The domain collapsed with a sound like space itself shattering. Dark light slamd into their eyes like a wave.
Sounds returned violently, the roars of demons, the howling of demonic energy, and screams that reeked of blood.
Daniel dropped to one knee.
Orsius’s body was already on the verge of collapse. The cracks on his skin were completely visible, yet there was no worry on his face.
He let out a sigh of relief. He had obtained what he wanted, and there was nothing left to worry about. Even if this body was destroyed now, it was worth it.
Still, he had no intention of giving up so easily. At the very least, before this body was destroyed, he would make sure to wipe out all these demons.
This body had endured so much, wouldn’t it be disrespectful if he didn’t kill every last one of these bastards? That way, he could also deal a serious blow to the demons.
Wargon rose from the ground. He gripped his mace with both hands. The blood on his face had dried, but his smile was more alive than ever.
"It’s over. Your domain is broken... and now it’s our turn." He raised his hand and once again ordered the soldiers to prepare for attack.
He already considered the outco of this battle decided. It was obvious that this human was at the end of his road and no longer had the strength to continue.
Around them, the remaining demon soldiers completed the circle.
Spears were lowered.
Daniel slowly stood up. He no longer had any life force left to burn. If he burned even what little remained, Orsius’s body would die instantly. He wanted to give these demons one last big surprise before that.
"I’m going to die, but you’re all coming with ," he said with a cold smile.
"You don’t even have the strength to talk anymore, human," Wargon frowned.
"This body was never ant to survive from the start."
And then he released everything. All limits. All restraints. Everything that had kept Orsius’s body "controllable."
Orsius’s demonic aura compressed in an unnatural way,
like a star collapsing into a black hole.
The soldiers stepped back.
"What is this?!"
"Commander—!"
"Damn it, I feel my bloodline being suppressed!"
"Attack! All of you—" Wargon roared. He too felt an enormous sense of danger, his instincts screaming at him to flee as fast as possible.
But it was too late.
Daniel took a single step forward.
The ground beneath his feet vaporized, and with every step, a wave of death was released.
The spears reached him, but before they could hit, they decayed. Armor cracked. Bodies exploded from the inside.
Demonic and destructive energy more terrifying than anything these demons had ever witnessed descended upon them. That energy was exactly like death itself.
Wherever it passed, demons were turned to ash, their bodies completely erased.
The cracks on Daniel’s body spread further and further. Even his face was completely shattered now, and his life force fluctuated violently, as if it could collapse at any mont.
The demon soldiers fell one by one. They didn’t even have ti to react or scream, they died instantly, without being able to resist.
Wargon roared and raised his mace. That devastating attack reached him as well, but thanks to his power, he managed to endure it. He tried to use his strength to protect the other demons too.
The number of demons kept dropping. On Wargon’s order, the remaining ones sacrificed their cores and life force to launch a powerful attack ant to accelerate Daniel’s destruction and kill him on the spot.
The sky split open. A massive pillar of demonic energy descended, the combined power of Wargon and the remaining army.
Daniel stood still, his gaze calm. In fact, there was even a trace of mockery and a faint smirk deep in his eyes.
"...Enough."
Orsius’s body exploded from within, and another shockwave engulfed the demons.
The uncontrolled demonic energies did not scatter, instead, they dragged everything along with them.
The remaining soldiers were torn apart by the backlash. The ground collapsed for kiloters.
Wargon resisted with all his strength, but he was still thrown back. Half of his body turned to ash, and even his core was damaged, nearly collapsing.
When the dust finally settled... nothing remained.
Not Orsius’s body, not even its ashes. It had been completely destroyed and erased.
Wargon, wounded and gasping for breath, dropped to one knee. He stared at the empty space before him.
"...Madman," he whispered, his eyes trembling.
At that sa mont, sowhere far away, Daniel opened his eyes.
Cold sweat covered his entire body. His heart was still pounding. This had been one of the most insane battles he had ever fought, he had never acted so recklessly before.
Even though the battle had been extrely thrilling, he had no desire to experience sothing like that again. Even if Orsius’s body was not his own, it had contained his consciousness.
The pressure during that fight had been completely insane, so overwhelming it could drive ordinary people mad.
Of course, this level of pressure existed only because he was using Orsius’s body.
In general, if he were in the sa situation with his real body, he would have won easily.
Aside from his own power, which was enough to crush all those demons and even Wargon, he also had the Fallen as an army, and they possessed the sa semi-immortal traits as demons.
And his army of the Fallen was far stronger than that battalion of a thousand demon soldiers.
On top of all that, he had trump cards and extrely powerful skills that could allow him to escape even from a Heavenly King.
Still, this had been a very educational experience. It could be said that, after a long ti, he had finally faced a real challenge and tested his limits.
Fortunately, his original body was still alive and intact. He looked at Kayn and lia beside him. Both were ditating, clearly waiting for him to wake up.
"It’s ti to leave this place," he said in a voice loud enough for both of them to hear.
