army of demons attacks and destroys the Holy City... and probably one of the Paragons is a traitor helping them," he muttered to himself.
Still, there were things that didn’t make sense. Like he said—there were millions of followers in this city.
Killing all of them wouldn’t be easy. Not even for an army of demons. The followers would definitely resist or escape. As long as even one follower of the Eternity Faith existed, the faith would live on.
"Sothing else must’ve happened too... Wait—what about Malrik? His goal is also to destroy the Eternity Faith. If I weren’t here, it ans he actually succeeded in reaching the Holy City." He frowned.
He thought he was completing the damn puzzle, but now he realized many pieces were still missing.
"And the Prophet said he knew everything but still couldn’t interfere. What has the power to stop a Prophet who’s a peak demigod?" Even he didn’t know.
Maybe the gods? But why would the gods want that?
He felt a bit of a headache and decided to stop thinking about it for now. He got up and went back to his room.
As he stepped through the threshold, he returned to the sa library again. He looked around.
He really didn’t want to lose this place. The reason he ca back was to see if there was a way he could take it with him.
Unfortunately, no matter how hard he searched, in the end, he couldn’t find a way. It looked like this library wasn’t ant to leave the second floor of the tower.
Seeing there was no way, he took the four books he had already read and stored them in his inventory.
Then, after saying goodbye to the library, he left and exited the church. Imdiately upon leaving, he saw a massive crowd gathered around the church.
He flew up into the sky above them, positioning himself so that he could see everyone—and everyone could see him.
There was a loud commotion, but the mont they saw him, everything went quiet.
Many of them already knew who he was, and many were seeing him for the first ti. But it didn’t matter which group they belonged to—just by seeing him, they instantly felt like they wanted to bow down and worship him.
Daniel could feel the excitent, reverence, and admiration in their eyes.
’I haven’t even used that skill yet... Could it be because of the Eternal Bloom?’ he wondered. The Eternal Bloom was growing stronger by the second.
From what he had understood, the flower was covering his entire body in a pure aura of Eternity.
"My beloved followers. Many of you know , and many have only heard of . I am the new leader of the Eternity Faith. The one chosen by the Divine Prophet to guide the entire faith toward glory and true eternity," he said, activating the [Enchanter of Hearts] skill.
Instantly, the crowd erupted with cheers and applause.
"We all desire for the Eternity Faith to beco the one true faith in this world. We all desire to receive the blessings of the great god Horvand. We all want to create an unprecedented era of glory for Eternity!"
Daniel could feel the flas of excitent burning in their eyes.
"But today, our greatest enemy—the vile and lowly demons—have realized our Prophet’s ascension. They think we’ve weakened. They believe this is the perfect mont to destroy us, and that’s why they’ve sent an army here."
"But they’re wrong! They don’t know that our unity is stronger than ever! We are soldiers who are about to forge a new era! An era where Eternity reigns!"
"The demons sent an army to destroy us and show their power to the world. But they don’t know—they are only the first stepping stones we’ll crush beneath our feet as we begin our era!"
"I ask for all your help! Let’s slaughter the demons together and show the world that it’s not just the Prophet who is the strength of the Eternity Faith—but each one of us is a pillar of this faith. And our unity is the power of our god!" he shouted.
The cheers and excitent reached a peak—it felt like they would tear the sky open.
Everyone raised their hands and chanted. Even Evangelin and the Paragons were stunned by the emotions they felt and the power of his speech.
But as they looked at the excited crowd, they sighed. These poor people didn’t know they were about to go into a suicidal battle... one where they had no chance of surviving.
"Who will join in destroying the demons?"
