Chapter 12: Confrontation
"Brother Qin, it's okay to fail. Your performance is also great!"
Qin An looked at the flustered Li Bai in front of him. Although Li Bai's eyes are red and is anxious, the latter is obviously trying to comfort him, saying things as if everything is okay.
He pauses for a mont and a faint struggle flashes in his eyes before finally considering and speaking the words that he didn't know he would say to a human.
He sighs. "I'm sorry."
Li Bai was slightly startled but quickly shook his head. "Brother Qin, it's okay. It's also my fault for being eager. Maybe you're really not ready for now. I'm the one who asked you to join and let you prepare for just a very short ti. I'm really sorry!"
Qin An was helpless. Li Bai's act is making him guilty for the first ti in his life. He looks like the junior grim reaper in the past who kept on apologizing to him for a simple mistake. It was silly.
Besides after what happened and listening to the ntors, Qin An already realizes his mistakes too. The three instructors were right. He was really perfunctory.
He couldn't relate for everyone's reason about being an idol. Qin An never thought about going on top because he wants to inspire people. For him, he was just doing his tasks to survive in this life.
What he just rely thought was about giving them a performance with just literally dancing. As Xu Xinyi said, he wasn't really like a human being for performing such a lifeless state. What was worse was Ice Love is originally a song about longing for now, Qin An is absolutely not fitted to perform that kind of genre.
To be accepted in this competition is just because he needs it but he doesn't care nor love what he is doing.
Wasn't that the sa as when he was still a reaper? Just doing the tasks that he's been assigned for such a very long ti until he didn't know when to stop anymore nor caring about the things that's happening to him around.
"Brother Qin, why don't you take a rest first? I'll send you to my apartnt to rest, okay? Today is a hard day after all." Li Bai sounds very careful, probably thinking that he's not in the good mood after what happened.
Calling him Brother Qin when Li Bai is much older isn't actually conflicted by both of them. Li Bai doesn't even think it's weird but feels it's much weird if he won't call him that. Isn't that the strange part? But Qin An didn't mind nor did he, so what's the fuss?
Anyway about what happened, it's not that he's really disappointed because he thought of this possibility after finding out that Qin An has no ntal power. However, neither of the two of them want to back down unless they know what the results are. And now that he's really eliminated, they could only accept this and think of another's route.
Qin An is also thinking about finding another job or a way to earn money. Since he's not suitable for this, then there are many ways.
Qin An nod and they were about to walk away when they t a small group of participants. One of them was Chen Wei who was leading on the front. He has a disdainful and contemptuous look on his eyes while looking at them. The other participants had a gloating stare at him too.
They stop in front of him and talk.
"Heh, Lao Tzu thought you were worth my ti, but it's really just a waste!" He mocks and everyone laughs, looking at him with much contempt and disgust.
"Brother Wei is right. He really wasted our ti. He really thought he's very powerful, right? Besides, his ntal strength is even error. How dare he join the competition." Another guy on the side cued. Everyone seems to rember that again and look at him even worse.
This is very different from the hesitant attitude earlier. At that ti, they were worried about his background so they didn't dare talking about him. However, Chen Wei told them that he's an orphan and didn't have any capital behind his back. This made those who were afraid felt insulted as if they were slapped in the face for thinking about flattering such a man like him.
So right now, they are so arrogant in mocking him.
Qin An is still expressionless. For him, facing them was also not worth his ti.
So seeing Qin An unbothered, Chen Wei's face turned black and took a step forward.
"If I use a little ntal power on you, you'll probably turn to trash, right?" His face was getting more arrogant and he looked up and down on him.
Qin An's eyes flash. ntal power is actually what he wants to have right now when he learns about how great it is especially for his strength. Qin An's only greed is probably becoming stronger. Other than fighting with devils and monsters, he didn't have any hobbies in the past. So he was very keen on finding out the chances to beco strong, that's why in his last life, the most things that he wanted to have were so powerful weapons.
When Qin An finally realized the benefit of having this, he was frustrated again.How could he not have this?
Another advantage of having strong ntal power was what Chen Wei said. Using ntal power to destroy another. And when your ntal strength is destroyed, you'll turn into an idiot.
But Qin An's ntal strength is already an error. He thought, he doesn't have ntal power in the first place, will he be affected by it?
Hearing that threat, so of the trainees who were originally just listening changed their face upon hearing it. He even saw one of them want to say sothing but their friends stopped him from interfering.
So although everyone else didn't say anything, they didn't also try to stop Chen Wei. So of them probably feel either gloating or just for fun.

Just as everyone around him was waiting for his another misfortune, a cold voice interrupted them.
"What's going on here?"
