Jason charged toward Daniel like a black storm.
His eyes were blood-red with rage, but it wasn’t just rage, it was a deep, burning hatred that could only be resolved with the death of one of them.
Jas had been like a little brother to him. They hadn’t known each other for many years, but ever since that boy joined the guild, Jason had been by his side the entire ti.
All of Jas’s training had been under his supervision. Every strategy, every thod to conquer the tower floors, every way to advance in the Celestial Domain, it was all taught by him.
He had shown Jas how to make full use of his genius and talent.
And now this bastard had ruined all his efforts and killed the future of this guild. How could he not be furious?
"You... you killed him... now it’s your turn to die!"
He didn’t even give his enemy a chance to speak, as if he had no patience left for any excuses or extra words. He wanted only one thing.
Revenge. And for that, he needed to cut this trash’s head off.
Jason raised his hands. The four elents, fire, water, wind, earth, swirled around his body at the sa ti. He was a four-elent mage and one of the very best among his kind in the country.

A massive fiery tornado ford around Daniel. The flas rushed toward him like living snakes, scorching the air.
Daniel quickly activated [Demonic Twilight Shield]. The demonic shield ford around his body and absorbed part of the fire, but the heat was so intense that the shield imdiately started cracking.
Even the skill was at its weakest state. The fact that he could use it at all was practically a miracle.
The poison had completely crippled all his abilities.
He jumped back, but Jason gave him no opening. He wasn’t stupid enough to let his enemy counterattack. His strategy was simple:
Attack relentlessly until the enemy was destroyed.
[Tidal Prison]
Water appeared out of nowhere, hundreds of thousands of liters gathered around Daniel in an instant and trapped him in a glass-like cage.
The water pressed in, trying to crush his body.
Daniel slamd a powerful fist into the water wall, but the pressure was so great that his arm broke up to the elbow.
He felt the pain, but he didn’t scream. He just clenched his teeth.
Jason laughed.
"You really thought you could fight ? You can’t even think straight anymore!"
And he was right.
Daniel felt his mind slowing down.
Every decision, every movent, it was like they were trapped in thick fog.
He knew this wasn’t normal. Sothing was ssing with his thoughts, maybe the array, maybe leftover poison, maybe one of Jason’s hidden skills.
[Storm Requiem]
Wind and thunder attacked at the sa ti.
Blue lightning bolts rained down from the artificial sky of the hall and struck Daniel.
Each hit felt like a giant hamr slamming into his body.
He dropped to one knee. Blood poured from his ears and nose.
The fact that this bastard was using thunder, a law Daniel himself was a master of, but he couldn’t use it, made him furious.
But what could he do? He could only endure until the poison weakened or he found a chance to retreat.
The poison hadn’t weakened at all, in fact, it had co back several tis stronger.
Jason stepped forward and slamd an [Earthshatter Fist] into Daniel’s chest.
His ribs cracked. His breath caught.
"How can it be fair for Jas to die while you live? Just like you cut off his head, I’ll cut off yours!"
"And then I’ll tear you to pieces and throw your body to the animals!" Jason attacked again.
[Elental Collapse]
The four elents combined at once: fire and wind created a blazing storm, water and earth ford a massive mud wave.
Both attacks hit Daniel simultaneously.
He activated [Eternal Deny] at the last second, all the strikes lost their aning for a brief mont and vanished into eternity, but only for a fraction of a second.
Then the pain ca rushing back.
He was smashed into the wall. His body was covered in fractures and burns.
It had been a long ti since he had taken this much damage. Unfortunately, the worse part was that he didn’t even have the strength to fight back.
The poison had once again crippled most of his offensive power. He was burning large amounts of life force just to keep so defensive capability.
If he didn’t, he would definitely die here. If he died and ca back, the whole world would learn about his near-immortality. And worse, he was worried that whoever had given this poison and array to the Goblin Guild might have also given them a way to kill him permanently.
Maybe he was just paranoid, but today he had been surprised enough tis already.
"You definitely cheated. Otherwise how could trash like you kill Jas? Tell ! What power did you borrow to kill him unfairly?" Jason panted, but a mocking smile was on his lips.
It was as if he had completely forgotten that the ones fighting unfairly in this battle were them.
[Cataclysm Judgnt]
The sky of the hall turned blood-red.
Millions of elental blades, fire, ice, stone, wind, rained down toward Daniel.
Daniel could no longer defend. He didn’t have the strength to block this attack.
The blades struck his body and blood sprayed.
He dropped to his knees. His eyes were half-open. His breaths were short and filled with blood.
"This is for Jas." Jason stood over him. He raised his hand to deliver the final blow.
But Daniel smirked. Seeing that smirk, Jason frowned.
"What...?"
For so reason, he felt a strange sensation. It wasn’t danger, he was certain this trash couldn’t threaten him.
"This isn’t the end of this. We’ll et again," Daniel said coldly.
And then...
[Fallen Step]
Space twisted for a mont.
The next instant, he appeared next to Varnos.
"How did you get here?" Varnos stared at Daniel in shock as he suddenly appeared beside him.
Varnos was also stunned. How had Daniel suddenly appeared here? And why did he look so badly injured? He could feel that Daniel’s breathing and heartbeat were extrely erratic and ssed up.
It seed like this boy’s condition was even worse than his own. But why? How could soone stronger than him end up in much worse shape against a weaker opponent?
Could it be the way the poison works?
Alaric also stopped when he saw the boy arrive and frowned. Had Jason failed? But how was that possible?
Suddenly, from Varnos’s shadow, a Fallen erged and entered Daniel’s inner world.
The entire ti, he had secretly kept one Fallen hidden next to the guild leader.
He knew danger might co and wanted to have an escape route ready.
"Ti to go," he said without explanation and grabbed Varnos.
[Fallen Step]
Both of them, along with all the Fallen, disappeared once again.
"No... no... no!!!"
Alaric, who had been watching, let out a furious roar that shook the walls of the hall.
But Daniel and Varnos were gone.
Both of them escaped, bloodied and on the brink of death.
Of course, it wasn’t really escape, it was a strategic retreat.
