Before long, the acrid scent of burnt flesh reached his nose. Ahead, on the blue-stone ground, lay the charred body of Elder Qin Xuan, still faintly smoking.

A gray-robed old man knelt beside him, frantically pulling bottles of pills from his storage ring, his brows knit tight.

Prying Qin Xuan's mouth open, Liu Xi administered the pills one by one, then guided their dicinal essence with his Spiritual Power, carefully soothing the chaotic energy within.

After several tense monts, the old man's breathing stabilized.

"The worst has passed," Liu Xi murmured. Rising to his feet, he looked toward the gray-robed elder. "Elder Li, I'll leave him to your care. He needs rest. I'm going to assist the Grand Elder."

"Understood. Be careful—those from the Black-Corner Region are no easy foes!"

The gray-robed elder lifted Qin Xuan's unconscious body and departed in a streak of light.

Liu Xi turned his gaze toward the distant sky, where Su Qian now faced Han Feng and his group. His Spiritual Sense swept across the battlefield.

"Six Dou Huang… nine Dou Wang… and that one—Yuan Yi—he ca too."

His expression hardened. Spreading his Dou Qi wings, Liu Xi joined the other Elders rising into the air.

"Grand Elder!"

As the Inner Academy's forces assembled behind Su Qian, he took a mont to assess the situation. "Two Dou Huang, thirteen Dou Wang… such a pity about Qin Xuan. The Outer Academy reinforcents will take ti to arrive." His gaze turned sharp. "If not for those two monsters, Gold and Silver Brothers, I'd have slain every one of them tonight!"

Drawing in a deep breath, he roared, "Elders of the Inner Academy! Tonight's invasion is a disgrace beyond asure! This is the mont to defend our honor—even if it costs our lives! None of these intruders are to leave alive!"

"Yes!"

The unified shout shook the night sky. In an instant, dozens of auras blazed like stars, bathing the darkness in radiant light.

Just then, Han Feng's voice bood across the air.

"Wait!"

The pressure from his shout briefly disrupted the Elders' montum. A few even coughed from the sudden surge of force.

Han Feng's burning gaze locked onto Liu Xi. He pointed forward.

"I ca here only for Liu Xi. If you co with willingly, I'll spare the rest. Otherwise—tonight, this place will be awash in blood."

At that, Liu Xi stepped forward, passing the other Elders to face Han Feng directly.

"Liu Xi, get back!" Su Qian barked. "The Inner Academy has no cowards who fear death! You don't need to sacrifice yourself!"

Liu Xi smiled faintly and gestured for him to remain calm. Ignoring Han Feng's bluster, his eyes swept over the gathered Black-Corner elites.

"You're all here for profit, nothing more. So, I'll make you an offer—kill Han Feng, and I'll pay double."

A murmur rippled through the air. Several of the Black-Corner experts exchanged uneasy looks. Double pay? The temptation was enormous—but no one dared to move.

Then, laughter broke out.

"Haha! Boy, you've got so nerve. If you can really pay double, my brother and I might just help you kill Han Feng!"

The twin figures of Gold and Silver Brothers laughed heartily. Unlike the others, they feared neither Han Feng nor Su Qian; together, their strength could rival a Dou Zong.

"Gold, Silver!" Han Feng's tone turned sharp, his smile strained.

Liu Xi's lips curved upward. "No problem. Whatever Han Feng offers, I can match—and double."

Silver chuckled darkly. "Not so fast, little one. We don't want ordinary rewards. The paynt we require... is a Zong Breaking Pill."

The air instantly froze.

Even the Inner Academy Elders drew sharp breaths. A Zong Breaking Pill! A 6th Tier peak-grade pill—sothing every 9-Star Dou Huang in the world would kill for, for it could grant a real chance to ascend to the Dou Zong realm.

Liu Xi's smile faded slightly as he considered. "It's not impossible. You provide the ingredients, I'll refine it."

The night erupted into chaos once more.

The Gold and Silver Elders exchanged a glance—then lunged forward together, their bodies flickering like phantoms as they struck at Su Qian.

Su Qian's eyes narrowed in grim determination. "So be it!"

His robe sleeves swept outward as his aura exploded, colliding head-on with the two old monsters. The air trembled with every impact—the power of a Dou Zong far outstripped any Dou Huang, and though he suppressed them steadily, neither side could end it quickly.

anwhile, all across the battlefield, the other Dou Huang and Dou Wang from the Black-Corner Region clashed with the Inner Academy Elders in blinding bursts of color.

And at the center—Han Feng himself, wreathed in deep blue flas, strode forward to et Liu Xi.

Liu Xi's expression tightened.

'If only Elder Qin hadn't fallen so early… if Vice-Dean Hu Qian were here, this would be different. For now, I'll just have to hold him off.'

With a wave of his hand, azure flas roared to life around him—the Green Lotus Core Fla bursting outward like a living tide, crashing toward Han Feng.

Han Feng sneered. "So this is what you rely on? Let's see how your fla compares to mine!"

The Sea Heart Fla around his body surged violently, its blue depths swelling into a roaring ocean.

The sky split into two colors—half sea-blue, half jade-green—two seas of fire clashing violently, divided only by a thin veil of white smoke where they t.

The air scread as the Heavenly Flas collided, distorting the heavens themselves.

Recognizing the danger, all other combatants instinctively fled the area. The pressure of two Heavenly Flas eting head-on was sothing no ordinary Dou Qi could withstand.

Above the burning night sky, blue and green raged against each other, swallowing light and sound alike.

The battle of flas had begun.
