Chapter 50: Cease
Aside from this entanglent, fortunately things were going well unexpectedly for the team.
After that incident, for the next day of practice, it was early in the morning yet inside the room, the atmosphere was very cold and silent. No one even dared to have a conversation even if Shen Lou wasn’t there. They just waited like they were sitting on the tip of the needles, feeling extrely anxious that this day would be the sa yesterday.
They couldn’t take that feeling anymore!
But just as they felt that their team would have no hope, Shen Lou finally ca. He firstly looked at everyone with a calm face and went inside.
"B-Brother Shen..." A mber hesitantly called him and other mbers also began calling him politely and softly.
"..."
Shen Lou didn’t respond thus making the atmosphere freeze again.
"ow~" Black’s anxious call made Qin An look down and saw the cat pacing back and forth with a worried look on its face. Seeing its owner obviously not willing to make ands makes the cat anxious. Why is the owner still like this? Always have a hard mouth when in fact has a soft heart?
Black looked at the only human who can see him and owed anxiously for help.
Qin An sigh and look at Shen Lou. "You’re here." He greeted him. Everyone was taken aback by his active greeting. Shen Lou looked at him and their eyes.
The young man looked at him for a few seconds before finally nodding as a response. His face also eases and looks at the others.
"Let’s start."
"Y-Yes!" Even if Shen Lou looks casual now, the trainees were still afraid so when a mber made a mistake, his face turned deadly pale and looked nervously at Shen Lou. They are already expecting another round of scolding but to their surprise, Shen Lou didn’t say anything harsh and just corrected the mber with a calm voice.
"!!!" Are they hearing it right? They looked at each other and saw their bewildernt. Shen Lou didn’t get angry? Did this really happen?
Looking at their expression, Shen Lou inexplicably sighs inside his heart. He actually didn’t sleep a wink last night because of what happened. Pei Roujin’s words keep on circulating inside his head. He wanted to know the reason for how it ended up like this. Was everything his fault?
Shen Lou decided to walk outside his room and wander around the building to calm himself. He sohow went to He Yan’s group and saw them practicing. Different from them, the mbers of his group were smiling even though their bodies were full of sweat. They seem relaxed even with the intense training. What just surprised him was when the music stopped, it was not He Yan who started analyzing their performance but a trainee whom he didn’t even recognize. The young man speaks with ease and points out their mistakes inside the team.
What was even more surprising was He Yan didn’t even get angry and just nodded. The mbers also reacted quickly and they began reviewing themselves. With this, so mbers help each other together and they look very harmonious.
"...." Shen Lou stared at their team and his eyes flashed. It was unknown what he had thought but he stayed there for so ti and left quietly afterwards.
There was no actually a proper talk that happened but since Shen Lou didn’t get angry, their group also began improving rapidly after he let go of his prejudice and arrogance. Since then, he decided to have a eting and listened to the different opinions from the mbers about their performance.
Shen Lou also tried to integrate everyone’s opinion and finally created a right track that satisfied everyone. Hence, as the remaining days slowly decrease, their practice also begins to increase.
If it were in the past, if Shen Lou prohibited the mbers to rest longer the mbers will complain again, unlike now that because of the changes of his attitude, the mbers also changed their way to him. Due to that, the mbers weren’t repulsed to practice strictly this ti and even offered to add ti when Shen Lou asked them to stop.
For the mbers like them who’s in the lower class, Shen Lou tried to accommodate them. This ti, Shen Lou taught them individually at a much slower pace. He also let go of his own standards and will only encourage the mbers to improve rather than criticizing them to act what he wanted imdiately.
Qin An is also improving. From the first loss and restraints, he is gradually letting go of his shackles.
Qin An is finally integrating into this world now.
"Okay! Let’s take a ten minute break!" Shen Lou announced after the hectic training. The trainees quickly cheered and almost all of them slump their bodies directly on the floor because of tiredness.
Qin An also sat on the floor directly and saw Black went to him. The latter stole a glance on Shen Lou before rubbing himself on him. Qin An knew that it wanted to go closer to the young man but he secretly shook his head at the cat.
"ow," Black could only ow in grievance but they really had no choice.
"Qin An." He looked at the voice and saw Shen Lou walk towards him and sit down beside him.
"Drink?" Shen Lou offered bottled water that he gladly accepted.
"Thank you."
"Brother Shen, Qin An, do you want to go to the pantry to take snacks?" Ren Si asks them after they rest their breathing.
Shen Lou shook his head. "I’m not hungry."
"I won’t go." Qin An answered so the mbers left the room until only the two of them remained.
Silence engulfed them for a while until Shen Lou broke the ice.
"I heard He Yan went to your room every night. Did he bother you?"
Qin An drank the water first before shaking his head. "It’s fine." The corner of his lips slightly curl up when rembering that puppy face who keeps on stealing a glance at him everyday.
He Yan is more likely a kid to him so he won’t be bothered by his childishness. Besides, it’s also rare to see soone like He Yan. A young man who’s obviously sheltered by all the winds so he grew with purity and innocence. Although Qin An also saw people like him in the past, it was rare that soone like He Yan was able to maintain this personality albeit having the ntal riot inside him. He heard that the higher the ntal strength, the greater the riot you have.
He Yan’s ntal strength is S and he only has B in physical strength which will only make him feel more pain inside his head everyday. For soone like him who managed to endure the pain and was still able to have this persona, it was too rare and unique.
Probably that’s why he was loved by people and even soone like him beca tolerant.
Obviously, Shen Lou thought so too since he was willing to take care of He Yan ever since they were a child.
"Yanyan has always been like this. Since he wants to stick to you, it ans he really wants to beco your friend."
Friend? This has been the most familiar word that he always thought about these past few days. Qin An actually didn’t understand what the real aning of friends was. Was it about when you practice together everyday? Was it when you talked and shared sothing?
Did he consider anyone here as his friend or just like in the past when he treated everyone because they are colleagues in the sa field?
But before he could think further about that, the door suddenly opened with a loud bang revealing the anxious Ren Si who’s panting with his pale face.
"B-Brother Shen!" Ren Si shouted with extre anxiousness and fear. Qin An and Shen Lou look at each other and they quickly stand up.
"Why?"
Ren Si took a deep breath and forced himself to speak.
"H-He Yan’s ntal power is rioting!"
