"Ugh, this could really get us into trouble," Eltha sighed as she watched Daniel leave.
"Don't worry, no one's gonna have ti to notice us," Atlas chuckled, then opened a portal and left too.
anwhile, Daniel quickly ran toward the inn right after exiting the portal.
"Get up. We need to leave now," he said without hesitation and pulled Eva along with him.
"Huh? What's going on? Why are you in such a rush?" Eva asked in shock as she saw how forcefully Daniel was dragging her.
"No ti to explain, but if we don't get out of this city right now, we might never get another chance," Daniel said, and Eva went silent.
She didn't know what Daniel had done, but if he was saying sothing like that, there had to be a reason. Without hesitation, she followed him as they rushed toward the place where the city's portals were located.
"I want to go to the Central Plains," Daniel said to one of the portal operators whose station wasn't crowded.
"What's the rush? Anyway, that'll be two gold coins per person," the operator raised an eyebrow but didn't care much.
Daniel opened his inventory, took out four gold coins, and handed them to him. The operator glanced at the coins, then pointed to one of the portals.
"That portal takes you to one of the free zones in the Central Plains."
"Free zones?" Daniel raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Zones not under the control of any guild or organization. If you want to go to a zone governed by a guild or group, you have to do it from inside the Central Plains. That's their rule," the operator shrugged.
Daniel didn't care much. All he wanted right now was to get out of the empire as quickly as possible.
As soon as they stepped into the portal, the world around them suddenly shifted. They felt a mont of lightness and weightlessness, but soon everything settled down.
They exited from another portal and found themselves in a completely different atmosphere. The air was more humid, and the building housing the portals looked just like a large administrative office.
Daniel and Eva exchanged glances, then looked around. They saw several different officials down near the portals, walked down the stairs, and approached one of them.
"Welco to the Erin Free Zone. If this is your first ti here, you'll need to pay five gold coins," the official said.
Daniel gave him ten gold coins, and at the sa ti noticed he only had twelve gold coins left.
The official asked for their nas, and they told him. He recorded them in a special kind of scroll.
"The Erin Free Zone is next to a territory governed by the White Tiger Guild. The rules are the sa as everywhere else—corruption, murder, theft, and assault are forbidden."
Daniel and Eva nodded, and the official told them they could go. They nodded again and exited the building.
"So this is the Central Plains, huh?" Daniel said, looking at the buildings around him. It was very different from the other two cities he had seen.
The architecture of the buildings and streets reminded him exactly of the Western Continent from his previous life. Carriages moved along the roads, and even the people dressed like those from his world—nothing like the natives of the Celestial Domain.
"So what do we do now?" Eva looked at him and asked. She was also srized by the beauty of the city—it was even more luxurious than the city where the Irenwald family lived.
If this was just a regular city, then how beautiful must the top cities in the Central Plains be? She couldn't wait to see them all.
"I'm not sure. When I first ca to the Celestial Domain, I wanted to co to the Central Plains to head for the Black Swamp, but we ended up staying in the Elthanor Empire for way too long," Daniel said as they walked through the streets.
"But now... I'm really tired. I want to leave this world for a bit and rest." He had been here for a long ti and really needed a break.
More importantly, he had a mother and sister. It had been about six days since he arrived in the Celestial Domain, which ant he hadn't seen them in six days.
He needed to leave the Celestial Domain to check on their situation and make sure they were okay. Plus, his friend Fati had said he'd co in about a week—and it had been about a week since he said that.
"Mm-hmm," Eva nodded, lost in her own thoughts. Because of her situation, she wanted to co to the Central Plains to search for soone.
When she was twelve and the Church attacked her family, her father told her that if the Church ever found her again, she must go find the White Whale. At the ti, he didn't say much about this White Whale—only that she could find him in the Central Plains.
"So we're parting ways here, huh?" They suddenly stopped and looked at each other.
Daniel looked into Eva's eyes. He had t her on the first day he arrived in the Celestial Domain, and they had spent about a week together.
To Daniel, Eva was a friend—the first friend he had made in the Celestial Domain. Though, he didn't fully trust her.
Even though she never said anything, he could feel she was hiding a lot from him—but considering her unique circumstances, he found it understandable and never brought it up.
Eva also looked into Daniel's eyes. To her, Daniel was like a support—sothing like a brother she could rely on and trust.
But she had a lot of problems and secrets. She didn't even have the courage to tell Daniel about the book the Church of Fate was after.
More importantly, she had been like extra baggage this whole ti, and that really bothered her. But given her condition, she just couldn't get stronger... at least not yet.
"Let's et again soday," Eva said, eyes sparkling.
"Of course," Daniel smiled, and Eva stepped forward and hugged him. Daniel was a little surprised but could feel that it was just a normal hug, with no special intentions—so he didn't say anything.
"Goodbye for now," Eva said, her face red like a tomato as she let go of him and walked away after saying goodbye.
"This really feels strange," Daniel muttered. It felt weird to part ways with Eva—probably because they had lived together for almost a week.
"I hope she doesn't run into any trouble," he thought. The girl had no ability to protect herself. Daniel could only hope she wouldn't get into another ss.
Still, she should be safe for now in the Central Plains.
'I want to exit the Celestial Domain,' he said in his mind

[Are you sure you want to exit the Celestial Domain?]
Daniel clicked "Yes."
[Request approved]
[Exit process initiated]
Suddenly, Daniel's body disappeared—and strangely, none of the people walking beside him paid any attention to his disappearance.
