Chapter 07: Audition
In a large stadium, countless young n were seen sitting on a crescent moon shaped stairs. Each individual has their own distinct differences but all have the spark of anticipation in their eyes.
This year, Dream Star finally launched the biggest anticipated show again— the Lucky99.
It's almost been 10 years since it was established and they are always successful in cultivating young n and won to beco the idols that everyone looks up to. Countless people auditioned every year that it opens, hoping to be lucky enough to even at least join the lucky 99 picked trainees among the auditioners to be part of the competition. After all, even if they wouldn't be truly lucky to debut, this competition is such a great opportunity to be in everyone's eyes for you to catch with.
As long as you work hard, you may notice that it can change your life. So trainees who lost were able to gain fans and continued their journey on another path, while so waited for the next year again to join. Since they are already experienced and have fans, they have the greater advantage of being known by everyone.
Even the chances to debut is greater.
On the downside, the stage is also very cruel.
In the entertainnt industry wherein everyday is very crucial, there have been countless artists who are eager to stand on top. If you want to stay focused, you have to think about how to put yourselves in everyone's eyes.
Many tried to create a personal image in front of the cara which is the contrast to whoever they really were just to attract fans. But this strategy is a double-sided sword that can easily destroy them.
However, isn't black also red? So even though so of them suffered backlash, it was enough for others to notice them.
But who wanted this short exposure? No one wanted to be easily forgotten or want to be rembered yet due to a scandal.
It's just afterall, wherever you go, competition from them is always at risk.
Now, it's another season for finding other young talents who will be the future stars.
"Good morning, everyone!" Jiang Su's voice echoed the whole stadium. "I'm very sure everyone is anticipating this journey and I think everyone is ready to express their talents and show us what you've got, right?"
"Yes!" The crowd cheered.
"Okay! Now, before everything else. Let us welco our ntors for this year's competition!"
Virtual data floated beside Jiang Su. It was like a large projector screen so the whole stadium could see. Inside was a virtual body of a man with a gentle temperant. It has an amicable smile on its face that seems to give a feeling of an older brother.
"One of our ntors for Lucky99 is a forr top idol. He successfully debuted 8 years ago with his teammates under the na Zero One. With his outstanding performances, he was able to showcase his talent until he decided to stay off screen and beco a ntor for the younger generation. Let's welco... Li Yun!"
Li Yun on the virtual gave them a gentle smile and nodded at them, then the virtual data was retracted.
Afterwards, a round of applause sounded the whole room.
"It's Li Yun!"
"Great! It's great that he's here. I was very worried that our ntors would scare to death. It's good that he's here!"
Qin An, who was sitting quietly on the side, was listening to the various comnts from other young n. Seeing the seemingly endless crowd made him uncomfortable. He wasn't used to being in this large circle and much worse when he'll go to the stage later on.
Qin An wants to regret again but forces himself not to. This night was his only way to survive in this world. Hence, to distract himself, he just focused on what he had heard and looked at the ntor's face. According to their words, it seems that this Li Yun is easy to approach?
Qin An rembered the smile on its face. Albeit having the perfect gentleman smile on its face... Qin An knew better than anyone else.
From the thousands of years that he spent and t endless souls and humans, he already mastered how to read people even if they are only in photos.
Gentleman? Qin An doubt it.
This Li Yun has just a perfect mask to deceive everyone.
"Next, our ntor also debuted as an idol. She's known for her hard work in the industry and beca one of the top-list stars for several consecutive years ahead. Let's welco... Xu Xinyi!"
A large virtual body of a woman was also projected. She has an outstanding appearance that's even better than actresses. However, she's wearing a cold face. The lady just waved at them casually before it was retracted.
"Mygod! Xu Xinyi?! Why is it her again?!"
"Ahhh bad luck! I thought she'll not join this year! She's a pain in the ass!"
"I'm starting to worry about this. Xu Xinyi had a bad reputation because of her bluntness that made a girl cry and back out last year. Will she change this ti?"
"I doubt that. Haven't you heard about the news that she's engaged to Chen Jiang? That's the boss in Dream Star! I suppose she will even be unscrupulous now."
Qin An was silent. Does this entertainnt industry really focus on covering themselves with a mask? Obviously this Xu Xinyi looks cold and blunt yes... but Qin An senses no malice on her. So why would her reputation seem very bad?
"Our last ntor however is not an idol. But, he has a great reputation because of his outstanding skills in acting. He won awards as the Best Actor 2 years and an award box-office actor. Please welco... Pei Roujin!"
This ti, it's a man wearing golden rimd glasses plastered in front of them. Although he has no expression on his face, one can see that he's very calm and stable. He only nods politely and disappears.
"Why is the Movie Emperor here?"
"I'm also curious, why do they add soone who's not even in our circle? Pei Roujin is great; but, was he supposed to go to an acting competition here?"
"Maybe used backstage?"
"But why? He's an Emperor already. Why bother joining this?"
Confusion from young n was seen as they reluctantly clapped their hands to welco the actor.
Qin An stayed silent. Well, the man in the virtual world is 'real'. Not soone who's wearing a mask.
Qin An didn't care what the purpose of a movie emperor was doing here.
He was actually quite concerned about his performance later.
