The ships made of bone were slowly approaching their ship, and Kayn stared at them with a slight frown but without any real worry.
It wasn’t hard to guess they were most likely pirates. After all, they were in open waters that didn’t belong to any specific force.
And since this sea connected multiple continents, naturally a lot of ships passed through here every day, making it the best area for pirates to operate in.
But even pirates didn’t use ships made from the bones of humans or other creatures. They didn’t have the guts for that.
Ships like these would imdiately draw attention and would definitely get attacked by military forces sooner or later.
But the fact that such ships were now right in front of them ant these people were not simple pirates. They were most likely one of the most prominent groups even among pirates.
"This is such a pain in the ass" he muttered. Right now he was at Half Step A Rank, and if he used all his abilities, he could match an A Rank.
If he wasn’t mistaken, the ships approaching them carried several A-Rank auras, and even several that were beyond A Rank.
He had no chance of fighting them. Not everyone was a monster like Daniel who could fight soone an entire rank higher.
Speaking of Daniel, Kayn looked at him again. Lightning was still wrapped around him, his eyes were closed, and whatever he was doing clearly wasn’t done yet.
"Seriously, he picked now to do this?" Kayn growled.
"Maybe I’m just being too paranoid? Maybe those ships don’t care about us at all," he muttered, focusing again on the bone ships.
Even though they were heading toward them, it was possible they were just passing through. It didn’t necessarily an they were targeting them.
However... he quickly realized his first guess had been correct. The bone ships got close and then suddenly ramd straight into them.
The entire ship shook violently, like it wanted to sink.
"Damn it," Kayn cursed as he saw the massive ship slam into them. Now he knew they had definitely beco the target.
BOOM!
Before he could react, the second ship ramd into them as well, causing another heavy quake.
Now both bone ships had completely trapped them from both sides, blocking any escape. They had no choice but to face them.
"Haha, sorry for the trouble. But we haven’t found a good catch in a while. When we saw you, we got excited," a rough, middle-aged voice called from one of the ships.
Monts later, figures from both bone ships moved onto their vessel, surrounding Kayn and Daniel completely. They connected wooden bridges between the ships and walked onto their deck.
Those who could fly simply flew over and landed on their deck. The number was huge.
Just the ones who boarded their ship were in the dozens, and the ones remaining on the bone ships were in the hundreds.
"Heh, it’s just you two here?" the middle-aged man with long brown beard asked mockingly as he looked around.
"Looks like it," Kayn replied calmly but with a playful tone. He wasn’t soone who got scared easily in situations like this.
"I’m the captain of the Purple Pearl. In these vast waters, they call One-Hand," the middle-aged man said, ignoring Kayn’s tone and introducing himself.
"One-Hand? Pretty sure you have two hands."
"My title is because whenever I attack a ship, instead of killing all the crew, I cut off one of their hands as a souvenir," the captain said mockingly, then drew his sword.
The mont he drew it, blood splattered everywhere, and one of Kayn’s hands dropped onto the deck.
Kayn stumbled back a couple of steps, staring with disbelief at his severed hand. He hadn’t even noticed this bastard move!
"Above A Rank..." Only soone above A Rank could cut off his hand this easily without him sensing anything.
"This is bad... when the hell is this bastard going to wake up?" He looked at Daniel sitting cross-legged behind him.
If Daniel didn’t wake up soon, they were in real trouble.
"Take this back to our ship as a souvenir," One-Hand said casually as he picked up the severed hand and tossed it to one of his subordinates.
Then he looked again at Kayn...and especially at the young man sitting cross-legged.
But before he could say anything, another middle-aged voice echoed, this ti a woman’s voice.
"Hey bastard, I marked this ship first. Get lost before I really make you live up to your na and cut off your damn hand."
The mont that harsh woman’s voice rang out, all the people behind One-Hand imdiately raised their guard and looked ready to fight.
From the other bone ship, a figure flew over and landed on their ship, a middle-aged woman with a rough face and a scar across it. Her hair was tied with a bandana, and she held a sword almost twice her own weight.
"Haven’t seen you in a while, old hag. Thought you just ca to say hi," One-Hand said lazily, not showing any fear.
The people standing around the woman shivered when they heard "old hag" and quietly stepped away from her, scared she’d snap.
"You’re talking bigger than your mouth. Want to rip your jaw open and smash all your teeth?" she growled, killing intent flashing in her eyes.
"Relax. No need to fight. This ship is ours. Get lost."
"No chance. We saw it first."
"How’s that matter? I was here first."
"Hmph! If you want this ship, then fight for it!" the woman snarled, raising her sword.
"..."
Kayn watched their childish argunt, unsure whether to laugh or cry. Both of them were completely ignoring him and acting like they already owned the ship.
Did these idiots have any idea what kind of monster the real owner of this ship was? When he woke up, both sides would be scared to death.
He tried to nudge Daniel with his foot, but the lightning zapped him and burned him slightly, forcing him to back off.
"I’m not scared of fighting. If you want a fight, we’ll fight. But first, let’s get rid of these two," One-Hand said with a nod.
"You can kill the boy whose hand you cut, but that cute one is mine. I want him for tonight," the woman said, licking her lips as she looked at Daniel.
"..."
