Chapter 41: Dispute
The tense atmosphere in their group didn’t last long because sothing happened today that made the situation even worse.
After so minutes again, Shen Lou ca back and saw the mbers busy chatting without practicing. His face quickly turned dark.
"What are you doing?"
The mbers were shocked and they subconsciously stood up straight, feeling another shiver went down their spine on their back.
"Let’s practice again." Shen Lou demands with authority.
"Y-Yes!" The mbers looked at each other nervously and had no choice but to work hard again.
Due to what Shen Lou saw earlier, the next training ti beca stricter so that one couldn’t stop for a while and rest. His eyes beca sharper to spot any tiniest mistake and he didn’t even bother to make ands. Rather, he’ll rcilessly point you out in front of everyone and the music will go back to the start again.
Then until such ti, they couldn’t stop themselves anymore. When they’re practicing, so mbers won’t execute properly anymore. They were more casual and would even try to chat when Shen Lou was speaking on the front.
Qin An looked at this situation and knew that things would get bad again. And as expected, when Shen Lou was instructing a dance movent, he wasn’t taken seriously and the mbers even boldly expressed their doubts against him.
"Is this really okay? I think it doesn’t seem to fit." Ren Si, a mber, speaks. Shen Lou was about to answer but Ren Si turned his head away as if he was just talking about others and not him. The other mbers also chid in.
"I think so too. What do you think we’ll change about this?"
"I think this one is more perfect." Then that mber begins executing the movents. The mbers also followed him and they started discussing again without facing the captain who’s right in front of them.
Qin An stopped practicing and took a step back as a silent acquiescence that he will not be involved for this entanglent. Shen Lou looked at him for a second before he looked away. His face turns cold and he watches the mbers happily discussing and even starts creating their own.
"Let’s try dancing this part!"
"Yes!"
"Brother Ren, I think your suggestion is good. The movents are also not that complicated so we can cope up."
"Of course," Ren Si smiled. "Dance movents don’t actually have to be that hard just for the sake of good performance."
"I agree. And Brother Ren seems to consider us too. If not, then how can he think of alternative movents? He’s clearly adjusting for us!"
"Ren Si is a good teammate."
"Really?" Ren Si shows a wide grin and rubs the back of his neck. "No need to be polite since we’re a team."
The mbers nod and soone finally couldn’t help but say, "If only you’re the captain, Brother Ren. I think our progress will be fast."
Qin An looks at their flamboyant attitude as they continue their own way even if Shen Lou’s in front of them. From Shen Lou’s reaction, it seems that he now realizes that sothing’s wrong with his leadership. Now listening to their comnts, as the captain, how will Shen Lou address this problem?
If it were another person, they might feel ashad and start pondering what went wrong, but in Shen Lou’s case, he’s not.
Shen Lou’s ntal power seeped again and the mbers also stopped talking.
"What are you doing?" Shen Lou’s voice had a faint anger that anyone could notice but he was gritting his teeth to stay calm. If it were in the past, the mbers wouldn’t say anything because they are not familiar to each other but these days, they probably felt united because all of them suffered the sa treatnt.
Their opinions were ignored, their physical strength was drained, their ntal state beca unstable— all of these things that they experienced made them united and felt that this is the ti to speak.
So, they look at each other and grit their teeth to encourage themselves. They also subconsciously look at Ren Si who they feel could help them.
Ren Si paused for a mont before he took a sigh and looked at Shen Lou with determination.
"Brother Shen... I think we need to discuss sothing."
Shen Lou sneers. "You still need to ask that when you’re already discussing that much?" He was talking sarcastically about what happened earlier. Ren Si seems to feel ashad and he hesitatingly looks at the mbers behind him, but seeing them looking at him with anticipation, Ren Si looks as if he took an energy booster to be the voice.
"Brother Shen, please listen to us first."
"Oh?" Shen Lou crosses his arms and raises his brow to them. Ren Si took a deep breath and began his speech.
"W-We think there’s a problem with the group. As you can see, so mbers couldn’t keep up with the movents and others were also having a bad ti coping with the notes of the song. It’s just that we think that this has to be changed because it’s really hard for us." Ren Si’s face flashes with hesitation. "Besides..." He looked behind him again and saw the eagerness in everyone’s eyes so he could only bite his lips and tell the truth.
"Y-You really didn’t consider us. I-I an, Guang Yi had a hard ti yesterday keeping up with the steps but instead of telling him to learn slowly to adjust, you didn’t let him stop even when he’s already exhausted. Guo Xi had a sore throat because he sang all day just to reach your standards but instead of letting him rest, you scolded him because you think the notes are easy to reach. Then..." The large practice room was silent except for Ren Si’s voice who finally let their resentnt out of the bag.
For each mber, he explained their problems one by one as if he wanted to tell it to Shen Lou because he wanted their struggle to be heard and be addressed. Ren Si now looks like the real captain because all of the mbers were behind him supporting.
While Shen Lou looks like a lone wolf facing a pack who doesn’t welco him.
Qin An stood outside their sight and was just looking casually to this ss. Does he need to stand on one’s side? He doesn’t think he has nor he wants to.
He accepted Shen Lou’s assigned position and worked hard and did not try to nd with everyone’s business.
Right now, he just hopes they’ll stop so they can practice again.
Qin An looked at the mbers gathering together as if their unity could not break them. His eyes narrowed as he thought of the words uttered earlier.
