The sea under Daniel’s feet roared like a wounded beast. The waves rose, crashed down, and the sound of thunder above his head did not stop.
But the monster... it was not calm. It seed like it was controlling the storm itself.
It burst out of the water again; this ti the vapor rising from its body looked like the smoke of a boiling pot. Its roar filled the sky, and the waves split in response.
Its body rose like a twisted pillar of water, then it attacked at an absurd speed.
Daniel raised The Heavens Honor in front of him just in ti, and the sword’s aura exploded along the blade. The monster’s strike was like the impact of a mountain.
The pressure was so intense that Daniel slid several steps backward on the surface of the water, and the waves splashed away under his feet.
"Fighting this monster could be hard for Daniel," Kayn said from a distance with concern. Even though he hoped his friend could defeat this creature, it was clear the battle would not be easy.
The monster had also shown that every ti it was injured, it could return to the depths of the sea, heal itself, and co back to the surface to fight again.
aning every ti it felt danger, it would dive underwater. This was a problem for Daniel, since he could not follow the monster into the depths.
"This isn’t just a monster... this is a disaster," Veronica said through gritted teeth. She was using all her brain cells trying to figure out how she could help Daniel.
Even though she had been scared of that man at first, after he saved them, she felt grateful toward him. He could have left them to die and only saved his friend.
But he saved all of them.
Even though he was a pirate, he still had so sense of morals... but no way ca to her mind that could actually help.
The monster attacked again. It twisted its body and shot forward like a gigantic coiling rope toward Daniel.
Daniel dodged and used the Law of Thunder to multiply his speed, appearing above the monster in the blink of an eye and bringing down a diagonal strike. The blade, combined with the Law of Death, tore into the monster’s skin. Dark blood sprayed out.
But the monster did not even groan. It opened its mouth and thousands of saw-like teeth began to spin.
Then... a savage sonic pressure was released. Not a normal roar or sothing like that, but a terrifying destructive wave that felt like it could destroy anything that stood in its path.
Daniel only had ti to condense the Aura of Death around himself. The sound wave slamd into him like a hamr and threw him several ters back. Even the water beneath his feet split and scattered.
Daniel’s vision blurred for a mont. This monster’s attacks were not simple, its power crushed everything.
"Interesting, it can use the Law of Destruction," Daniel muttered under his breath, frowning slightly.
Since he already understood a bit of the Law of Destruction, he could easily sense it within this monster, as if it ca from the depths of its very existence.
"I was worried about where I should find a source of destruction, but who would’ve thought one would just show up in front of ?" He then let out a low laugh. If he was not mistaken, so kind of destruction source must exist deep inside this monster’s body.
Now he just had to be careful not to damage that source while fighting.
The Devourer Of Tides continued its assault. It twisted its body and imdiately coiled around Daniel, as if trying to strangle or crush him.
The pressure of its coils was bone-crushing.
Daniel slashed to create space between them, but the monster’s second coil attacked from another angle.
This ti he was forced to activate [ Demonic Twilight Shield ].
A dark shield ford around him, and the deadly pressure of the monster shattered against it, but Daniel still trembled. The pressure was so intense that cracks ford on the surface of the shield.
The shield absorbed part of the attack’s energy, but the assault was still brutally strong.
"Damn... it’s stronger than I thought," Daniel gritted his teeth.
When the shield shattered, Daniel had no choice but to leap out of the monster’s coils.
The monster did not give him a chance. It opened its saw-like jaws and dove at him in a fast movent, like a snake-shaped Godzilla.
This ti Daniel unleashed [ Death Roar ]. A dark ntal wave burst from his eyes. The monster froze for a mont, its serpent-like eyes trembling.
Just one second.
But that was enough. Daniel appeared above it and struck down with full force.
A Destruction strike, combined with thunder energy, drove into the monster’s back. Blood sprayed like a fountain.
The monster screeched and violently shook its body, the waves it created spreading out like a tsunami impact.
Then, without hesitation, it slamd itself back into the sea.
Daniel already knew what would happen.
The monster’s wounds began to bubble, then close... its scales shone again like before.
"Does it really have no limits?!" Kayn gasped. They could all see what was happening.
He realized that Daniel’s strikes were not normal, and that he had embedded the Law of Death into them to try to destroy the monster using it.
But it was still useless...
"So no attack works at all?" Veronica murmured with lifeless eyes.
The monster surged up from the water with twice the previous force. This ti not just a roar... but a massive water vortex spun around its body. The water around it rose like walls of blades.
Daniel prepared himself. He raised his sword. Thunder energy exploded around him. The Aura of Death dried the water beneath his feet.
The monster attacked again with full power. This ti, the impact of its head was like two mountains colliding.
Daniel blocked the strike, but was thrown dozens of ters backward across the water.
"Looks like I have to use other thods," he murmured to himself, and his eyes turned serious.
