As this aged voice faded, a dark figure slowly appeared. In a split second, a black-robed figure erged out of nowhere, coming into everyone's view.

With the arrival of this shadowy figure, the expressions of Hai Bodong, Jia Xingtian, Fa Ma, Yun Leng, and the others changed drastically in an instant.

"Another Dou Huang-level powerhouse?" Jia Xingtian gasped, his voice filled with unmistakable shock.

"It seems this is Mo Yu's reinforcents. Who would have thought that this guy has such a powerful backing," Fa Ma said, his face unusually solemn.

The entire plaza fell into silence following the appearance of the black-robed figure.

The black-robed man's casual deflection of the Spiral Ball had left everyone in shock.

"Who are you?!"

Yun Leng's gaze was fixed on the mysterious Dou Huang in the sky, his expression growing increasingly serious as he questioned with a hint of forced bravado.

"You can call Ling Ying," the black-robed figure revealed a dark, aged face and chuckled.

"You're from the Xiao clan? Since when did the Xiao clan have a powerhouse like you?" Yun Leng asked in astonishnt, recognizing the way the black-robed figure addressed Mo Yu.

The Xiao clan in Wu Tan City had wielded so influence decades ago when their previous patriarch, Xiao Lin, was alive. But now, they were rely an unremarkable small family.

Even at its peak, the Xiao clan had never produced a Dou Huang-level expert. Now that it had declined, could it be that they were hiding their true strength?

Thinking of this possibility, Yun Leng's expression shifted subtly.

If the Xiao clan was concealing their strength, it could an one of two things: they were either avoiding strong enemies, or they had ulterior motives.

For the number one sect in the Jia Ma Empire, the Yun Lan Sect, it was a problem to have such a ferocious tiger lying in wait near them, regardless of the reason.

"Xiao clan? If you say so, then sure," Ling Ying chuckled.

He was, after all, Xun'er's personal guard, and since Xun'er could be considered part of the Xiao clan, he could reluctantly count himself as one of them, at least for now.

Ling Ying's words sparked a flurry of whispers among the crowd.

The Xiao clan possessed a Dou Huang powerhouse?

It was known that the strongest figures in the empire's three major families were only at the Dou Wang level. Even Jia Xingtian, the protector of the Jia Ma Empire's royal family, was just a Dou Huang.

If the Xiao clan truly had a Dou Huang, wouldn't they be elevated to the level of a super family on par with the royal clan?

Nalan Jie's expression shifted subtly, his gaze complicated. He and Xiao Yan's grandfather, Xiao Lin, had been close friends for decades, yet he had never heard of such a hidden strength in the Xiao clan.

If they had known, the Nalan family would never have broken off the engagent with Xiao Yan, even if he was seen as talentless.

Hai Bodong also looked up in surprise at the black-robed elder, sensing a power far stronger than his own.

"The Xiao clan has such a strong expert?" Hai Bodong muttered in amazent.

Xiao Yan himself was also staring at the elder in the sky with a look of puzzlent. He then shifted his gaze to Mo Yu beside him.

As the Xiao clan's young patriarch, he was well aware of his family's situation and had never heard of such a powerhouse in their ranks.

Noticing Xiao Yan's confusion, Mo Yu smiled slightly, then transmitted his voice to Xiao Yan, uttering only two words.

"Xun'er."

Hearing that na, Xiao Yan's pupils shrank slightly, his face showing a hint of surprise and delight. As he pondered, he looked thoughtfully up at the dark figure in the sky.

Even though Mo Yu only said two words, Xiao Yan, being sharp-minded, imdiately grasped the implication.

Xun'er had always been mysterious to Xiao Yan. It wasn't surprising if this Dou Huang expert was connected to her.

Realizing this, Xiao Yan felt a sense of relief and a slight surge of warmth in his heart.

Xun'er...she had quietly done so much for him...

"Sir, Mo Yu initially hard the Yun Lan Sect. We ask that you respect the Yun Lan Sect's standing and hand Mo Yu over to us for punishnt. As for Xiao Yan, you may take him with you," Yun Leng spoke after considering the possible relationship between this Dou Huang expert and the Xiao clan. He decided to save face by keeping Mo Yu, an outsider to the Xiao clan.

If the other party was sensible, both sides could step back, and the matter would be resolved.

After all, Yun Leng did not wish to offend a Dou Huang-level expert if it could be avoided.

"Haha, Yun Lan Sect is truly impressive, but while you may hold sway in the Jia Ma Empire, you're insignificant on the Dou Qi continent. What gives you the right to speak to in such a manner?" Ling Ying mocked with a laugh.

As a mber of the Gu Clan, even though he didn't bear the Gu surna and was not particularly powerful within the clan, he still had the confidence to speak this way. To him, not only was the Yun Lan Sect trivial—even the top forces in the Central Plains would be beneath his notice.

Hearing this, Yun Leng's face turned ashen. He had already offered a compromise out of respect for the other party's strength, but Ling Ying showed no intention of accepting, completely disregarding the Yun Lan Sect.

If they backed down any further, wouldn't it make the forces within the Jia Ma Empire see the Yun Lan Sect as weak and easy to bully?

"I don't care what strength the Xiao clan possesses to look down on us, but in all these years, no one has ever humiliated the Yun Lan Sect like this. For the sake of our reputation, no one here will leave today, no matter who intervenes!"

"You're not capable," Ling Ying retorted sarcastically.

"I may not be capable, but..." Yun Leng realized that the mysterious figure in front of him was beyond his ability to handle. With Hai Bodong also present, he knew his limitations.

But to assu that the Yun Lan Sect only possessed this level of power was a grave mistake!

Taking a deep breath, Yun Leng's face took on a strange expression. He let out a sinister chuckle before pulling a cloud-white flute from his storage ring. Lifting it to his lips, he blew hard, emitting a sharp, unusual sound that echoed throughout Yun Lan Mountain.

The sharp notes reverberated through the entire mountain, lingering in the air.

The crowd in the plaza grew silent at Yun Leng's actions. Only the flute's piercing sound filled the air.

Jia Xingtian narrowed his eyes, exchanging a glance with Fa Ma, and suddenly seed to recall sothing, his pupils constricting.

"Yun Shan...he's not dead after all!"

As the flute's sound echoed, an overwhelming aura, like that of a waking dragon, engulfed Yun Lan Mountain, spreading over the plaza.

In an instant, all Yun Lan Sect disciples, driven by an innate reverence, knelt down toward the source of the aura. Though Yun Leng and the other elders didn't kneel, they bent down respectfully.

Seeing this, Mo Yu raised an eyebrow. Yun Shan, the Yun Lan Sect's Dou Zong, was finally going to show himself.

While Mo Yu pondered, the aura emanating from the depths of Yun Lan Mountain grew more intense.

Finally, a clear cry pierced the air, and under countless watchful gazes, a figure in white erged from the depths of Yun Lan Mountain, stepping into the void as he approached the Yun Lan Sect plaza.

This figure walked through the air without summoning Dou Qi wings. With each step, ripples spread through the void, and as the ripples faded, he had already moved forward hundreds of ters—an impressive sight.

Dressed in a simple white robe, the figure had a full head of white hair. As a light breeze stirred, his robe flowed around him, giving him an ethereal and refined air. Though he appeared quite young, his face was unlined, radiating a gentle glow like warm jade.

"Yun Leng, explain yourself. You know that I've said not to disturb my secluded cultivation unless it's a matter of utmost importance," Yun Shan said, his gaze shifting calmly to Yun Leng below.

"Old Sect Leader, it's a good thing you're here. Any later, and the reputation of Yun Lan Sect would've been trampled into the ground!" Yun Leng quickly replied.

Yun Shan's gaze swept over him, making Yun Leng's legs buckle, and he fell to his knees involuntarily.

"Where is Yun Yun?" Yun Shan asked, frowning slightly.

"The Sect Leader is out on business and has not yet returned," Yun Leng replied hastily. Then, without missing a beat, he exaggeratedly explained how Xiao Yan had allegedly cheated and how Mo Yu had injured the Yun Lan Sect elder.

Yun Leng's account was half-truth and half-lie, with subtle twists, making the Xiao clan appear entirely at fault.

"You aren't from the Xiao clan; you must be an expert from the Central Plains, correct?" After hearing Yun Leng's account, Yun Shan showed no reaction. Instead, he turned his attention to Ling Ying.

"Heh, as expected of a Dou Zong, your perception is sharp. But that's irrelevant. What's important is that you won't be laying a hand on Xiao Yan and Mo Yu, even if Yun Lan Sect has a Dou Zong," Ling Ying replied calmly, issuing a warning.

Yun Shan's brow furrowed slightly, and he cast a glance at Mo Yu and Xiao Yan. So the Xiao clan had connections with powers from the mainland?

"What if I refuse..." Yun Shan fell silent for a mont, then slowly rose into the sky without any further words. The surging energy around him caused the surrounding space to tremble faintly.

In front of so many onlookers, if he backed down just because of a vague and potentially nonexistent mainland power, neither he nor the Yun Lan Sect would have any standing left in the Jia Ma Empire!

Seeing this, Mo Yu sighed quietly, unsurprised.

After Yun Shan's hard-won breakthrough to Dou Zong with the help of the Hall of Souls, he was at his peak. How could he possibly retreat due to a few words from Ling Ying?

Ling Ying and Hai Bodong gazed at Yun Shan, who was rising steadily in the air, their faces serious and prepared for the impending clash.

Yet, just as tensions reached their peak, a young man calmly stepped forward under everyone's astonished gaze.

"Yun Shan Sect Leader, since this started because of , allow to be your opponent," Mo Yu's calm voice echoed across the plaza, making everyone freeze in place.

Countless gazes followed, landing on the person responsible for this whole incident, Mo Yu. Shock and disbelief appeared in their eyes as they processed what was happening.

Mo Yu... was challenging a Dou Zong?
