Chapter 150: Hands

After settling and planning for so matters, Qin An asked He Li to stay inside the office because he had noticed the man’s pollution on his head hovering like dark clouds again.

It needs to be stabilized.

When everyone went outside except for the both of them, Qin An went closer to He Li to raise his hand and place it to the Marshal’s forehead directly.

When He Li felt the young man’s palm on him, his body instinctively stiffened and his back straightened. Fortunately he held himself back and tried to relax his body as he felt the spiritual energy slowly invade his head.

When he felt the familiar gentle and soothing energy inside him, He Li once again felt his aching head easing up lessen slowly and knew that later, the pain would disappear again.

As his body relaxes, He Li glances at the young man in front of him but stays silent to let him do his business for him. Silence was always with them but Qin An broke this.

"What’s your desire?"

"???" He Li paused and looked confused by this sudden and direct question from him.

Desire?

"What do you an?" he asked.

Qin An looked at him and tilted his head a bit. "I’m asking what’s your greatest desire?"

That made He Li stunned and he leaned back away. Qin An put his hand down and glanced at the man, waiting for the answer. However, He Li was just in doubt about his question. It was just sudden and he doesn’t know what’s with his question.

"Why are you asking this?" He Li asked with a faint of helplessness in his voice that he didn’t notice nor the young man in front of him.

"I don’t understand how to express our next performance but Han Suwen told that it can be interpreted as sothing you desire but had no choice but to give it up." Qin An explained and looked at He Li again with confusion.

He Li didn’t answer. It’s not just he doesn’t want to but just doesn’t know what to say.

Desire? That’s definitely not in his vocabulary. He rarely indulges in his wants and just focuses on what he needs to have. He doesn’t have any strong desires and is just thinking about getting strong to fully be competent on his duties and responsibilities. He wanted to defeat Zergs and have peace, but was that even a desire that this young man talked about?

As for other things, He Li was not interested and thinks it’s a waste of ti. Rather than indulging with unnecessary emotions or that desire, it’s better to do the things you need to do to grow and be disciplined in life.

Therefore, He Li couldn’t really answer the young man.

Rather, his question just made him only think deeper instead.

Looking at his face, Qin An got an answer and sigh. He decided on throwing that at the back of his mind and raised his head again and put it back to He Li’s forehead.

He didn’t even notice how the man stiffed again and his eyes flashed.

The energy coming straight on him made He Li paused.

His eyes flashed. Desire? Was that similar to sothing a person wanted the most?

It can be sothing that is needed but it’s a strong emotion to use.

Was there sothing or anything that He Li wanted to have?

His eyes narrowed and slightly raised his eyes. He glanced at the young man’s wrist and felt his palm on his forehead.

It was slightly warm.

This made him pause again and his eyes flashed with unknown thoughts.

anwhile, Qin An was feeling the forehead he was holding.

This is the second ti that he and the Marshal were this close again to soothe his pollution. Qin An could see the dark clouds hovering are getting mildier but still has a long way to go before it can be cleaned.

Anyway, Qin An wasn’t quite worried about this and is thinking about another matter.

What is he doing? He Li wanted to ask but opted not to when he noticed the frown on the young man’s face. He quietly waited and let him do what he wanted.

Qin An stared at the hand he was holding for a mont and he didn’t know what expression on his face because the young man was lowering his head.

This made He Li subconsciously lower his head too and glance at their clasp hands together.

Both hands were full of calluses and never felt soft. They both ca from a life wherein they have to fight in a real battle and encountered countless life and death situations. He Li was used to holding large weapons and his cha while Qin An had used different types of weapons before he got the ancient sword he wanted.

They lived in a totally opposite world. One existed in the past for too long while one existed in this future world that Qin An transmigrated.

It was supposed to be a life where they will never have an interaction. A path which can’t be intersected.

But here, they existed in the sa world and Qin An’s world is also gradually erging.

A fate that was never expected to begin with.

Qin An continued to stare at their hands and felt the warmth transmitted from the man to his. He also noticed the man’s hand is much larger than his. He was whiter while the latter has a slightly healthier skin than him.

It looks totally different from each other but he didn’t know why. As he continued to stare at their hands, sothing inside his mind flashed again without a warning.

Again, it was vague and quick but Qin An saw it was also a picture of two hands clasping together like in this situation.

The only difference was the smaller one has a pale and slender hand while the larger one has a sickly pale tone with so scars on his hand.

And before it totally disappears on his mind, Qin An notices sothing.
