"So they're all coming." Daniel's voice was calm, so much so that it seed as if it hadn't even been said to be heard.
Elisira was still standing in front of him, but now her gaze had changed slightly. She had been waiting for a different reaction: surprise, worry, or even excitent, mockery.
But she saw none of those. Just this stillness, this strange acceptance.
This gave her a strange feeling. How could soone be so calm about sothing like this? Is he that fearless? Is he that confident in his power?
But how? No matter how powerful soone is, they cannot stand against an entire continent.
But the man's next words shocked her even more.
"If the whole continent cos, then this will end much faster." Daniel continued, as if completing an unfinished thought.
Relief and even so happiness were evident in his tone.

Elisira was silent for a few seconds. This question seed strange to her. Not because she didn't have an answer, but because she hadn't expected it. This was the first ti she truly felt as if this man didn't know.

"I told you about the Divine Prophet before… a voice that is said to directly convey the will of the gods. Whatever she says… is considered a decree." She paused briefly, as if choosing her words carefully.
"You have exactly disobeyed one of her most important decrees, one that has mobilized the continent."
"Our mission is simple… at least on paper." Elisira continued.
A bitter smile settled on her lips, which quickly faded.
"To destroy the beasts of corruption… and preserve what remains of the world."
"Who are the strongest?" Daniel tilted his head slightly.
The information he had obtained so far was more or less known to him, at least all of it except that this continent is the last continent.
This had only one aning, and it was clear from this girl's words that the other continents had been destroyed. If he had to guess, he would say it was the work of the beasts of corruption.
"Well, it's hard to give a complete answer to that question. There are many powerful people on the continent, like the Eternal Warriors and those who have approached the level of half step-Divine." This ti, Elisira's answer ca more quickly.

Clearly, the power system of this world was different from his world, but he didn't care much about knowing the details. He just had to protect this tree.
But there was sothing he was curious about.
"Has anyone before … disobeyed the Prophet's order?" A few monts later, he asked the next question himself.
This ti, Elisira didn't answer imdiately. Her gaze fell, as if she wasn't sure whether she should speak about that taboo or not.
"One…" Her voice grew quieter.

Daniel looked at her a little more intently.
"A few centuries ago… the Divine Prophet ordered an entire city to be destroyed. She said it was infected with corruption and had angered the gods." Elisira continued, and every word carried weight.
"But one person objected."
"He said… 'If a human is still breathing in that city… this decree is wrong.'" Her gaze lifted for a mont.
"The continent declared a general mobilization against him. Everything progressed very quickly… He resisted as much as he could and killed many people. He even called the Divine Prophet a demon and swore to kill her, and then…"
"Of course, he was killed." She slowly exhaled.
This ti, Daniel said nothing. His gaze just deepened a little. He preferred to take the side of this taboo figure over the Divine Prophet.
A few monts later, he asked the next question:
"Tell about the situation of your continent and this resistance? Has it been successful?"
This ti, Elisira answered with a delay, as if she was no longer a princess. Just soone who was tired.

Daniel looked at her, but inside, he was comparing.
In his own world, there was also collapse. One continent had been destroyed. But still… the balance had not been completely broken. Resistance still existed. In fact, the resistance was progressing well, and the situation was under control.
So the conclusion his mind reached was simple: this world… is weaker, or the invasion of the beasts of corruption in his world is more controlled.
But before this thought could fully form, Elisira spoke again.

Her gaze slowly rose, straight into Daniel's eyes.
And she delivered the final sentence with a weight that seed to end everything.
