Daniel was shocked to see how much Finn had grown in such a short ti. He didn’t really know how dragons developed, but his intuition told him that this definitely wasn’t a normal kind of growth.
The baby dragon had gone from being one-third his size to being twice as large in just a few weeks. If he kept growing at this rate, Daniel wouldn’t be able to hide him anymore.
He sighed, feeling a headache coming on. If things really continued like this, it would beco a serious problem, people might actually find out that he was hiding a dragon.
He still rembered how the Heavenly Kings were willing to fight each other for a single dragon egg, let alone a half-grown dragon that was probably even more valuable, assuming they dared to touch him.
Considering that hunting a dragon could provoke the wrath of the entire dragon race, they might not harm Finn directly, but they would definitely co after Daniel or use other thods to get the dragon from him.
Daniel looked at Finn and gently patted his head. He needed to figure sothing out soon. He wasn’t sure if he should start training him yet or not.
Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to take a look at his current abilities and stats first?
"Can you still make yourself smaller?" he asked after thinking for a mont.
Finn nodded, and his size suddenly changed back to what it had been a few weeks ago.
"Interesting. So you can even make yourself bigger, huh?" Daniel’s eyes glead. If this little dragon could freely change his size, wouldn’t that be amazing? He could continue hiding him without any problems.
But to his surprise, Finn shook his head, he couldn’t make himself larger than he currently was. Through their unique ntal link, he explained that he could only stay smaller for a limited amount of ti.
"That’s fine. As long as you can change your size and shape when we’re outside, that’s enough," Daniel said after thinking for a bit.
He doubted there would be any problems as long as they stayed within the central plains and the area under the Everlight Moon Guild’s control. No outside force would dare to co close to this place.
Still, he couldn’t stay here forever, he had too many things to deal with outside. Unfortunately, he couldn’t just leave Finn here alone either.
"Well, I guess I should extend the room for a while longer and buy you so at," he said as he glanced at the food he had left for the baby dragon. There wasn’t much left.
Finn didn’t really need at since he could directly absorb energy from the sky and earth to sustain himself. Still, he enjoyed the taste, so Daniel usually bought him so anyway.
After that, he got up to leave the room. He told Finn to stay put until he got back, but the dragon refused to be separated from him.
After all, he had been stuck in this room for a long ti and wanted to go outside for a bit.
"Then you’ll have to change your shape," Daniel sighed and finally gave in, agreeing to take him along.
Finn happily nodded and quickly transford into a majestic bird, landing on Daniel’s shoulder. Together, they left the room and headed toward the innkeeper.
"Ah, welco back, Mr. Daniel," the innkeeper greeted him respectfully.
"Well, I had so free ti and thought I’d drop by again," Daniel said casually.
"That’s wonderful. It’s an honor to have you here again," the man said with a smile. Daniel’s reputation within the Everlight Moon Guild was imnse, almost everyone knew who he was.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that his fa and popularity were on par with the young ladies Naya and Lana. So even respected him more than the two of them.
Naturally, the innkeeper was delighted to host soone so influential.
"Anyway, I’d like to extend the room for a bit longer," Daniel said with a small smile, taking out so gold coins from his inventory.
"Of course. Would you like to send maids to clean the room?"
"No need. Actually, I’d prefer if no one entered my room without my permission," Daniel replied calmly.
"Of course. As you requested, I haven’t allowed anyone to even approach your room during your absence," the innkeeper said seriously.
Daniel smiled and thanked him. He was about to leave to buy so food supplies when the man’s words made him stop.
"Ah, right. While you were gone, a young man ca here asking to see you. I told him you weren’t around, but he asked to let him know as soon as you returned."
"Soone’s been looking for ? A young man?" Daniel frowned. The only young man who might co searching for him was his friend from the Lionheart family, but that guy shouldn’t have ti for that right now, nor any reason to.
So who could it be?
’Could it be one of the Corruption Worshipers?’ his expression darkened. He hadn’t forgotten that those cultists were still after him because of that strange mark, or whatever it was.
"Yes, but he didn’t seem like soone from here. In fact, I don’t think he’s from the outer world or even the central plains. He looked more like a native of the Celestial Domain," the innkeeper explained.
"Where is he now? Did he leave?"
"No. He said he wouldn’t leave until he t you, so he’s staying at a nearby inn since we didn’t have any empty rooms here," the man replied.
"Did he leave anything for contacting him?" Daniel asked calmly.
"He gave a communication talisman."
"Good. Use it to contact him and tell him to co here, I’ll et him in the bar," Daniel said with a nod.
The innkeeper nodded as well, took out the talisman, and did as Daniel instructed. After a few seconds, he turned back and said that the young man would be arriving soon.
Daniel nodded, thanked him, and went to the inn’s bar. He was genuinely curious about who this mysterious visitor was.
He found an empty table and sat down. Finn, still perched on his shoulder, grumbled softly, seemingly displeased about being there.
Daniel ignored him. Right now, he just wanted to know who was looking for him.
It didn’t take long before the young man arrived. The innkeeper guided him to the bar, and soon he walked in.
The mont he entered, his eyes imdiately found Daniel’s figure. Daniel looked back, and his eyes widened in surprise as recognition hit him.
"Kayn?"
That’s right. It was the sa Wanderer he had t back in the Elthanor Empire.
