Central Plains.

A full year had passed since the descent of the Demonic Fla. Even though ti had moved on, the grand spectacle of that day remained a hot topic of discussion.

A year was neither too long nor too short, yet much had transpired in the Central Plains.

Shortly after the Demonic Fla descended, the Hall of Souls finally launched their retaliation against the Yuan Manor for destroying the Man Hall. Nearly one-third of the cities under the Yuan Manor’s control had co under attack.

However, in the face of the Hall of Souls’ aggressive assault, the Yuan Manor did not back down in the slightest. They gathered their forces and launched a fierce counterattack. Within just a year, the two superpowers had fought each other to the brink, their conflict raging like fire and water. Despite the heavy casualties on both sides, no decisive battle had yet occurred.

This was because the Yuan Manor of today was not weaker than the Hall of Souls. In fact, in terms of powerhouse numbers, they were even slightly superior!

The Yuan Manor was no longer the faction it once was. After subduing the Abyssal Lion Clan and the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Clan, their foundation had grown imnsely powerful.

What was even more shocking was that the Yuan Manor was not lacking in top-tier experts either. Their number of Dou Sheng-level powerhouses had reached an astonishing near-twenty, the majority of whom were the Thunder Slaves that Mo Yu had subdued in the Demonic Fla Realm.

These Thunder Slaves were originally Fire Slaves created by the Purifying Demonic Lotus Fla. Among them, five were One-Star Dou Sheng, three were Two-Star Dou Sheng, and two had even reached the terrifying level of Three-Star Dou Sheng!

A Ban Sheng was already considered a peak expert on the continent. As for a true Dou Sheng, they stood at the absolute pinnacle. Even among the Ancient Clans, such figures held extrely high status and were revered with utmost respect.

Yet Mo Yu, simply through his venture into the Purifying Demonic Lotus Fla’s domain, had brought back ten Dou Sheng-level powerhouses for the Yuan Manor. This was an enormous gain, one that would make anyone envious—especially Xiao Yan, who was still painstakingly trying to subdue the Purifying Demonic Lotus Fla.

Even Lei Ying couldn’t help but feel jealous upon learning of this. After all, even with the deep foundation of the Lei Clan, their number of Dou Sheng-level powerhouses only ranged between thirty and forty.

Thanks to the ten Dou Sheng Thunder Slaves, the Yuan Manor had not only managed to hold its ground against the Hall of Souls during their large-scale conflict, but it had even begun to gain the upper hand. If not for the Hun Clan secretly supporting the Hall of Souls, the latter might have already been wiped out completely.

As a result, the Yuan Manor’s prestige reached unprecedented heights across the Central Plains. After all, until now, no faction had ever been able to challenge the Hall of Souls and achieve such a remarkable battle record.

Thus, many people speculated that the position of hegemon over the Central Plains was gradually shifting from the Hall of Souls to the Yuan Manor!

However, just as all eyes were focused on the fierce battle between the Hall of Souls and the Yuan Manor, a shocking piece of news spread quietly across the continent—its origins unknown.

The Shi Clan—one of the Eight Ancient Clans—had mysteriously disappeared, just like the Ling Clan before them!

For a mont, an eerie sense of foreboding spread across the Central Plains.

The Shi Clan’s disappearance was identical to that of the Ling Clan. Before they vanished, their spatial realm had suddenly sealed shut. Then, when it reopened, the millions of clan mbers and their vassals had completely disappeared—not a single one remained.

Like a storm, the news of the Shi Clan’s disappearance swept through the entire Central Plains. Every faction was stunned by this earth-shattering event.

Imdiately after, countless suspicions and speculations arose. However, all fingers pointed toward two factions—the Hun Clan and the Gu Clan.

On this continent, only these two powers were capable of silently erasing an Ancient Clan like the Ling or Shi Clan.

For a ti, both factions beca the target of suspicion. As usual, the Hun Clan remained silent, neither confirming nor denying anything—fitting their usual enigmatic style.

The Gu Clan, however, found themselves in an awkward situation. They had always maintained good relations with the other Ancient Clans, but the disappearances of the Ling and Shi Clans suddenly strained those ties. The remaining clans beca wary and distrustful of them, even ceasing their regular interactions.

Faced with the silence of both the Gu Clan and the Hun Clan, the only remaining three Ancient Clans—the Yao Clan, the Lei Clan, and the Yan Clan—announced an alliance one month after the Shi Clan’s disappearance. They declared themselves as the Three-Clan Alliance.

The formation of the Three-Clan Alliance sent shockwaves through every faction. This was the first ti in history that three Ancient Clans had joined forces.

With spatial channels connecting their territories, the three clans fortified their strongholds into an impenetrable fortress. Only then did they manage to feel a slight sense of security. They began sending powerhouses to the Shi Clan’s realm in search of clues, hoping to uncover the culprit behind these disappearances.

Amidst this turbulent and ever-changing situation, at the highest platform of the central tower in Yuan City, a young man suddenly opened his eyes, revealing a pair of striking silver pupils.

As Mo Yu’s eyes snapped open, the Hundred-Zhang Taotie Grand Formation beneath him trembled violently.

This grand formation was vast, its intricate runes densely packed across the entire chamber. It seed as though a Taotie, the legendary devourer, had manifested—its gaping maw ready to consu the world.

At the array’s core lay an enormous pile of precious resources. Any single one of these items would be a priceless treasure even for a Dou Sheng, yet they were now stacked like mountains in this place.

In the next mont, these resources trembled as if drawn by an invisible force. Then, an awe-inspiring radiance erupted, and the Taotie Grand Formation activated at full power, hungrily devouring the vast trove of resources.

As the energy was absorbed, thick clouds of mystic energy mist erged, which were then drawn by another force and surged toward Mo Yu like a tidal wave. The energy condensed into a massive storm, its peak connected directly to Mo Yu’s crown chakra.

This astonishing phenonon startled Xiao Yixian and Qing Lin, who had been keeping watch nearby. Both of them exchanged looks of surprise as they gazed at the spectacle.

"With the Taotie Grand Formation and all these resources... it looks like his breakthrough is about to finish."

Just as Xiao Yixian spoke, a resonant inhalation echoed through the chamber.

Mo Yu lifted his head and took a deep breath!

BOOM!

With his breath, the hundred-zhang energy storm rushed downward like a raging flood, funneling straight into his mouth and disappearing into his body.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

As the terrifying energy surged into Mo Yu, shocking ripples of power overflowed from his body, causing the surrounding space to shatter into countless pitch-black fissures.

Whoosh!

The overwhelming disturbance imdiately drew the attention of many Yuan Manor experts. Though they were deeply astonished, none dared to approach the thousand-zhang periter, knowing that their Manor Lord Mo Yu was in secluded cultivation. They could only watch from afar as the phenonon unfolded.

Several streaks of light shot over from the distance, finally appearing above the massive tower. It was none other than She Lao, Zi Yan, Xiao Yu, Zi Huo, Yao Ming, and several of the most senior elders of Yuan Manor. At this mont, all of them were looking at Mo Yu, who was devouring a massive amount of energy, with astonishnt in their eyes.

"What a powerful aura! Mo Yu... he’s probably about to break through to Three-Star Dou Sheng, right?" She Lao exclaid in shock.

Hearing this, Zi Yan’s beautiful eyes remained fixed on Mo Yu. She then nodded slightly and said, "He’s almost there. Mo Yu was already extrely gifted. Even the Dou Sheng realm poses no obstacles for him.

"Moreover, over the past year, all the resources Yuan Manor seized from the Hall of Souls were absorbed and refined by this Taotie Grand Formation, allowing Mo Yu to devour them freely. So his breakthrough to Three-Star Dou Sheng is right at hand!"

Among those present, Zi Yan was the strongest, possessing the strength of a Four-Star Dou Sheng. Therefore, as soon as she spoke, everyone nodded in agreent, and their faces were soon filled with joy.

As the leader of Yuan Manor, the stronger Mo Yu beca, the stronger Yuan Manor would be. Although Three-Star Dou Sheng wasn’t at the true pinnacle of the continent, Mo Yu was still extrely young, and his future was limitless.

"Three-Star Dou Sheng... The manor lord’s talent in cultivation is truly astonishing." Yao Ming couldn’t help but exclaim. After relying on the Demon Saint Blood Essence and a year of arduous training, he had only just broken through to Three-Star Dou Sheng, yet Mo Yu had already caught up to him so quickly.

Boom!

While She Lao and the others conversed in the sky, the massive energy storm was completely devoured by Mo Yu. As the last trace of energy was absorbed into his body, the entire world gradually fell into silence.

Hoo...

A breath thick with energy slowly escaped from Mo Yu’s throat, carrying a terrifying aura that made others’ hearts tremble.

"Congratulations to the leader for erging from seclusion and breaking through to Three-Star Dou Sheng!"

Seeing Mo Yu finish his cultivation, the Yuan Manor high-ranking mbers quickly descended from the sky, cupping their fists in respect.

Mo Yu gave a faint smile in response to their congratulations. Clenching his fists, he was quite satisfied with his progress.

The Taotie Grand Formation was a specialized formation designed to devour and absorb resources. Over the past year, under Yuan Manor’s relentless plundering, Mo Yu had absorbed an imasurable amount of resources.

Only then had he managed to break through from Erxing Dou Sheng (Two-Star Dou Sheng) to Three-Star Dou Sheng. This demonstrated just how important having a powerful force was. If he had been left to collect these resources alone, it would have taken him at least ten years to achieve the sa result.

"What major events have occurred in Central Plains over the past year?"

After exchanging a few words with She Lao, Xiao Yu, and his other close confidants, Mo Yu turned to look at Xiao Li and asked.

At this ti, Xiao Li had already reached the peak of the Dou Zong realm. However, due to his limited talent, he had been stuck at this level for several years without breaking through.

Regarding this, Mo Yu could only feel helpless. Under normal circumstances, with Xiao Li’s talent, he would have only been able to reach the Dou Wang level at most. But due to a twist of fate, he had ended up as one of the high-ranking mbers of Yuan Manor and had beco one of the most influential figures in Central Plains.

For Xiao Li to break through his current bottleneck, he would likely have to wait until Xiao Yan advanced to Dou Di and awakened the full potential of the Xiao Clan’s bloodline.

Upon hearing Mo Yu’s question, the usual sharp and stern look on Xiao Li’s face softened slightly. He knew that, given his current strength, he had no qualifications to stand among this group. After all, the weakest among them had reached the peak of the Dou Zun realm, and there were even several Dou Sheng present. He, a re Dou Zong, was completely outmatched.

However, no matter how much Yuan Manor grew, Mo Yu had never removed him from its high ranks. Instead, Mo Yu had even assigned him the role of Yuan Manor’s intelligence chief, ensuring that he remained in the shadows and away from danger.

Xiao Li was well aware of the care his cousin had for him. While he felt gratitude in his heart, he also made sure to remain loyal and dedicated, completing every task Mo Yu entrusted to him.

Now that Mo Yu had asked about recent events, Xiao Li imdiately stepped forward and, in a short amount of ti, thoroughly reported all the major events that had occurred in Central Plains over the past year.

"Oh? The Shi Clan was wiped out? And the Lei Clan, Yan Clan, and Yao Clan ford the Three-Clan Alliance?"

After listening to Xiao Li’s report, Mo Yu was montarily stunned before narrowing his eyes slightly.

It seems that things were still developing according to their original trajectory. After annihilating the Ling Clan, the Hun Clan had now set their sights on the Shi Clan.

These two ancient clans were the weakest among the Eight Great Imperial Clans. In fact, compared to Yuan Manor, they weren’t much stronger. The Hun Clan specifically targeted these two weaker forces, proving that they preferred to pick the easiest prey first.

"By the way, the Lei Clan’s patriach sent envoys inviting Yuan Manor to join the Three-Clan Alliance. However, since you were in seclusion at the ti, I decided to put the matter on hold for now," She Lao added.

"Lei Ying, the patriach of the Lei Clan, invited Yuan Manor to join the Three-Clan Alliance?"

Mo Yu was slightly startled upon hearing this, a trace of surprise flashing through his eyes.

After all, the Three-Clan Alliance was ford by the Lei Clan, Yan Clan, and Yao Clan—three of the Eight Great Imperial Clans. Although Yuan Manor was strong, it wasn’t an ancient imperial clan. Yet, they were being invited to join?

"Hehe, Yuan Manor may not be an ancient clan, but you, the leader of Yuan Manor, are a mber of the Lei Clan. That alone qualifies you to join the alliance. More importantly, our current strength has earned us their recognition," She Lao chuckled, noticing Mo Yu’s confusion.

After hearing She Lao’s explanation, Mo Yu pondered for a mont before nodding slightly.

In the end, it all ca down to power.

Currently, Yuan Manor had gathered experts from both the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Clan and the Abyssal Lion Clan—two of the strongest magical beast clans. Combined with Yuan Manor’s own foundation and the ten Dou Sheng Thunder Slaves, their might was terrifying.

Not to ntion, with Zi Yan, the Four-Star Dou Sheng Dragon Emperor, Yuan Manor now had nearly twenty Dou Sheng experts. Even compared to the annihilated Ling Clan and Shi Clan, they were not inferior in strength.

If Mo Yu focused on expanding his lineage, given his lifespan, he might even be able to establish a family with Dou Di bloodlines.

For the Lei Clan to invite Yuan Manor, it was not only because of their strength but also a gesture of goodwill toward Mo Yu. From now on, Mo Yu would not just be a mber of the Lei Clan—he would be on equal footing with them.

Mo Yu welcod this developnt. With the Three-Clan Alliance as a platform, Yuan Manor might eventually take control of these three ancient imperial clans and absorb them.

Thinking of this, Mo Yu smiled slightly and said,

"Then inform my dear father-in-law that Yuan Manor agrees to join the Three-Clan Alliance!"
