The wind roared through the valley as Liu Xi's azure wings unfurled behind him. With a sharp beat, his figure turned into a streak of blue light, shooting through the air as he caught the small violet-haired girl who had been hurled backward.
Zi Yan dangled under his arm, her slender waist securely held in his grasp. Tilting her head upward with an indignant look, she protested, "Big Brother, it's not that I couldn't beat it! It's just that this body isn't convenient for fighting! My real body isn't smaller than that stupid monkey at all!"
Liu Xi chuckled, giving the little girl a light lift in his arm. The image of Zi Yan reverting to her true form—a young dragon as massive as the white ape itself—flickered through his mind. With an amused smile, he said, "No need to worry. Zi Yan is already fierce enough as she is. Leave the rest to ."
He turned his gaze forward. The air ahead rippled with a blood-red mist, pulsing with violent energy. Within it, a terrifying aura continued to surge outward.
A bone-chilling cold spread through the valley. Frost crept along the ground, and the air shimred with frozen crystals. Every breath turned to pale white fog as the entire valley transford into a realm of winter.
The blood mist thickened, like boiling scarlet liquid. From within ca heavy footsteps—each one echoing like a drumbeat in the bones.
Then, two blood-red eyes erged, glowing like lanterns in the dark.
When the mist finally cleared, the massive white ape strode into full view. Its fur, once pure as snow, was now dyed crimson, as if its blood had seeped from within and tainted its body. Its fra had grown even larger, muscles bulging with terrifying might, every motion radiating savagery and madness.
Zi Yan's bright face turned cautious, her voice tinged with unease. "Big Brother, that's its transford state! When it turns like this, it's stronger in every way—speed, power, endurance—but... it also gets a lot dumber!"
Liu Xi's eyes narrowed, eting the beast's crazed red gaze. There was no trace of reason left—only primal fury.
The white ape roared, beating its chest with thunderous force before opening its maw. A torrent of icy energy burst forth like a frozen beam of destruction.
Liu Xi raised his palm, and a surge of azure fire erupted from his hand. The flas twisted and swirled before condensing into a pillar of burning light. It shot forward, splitting the air with a roar, lting the frost in its wake.
Sizzle—
Ice and fla collided midair. The clash created a storm of vapor and smoke, expanding outward in a circular wave that swept the valley.
The frozen beam faltered first. The azure flas devoured it, then surged onward toward the ape.
Seeing his attack broken, the white ape howled, planting its massive feet into the ground. With a powerful leap, it vanished into a blur of red light, dodging the oncoming fire pillar that struck the mountain wall instead.
Boom!
The cliffside exploded, leaving a blackened hole that smoked faintly. The rock had been reduced to nothingness—vaporized by the Heavenly Fla.
From above ca another roar. The ape clung to the cliffside, its claws carving into stone. Kicking off the wall, it launched itself toward Liu Xi with murderous intent.
Liu Xi's hair whipped in the wind. He raised an eyebrow. "That speed... impressive."
He inhaled deeply and shouted, "Ignite!"
The blue flas surged outward, forming a sea of fire that engulfed the sky above the valley.
With a wave of his arm, the inferno surged upward, shaping into a half-spherical barrier of blazing fla that stood before him and Zi Yan.
He was an alchemist, not a brawler—fighting head-on was unnecessary.
The white ape's claws slamd into the barrier.
Hiss—!
Its shrieks echoed through the valley as the searing flas burned its flesh black. The stench of charred fur filled the air.
Liu Xi's eyes flashed. The fire shield rippled, and in the next instant, several tongues of azure fla shot out like serpents, lashing at the ape's body.
"Raaagh!"
The white ape jerked back, howling in agony as it tore its scorched claws away. Blisters burst across its arms, and dead flesh peeled off like burnt parchnt.
Liu Xi's voice was calm but commanding.
"Pill Fla Technique — Fire Ape Transformation."
At once, the flas in the sky began to boil. They twisted and surged toward him, condensing into a massive sphere of roaring fire.
The heat grew unbearable.
With a resounding crack, the fireball split open—and from within erged a colossal ape made entirely of blue fla, its eyes blazing with intelligence and fury.
The fiery creature bellowed and lunged, slamming into the blood-red giant.
The valley shook with their clash.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Each collision sent shockwaves through the mountains, scattering trees and rocks. The flaming ape was immortal fla given form—it would not tire or die. Every blow burned through flesh, every strike seared the world.
The white ape's fur was nearly gone. Its skin was blackened, blistered, and bleeding. Even with its ice affinity, it could barely resist the infernal heat.
From a distance, Zi Yan's violet eyes sparkled with admiration. "Big Brother, you're amazing! You didn't even move, and you already defeated that ugly monkey!"
Liu Xi smiled faintly, his tone calm as still water. "It's just a little monkey. Hardly worth ntioning."
The white ape scread again, writhing helplessly in the grasp of the fire ape.
"Pill Fla Technique — Fire Python Transformation!"
The fiery giant's body quivered, then shattered into fragnts. From within burst three enormous azure pythons, coiling around the white ape's limbs.
"Rrraaaahh!"
The beast struggled, its claws tearing into flaming scales. Its flesh sizzled under the burning coils, the sll of cooked at filling the valley.
Liu Xi's eyes glinted sharply. "Fla Blade!"
He tossed Zi Yan aside to safety. Blue fire surged from his palm, swirling and condensing into a massive blade of pure fla—five ters long, shimring with lethal heat.
The pressure in the air changed. Even the wind seed to split before the weapon's edge.
Liu Xi's wings spread wide.
He swung.
A flash of light—then silence.
The white ape froze mid-roar. Its eyes were still wide with rage as its head slowly slid from its shoulders and tumbled to the ground.
Bang!
The enormous corpse fell with a thunderous crash. In seconds, the azure fire consud what remained, reducing the once-mighty beast to ashes.
Liu Xi exhaled softly, watching the flas flicker.
'Even so... the fight still felt lacking. I'll need to refine my control further.'
