After arriving at the guild, Daniel went straight to the leader’s office. He had already announced his arrival, and Lana had ssaged him that only her father was there at the mont.

She didn’t say where she herself was, and Daniel didn’t ask.

"Co in." Varnos’ voice, the guild leader, was heard from behind the door.

Daniel opened it and saw the guild leader sitting in his chair, apparently reviewing different files. A cup of tea was beside him, and the fatigue on his face was obvious.

"Daniel? Welco!" When Varnos saw who it was, he smiled and stood up. He warmly welcod his guest and gestured for him to sit.

"It’s been a while since we last saw each other, Mr. Varnos."

"That’s true, it has been a while. Though I heard from Lana that during this ti you were a huge help to the guild and even saved my daughter." The guild leader sat down on the sofa in front of him.

"I wanted to thank you for it, but my daughter said you were in the Celestial Domain. So I’ll thank you now. I’m truly grateful." Varnos thanked him sincerely.

He knew the situation with the terrorists, and he knew that if this boy hadn’t helped, things would have beco far more complicated, chaotic, and dangerous.

"There’s no need to thank . You’ve helped a lot as well," Daniel said with a small smile. His tone was neither humble nor arrogant, just calm and normal.

"We only helped you once. After that, it was always you helping us. In fact, during all this ti, the guild has been like an extra burden on your shoulders." The guild leader sighed.

He felt that they had indirectly caused this boy a lot of trouble, yet he didn’t even know how to make up for it.

"Whatever you want, tell . As long as it’s within my power, I will definitely do it for you," he added at the end.

Daniel stayed silent. He didn’t imdiately refuse, but he also didn’t ask for anything right away. He truly didn’t need anything from this guild, and the leader was right. They had only helped him once.

Since then, it had always been him helping them, whether it was the S-rank dungeon incident, the terrorist issue, or saving Naya. But even so, he wasn’t angry at all.

Because he planned to use this guild as the foundation to expand the Religion of Eternity in this world as well. Yes, he intended to establish the Religion of Eternity here too.

Was it difficult? Of course. Much harder than in the Celestial Domain. But he had his own thods. And for that, Everlight Moon guild needed to beco the ruler of this country.

Only then could he form his own force, a force that would help him spread and promote the religion.

Previously, he had no plan to establish the Religion of Eternity in this world. Simply because it was ti-consuming and extrely difficult, and the Demi Gods might have tried to stop him.

The fact that he didn’t have a supporter as powerful as Evangelin in this world made things even harder.

But now?

If he wanted to beco a true god as soon as possible, he had to do it.

Even though he still couldn’t match the Demi Gods, he was definitely going to beco their enemy anyway because of what they did to his father.

So why delay it?

However, for now, he had no intention of telling anyone about any of this. First, he needed to rebuild and expand the religion in the Celestial Domain.

"If you truly want to make it up to , then answer one question," he finally said.

"Hmm? Of course. Ask whatever you want." Varnos was slightly surprised. It was clear he hadn’t expected that, but he didn’t refuse.

"Why did you attack Goblin Guild alone and get yourself arrested?" Daniel asked.

Varnos’ face darkened. A deep frown appeared, his eyes turned complicated, and his brows knitted together. It was as if he didn’t know how to answer.

No... he knew how to answer. But he couldn’t, and didn’t want to. This was sothing he hadn’t even told his daughters.

"Can you ask another question?"

"If answering this question isn’t possible for you, that’s fine. You don’t have to answer. But I won’t change my question."

The guild leader sighed. He looked away and stared at the ceiling, as if struggling internally over whether to speak or not.

"I found out that Goblin Guild was responsible for my wife’s death," he finally said.

"Responsible for your wife’s death? But how? And how did you find out?" Daniel frowned deeply. More complicated questions ford in his mind.

"It goes back years ago. At that ti, a team of the country’s strongest S-ranks and A-ranks was sent to a dungeon outside the country. My wife was with . I had just reached S-rank back then, and my wife was at the peak of A-rank."

"Our mission was exploration, not cleansing, so there was no issue inside the dungeon. But on our way back, we were attacked by unknown terrorists. In that battle, my wife was killed." Varnos spoke in a tone that beca colder and at the sa ti more sorrowful.

"And last month, I received a letter with evidence showing that those terrorists were supported and controlled by Goblin Guild." His tone shifted to killing intent and anger.

Daniel stayed silent. His mind was analyzing.

He knew about that dungeon. After all, this year the guild leader had been sent on a similar mission again, and they were attacked by terrorists once more.

It wasn’t hard to guess that the terrorists were supported by Goblin Guild. Daniel had already reasoned that before.

But the question was, who told Varnos?

’It was Goblin Guild themselves.’ He sighed internally. He could see through their sche. They wanted to ruin Varnos’ reputation and damage Everlight Moon guild.

That evidence was probably not strong enough to prove anything officially, but it was enough to convince Varnos. And they knew exactly what his first reaction would be.

Of course, there had to be another reason too. Daniel was sure of it. But what other reason could there be?

"Please don’t tell my daughter about this for now. At least not yet. The terrorists had hung the bodies of those they killed from the walls. Lana saw a picture of her mother’s hanging body."

"If she finds out Goblin Guild was behind it, she might react even worse than I did."

"I’ll keep it from her. But please don’t do sothing foolish again," Daniel nodded.

"Don’t worry. I know that with my current strength, I can’t do anything. In fact, maybe revenge will never be possible." Varnos laughed, but it was a laugh filled with sadness.

He was too pathetic, wasn’t he? He couldn’t even avenge his wife.

"Anyway, let’s change the topic. You seem to have grown much stronger during this ti. Also, I told you not to go to the gulf, and you didn’t listen."

"Well, I ca to the conclusion that I was strong enough to go there," Daniel said jokingly.

"Oh really? How about we have a duel? We’ve never fought before. Let see how powerful soone who destroyed an entire terrorist group really is," Varnos said in a provocative tone.

"Sure," Daniel didn’t refuse. He also wanted to know how strong he had beco. This wasn’t a bad opportunity.

Though Varnos didn’t know that this suggestion was a very big mistake.
